13:00 I never got so angry at a piece of paper in my entire life, I give up for today, I'll try again tomorrow but I'M NOT HAPPY RIGHT NOW (The tutorial is cool btw I actually really like it)
They have some magic paper that defies physics. It's not going to be flat; it's going to be 3-D at this point. Just be delicate with pulling out the bottom flap. Once you get it out, it's just like the other side.
Thank you, Jo, for making me an "origamist" intermediate, you helped me to fulfill my dream. You deserve so much more than you have now. Thank you so much
Dear Jo Nakashima, I absolutely love what you do. Your tutorials help bring out my inner passions. Keep up the great work! I love your tutorials! -Kulchitt

This is a great tutorial! I folded it and it's pretty fun to figure out. I didn't have any problems with the paper though. Guys, if I can do it, you can do it!
Awesome model and definitely the hardest model I have made. I had a couple of "wtf" moments but watching the parts over and over again I managed to complete this model. I just hoped that I had a different paper... now the green/white paper doesn't quite create the illusion. Awesome, awesome, keep up the good work!
Esta es la mejor tortuga de origami, por su sencillez y porque queda totalmente trabada de por vida. Una maravilla de Marc Vigo. Gracias Jo por enseñarla a todo el mundo. Un abrazo
Just finished this model using 15x15 cm tant paper, if anyone is wondering if it´s possible, only final shell and leg folds are a bit tough. Awesome tutorial!
I love love love this turtle! The way the shell is folded is amazing. I didn't have green tissue foil, so I wet folded it out of Tant paper. Wet folding is definitely necessary. By the way, thanks for the tissue foil habit. I finally bought some and am totally hooked.
Thank you for making a video tutorial on this and showing it to us! This was like a breath of fresh air to fold, and I really like the process of how the shell is formed :)
Skill level used: %0.001. like holy crap!!! So good!! Thank you. I now have a surprise for my best friend, and yes, he loves turtles. Thanks, love you 3000 ❤️❤️❤️
Nice tutorial. My first couple of attempts didn't end up all that pretty, but now that I am starting to understand what I am doing, the result is way cleaner. Very satisfying.
Me before making- I will draw a picture of me and my paper turtle. (*draws flawless sketch of me and turtle*) Me after creating a green crumpled up and creased paper ball- Hmm. I might stick to sketching for a while.
I made this and I loved it thx so much because my cousin just got cancer stage 3 and her favorite animal was a turtle and I gave my paper turtle to her and I saw a smile on her face and I started crying because I never saw a smile on her face sense she got cancer so thank you so much for this video sooooooooo much.
This one was pretty tricky and mine could use some work, but I actually finished it! I'm gonna give this to my dad, he now has a collection of origami animals from me lol
I did it with a 30x30 irised paper, the result is AWESOME! The shell is matt, the skin is shiny. The turtle is 12cm long and 6cm tall. It take me 45 min.
For my first time this had right amount of difficulty..... I also used generic a4 paper so it was harder I think but it came out good..... I'm happy with it
Yes, that's a hard fold! I replay this step like twenty time to understand, looking at Jo Nakashima hand, making the same move and after that fold everything go smoothly to the end :)
Beltenebros yall i swear i cant get past this step... ive been trying to do it for like 30 mins now and replayed it for more than 40 times but still...
To watch it is one thing, to try is another. Simple! It's a work of his hard-wired brain, not of the ordinary public. Enjoy his videos for your frustration not to accumulate!
I love origami, it really calms me down, making me focus on it rather than anything bad. This turtle left me puzzled a couple of times and the result didn't come out quite clean, but I'm going to give it a few more tries
Ur instructions are easy to follow. My turtle is done. But not perfect as urs. It was my first attempt. Will keep on practicing on my skills. Thank you so much ❤️
Just amazing! I am a beginner on origami and it was noticeable the level of complexity of that turtle but the tutorial was so clear and simple that gave me confidence to do it. Thank you!
WOW I can't believe I made it :D :D :D I found this harder (and _more_ frustrating) than the dragon..! But I also used origami paper that's a bit too rigid...
Jo Nakashima San, I like your origami and because that, I learned to make many origamies from you... Because I tried so many other origamies from you, this was too easy... Anyways, I love Origami! I love Japan! Regards, Madhav Jayan, an Indian 12 year old boy who is a fan of Jo Nakashima
