Chris, you aren’t just creating fragrance videos, you’re creating art. Your videos never cease to amaze me, and in all seriousness, you and George should just combine channels. You two together are awesome. That intro? Amazing. Also, never in a million years did I ever think I would see a Taylor of Old Bond Street on a RUclips fragrance list! I am a DE shaver, and have been using TOBS Sandalwood Shaving Cream for years. Love it, and love the cologne. I also own TOBS Jermyn Street Cream and Cologne, also very nice. The Jermyn Street cologne is alcohol free. In fact, some of my fave scents I discovered through my wet shaving hobby. You want to try some awesome artisan EDP scents? Check out Noble Otter Soap Co. Awesome video guys! One tip I would say is for example when there are two of you, you can change the auto focus to a ‘zone’ as wide as possible rather than a point in the middle, I could see it was focusing on the Center which was the wall behind you in the cafe. It’s been a while since I used a canon but with a bit of fiddling you can add the Center it zone auto focus options to your quick menu so you can easily swap back and forth. Love love love the direction you guys are going in keep it up 😎
I know this Sam and I'm kicking myself. The focus box was set to centre frame after focusing on the bottle. I thought we looked sharp on the screen but sadly we weren't. I usually shoot manual to avoid focus issues and I paid the price for not doing so on this occasion.
FRAG-MENTAL haha I feel you on that one don’t worry about it too much though video came out great! Yeah one thing I remember from making music videos etc back in the day is that the display without focus assist zoomed in is very misleading. You got off lightly haha I’ve had whole shoots where I had to trawl through all the footage just to find sharp bits after thinking all was fine. Love the vid though good stuff 😎

Excellent vid hahaha. I got Trumpers Sandlewood from Burgins in York 3 years ago before it closed. Wore it quite a bit, layered it with Edition Blanche (found the drydown of Blanche reminiscent of the Sandlewood used in the Trumper frag) also it reminded me a big Egoiste. I had a sample of Sandalo for about a year now and literally started wearing it a week ago, wore the last spritz today before I watched this vid so that's pretty odd haha. George is right, the dry down of it is stellar. Thanks for this vid! One of my favourite trips is York for beer and fragrance, it's been a long time so it was a nice little trip down memory lane.

You are without doubt my favourite fragrance reviewer out their. Taylors of Old Bond Street Sandlewood Cologne is my go to after a wet shave and longevity I get about a solid 6 hours with good sillage for about 3 hours which is great for a cologne concentration maybe shaving before hand helps in someway. I am 27 years of age and love the vintage scents If this was a Penhaligons fragrance they would charge quadruple the price maybe more. Keep up the brilliant reviews. :)

Great video guys. My fondest memory of York. back in 1998, there used to be a Crabtree & Evelyn shop. I purchased the last bottle of Sienna, not long before it was discontinued. It will always take me back to York.

The only one I tried and bought is Trumper. Of all the fragrances I own this is my ABSOLUTE favourite, it smells so refined and expensive, highly recommended.

Try the Taylor or Old Bond Street Mr. Taylor cologne. It’s better than TOBS sandalwood; however, it doesn’t last long either. Also, same price. I use TOBS shaving products and have several of their creams. They have the “gentleman” scent down to a science 👍

I found your comments on the DR Harris Sandalwood interesting and the opposite to my own experiences. It is the most masculine aftershave out there.The guys I work with often ask what I'm wearing when I wear it to work ( I never tell them as I don't like being copied) and two of the office girls often seem to find a reason to leave their desks and approach me with some minor query, nostrils flaring... 😂
I find the Aftershave version more potent than the cologne myself. The Taylors is too powdery and sweet for me.
Gotta love George’s style ....very dapper indeed...

Before this video I was actually debating between Taylor or Trumper for a nice clean gentlemanly scent. Must say I trust Chris on Trumper, the vanilla aspect definitely helped as a deciding factor. Great video!

That always happens in a cafe doesn't it. Makes me think whether there's someone out there beaming a single thought out in intervals so that everyone picks up on it at the same time. Happens at the shops too. Nobody at the cashiers when you're walking around, but then when it's time to pay, suddenly everyone's busy and there's a line.

Luckily for us Londoners trumpers Taylor's of bond st and dr harris are within spitting distance of each other in piccadilly ( close to roja dove and floris shops) trumpers sandalwood is a fantastic niche type fragrance Taylor's is also a beautiful sandalwood both are traditional shaving shops and also have fantastic shaving products and fragrances!
I have all acquas di parma in my collection and Ambra and Mirra all those are good fragrances too

Another great video.. I've only got into fragrances this year and mentioned it to my dad as he was asking what I wanted for my birthday.. Spicebomb extreme I asked for and for.. I asked him what he likes and he said the best fragrance he ever got was when he was young and couldn't remember the name but said it was a sandlewood fragrance.. How he knew this I have no idea but even today he still remembers this.. Could be as far back as 50 years ago.. For Xmas this year I think ill get him the Goe f trumper one.. I would love to here your thoughts on geo f trumper havana if you've ever tested it.. Cheers. Great video as always
