Hey! I memorized all the steps for this and made this for my interschool origami competition! I got 3rd place, as the competition was a very poor one; they were very lenient, and we had to make a ‘background’ with an ‘object’ for each model. I did not make one and presented this model on its own, saying that it is against what I do, and I still got 3rd! I can bet the 1st and 2nd place winners made a really cool background (paints and stuff), but again, it shouldn’t help them get a higher rank!
@@Shrektopuz There wasn’t any problem, its just that they had marks for the background, although it is a competition about origami, not about how good you can make your background to be.
@@selo23398 I have made this model quite a few times before, so I already knew a lot about it. I just had to go through it in the morning once again to fully memorize it.

This is the first intermediate-level origami I ever tried. I struggled with the head until I had to give up because the paper had softened up too much and I was worried I'd rip something if I kept trying. Weeks later, after doing origami on a daily basis, I mustered up the courage to give it a second try. And it worked! It was the only origami model I hadn't managed to complete, so finally being able to finish it was sooo satisfying. Practice indeed makes perfect. I'm so happy. 🐉

*For those who could not finish this origami I have 3 tips to give. 1st tip: Do not give up doing origami if you have done something, continue to the end. 2nd tip: This origami is of an intermediate level, so if you do not have much experience in this area. Tip 3: I recommend that you learn to make origami simpler than this, example: Tsuru. Try to make the origami more than 3 times if possible. I even had to do 2 times to hit the 2nd.*

Paper : no no this is impossible 😅
At 73, I have become interested in origami. I of course am an absolute beginner but have made a few simple projects- boxes etc. I am fascinated at your skills and especially the creation of this dragon. Thank you for your channel. I have saved this Origami Dragon video, subscribed to your channel and in hopes I will get to this level. Thank you for your demonstration but most of all the inspiration. Many Thanks!
I have done it so many times and I now know all the steps in my head 🙃
Yo.... I luv how u said this isn’t easy how to make a dragon and it was a bit hard but it worked out to be a standing dragon 👍🏿👍🏿
OMG I‘M SO PROUD! Feels like I‘ve just mastered doodle jumps end boss. Wish I could post a photo of my Dragon in here...lol.

Two years ago I tried then gave up. A year ago I tried, got a little further, and gave up. Just now I finally managed to finish it and it looks good to me.
I didn't realize that I commented on this video a year ago when I tried it for the second time.
I'm absolutely like you
Just decided to come back and read my comments cause I suddenly remembered this video now I'm looking at the related videos wanting to get back into doing an little origami
Thank you very much Ko Nakashima. I started origami tomorrow and learned how to make a dragon. That's amazing!
Took one try thankfully the instructions were very great albeit this gave me mental pain and finger cramps in the end I’d say it was worth it
Thank you very much very very very very much. I recommend you to try it too. I tried it and it was beautiful. You've tried hard for those who really can't. You have a lot of effort in this. Again, thank you very much :)
My mother's boyfriend made 2 of those for me on my birthday, and they where both perfect. Much respect to him for being able to do that, because oh my god this is so difficult
You know the best way to learn these things😂 is to learn directly by the master's guidance cuz for me I took approximately 6 hours to complete this, not perfect ofcourse 😅 I wish I could send you guys a pic 👍
Reading other comments I got sorta uncertain , but the video is super well done!
I struggled (quite) a bit, I’m new to origami, but with a bit of perseverance it is really not that difficult!
Thanks a lot for sharing your amazing work!
awesome! made it the first time!!!! thanks alot for the tutorial. it looks amazing!!!!

Wow! I can't believe I managed to learn this model correctly just from the diagram! Definitely skipped learning a few detailing steps cause I was doing it with Post-its but with the vid and a full sheet it's perfect! 💯 ❤

Now I wasted 5 more papers on this orgami 6th time I successfully made it
Thank u for the tutorial😊✌️
Thanks so much for your sharing. My children love this dragon so much.
Nice tutorial Jo!
Made it in the first go, although I found the head and wings part a bit tough, but in the end it came out beautifully!
WAIT U DID IT FIRST TRY!? YOU ARE A LEGEND
