- Sky News host Rowan Dean says there have been mass protests in Canada involving convoys of trucks which went largely unnoticed by the media.
Vision shows large numbers of truck drivers protesting against vaccine mandates which were imposed on drivers whose job is to frequently cross the US-Canada border.
“It is mind-blowing how big this protest is and how the media has managed to either completely ignore it or misrepresent it,” Sky News host Rita Panahi said.

I live in Ottawa. We live within mere feet of the freeway that leads to downtown, and hearing the horns honking yesterday was unreal. My son and his buddies went downtown, his car covered in flags, to join the protest. For my son and his friends, all 19 yrs old and all fully vaccinated, this was very much about the having every bit of enjoyment taken from them in the last 2 years. They are angry. They are fed up. They feel no hope for their future.

The latest vision shows thousands and thousands of ordinary Canadians coming to help the peaceful protest. To give you an idea of how big this is, here in Quebec people often ignore Canada as a whole, mainly due to language and cultural barriers, but today, I see A METRIC TON of Quebecers confidently say they're proud to be CANADIANS, waving both flags relentlessly and full of positive energy. We feel this probably twice as much here, because our Province has had the absolute worst mismanagement and government overreach of any other Canadian province, and we can't wait to take this to the next level in Quebec city to impose the will of the people on Legault's corrupt and inexcusably despotic government. My entire family took part in supporting the huge convoy passing by our city. It was families, children, the elderly. It’s an incredible thing to see. And whenever our government paid media showed up the people looked at them with total contempt. I’ve not been proud of Canadians for a very long time now but this past week has shown me that the people actually do realize the rot in our system and are willing to go out in incredibly freezing weather to show that fact..

I was at Parliament Hill on Saturday and Sunday. Yes, it was incredible. There are no litter bins on Wellington, probably because they're scared of bombs, but the truckers had large black bin bags and tied them to lamp posts, their trucks, sign posts, etc., and everyone used them. No garbage anywhere. Such respect! You should see the place at the end of Canada Day - it's knee deep in garbage and a crew has to work all night to clean it up. And, yes, it was cold. -23 C on Saturday. There were some great signs too. I liked one that had some prison bars with two hands gripping them from inside the cell. The heading was Trudeau's New Home and the caption at the bottom was simply: Crime Minister.
I'm a Canadian who stood on an overpass over the 401. We stood side by side with family, coworkers, and friends... all Patriots. I'm 45 years old, and I have never in my life felt the passion that I felt that night. Not ever. God bless these truckers. God bless all freedom loving people on the planet.

Just made it home last night from the Freedom Convoy and let me tell you something - it was amazing! You can't imagine the spirit of ordinary folk all gathered together showing great courtesy to one another - not violence, not disrespect and not terrorism ffs - and the shared experience leaves me almost speechless. Hugs between strangers, high fives and fist bumps and the wonderful sounds of thousands of shiny happy people....amazing. I stayed downtown on the 20th floor of the Marriot and I slept like a baby to the lullaby of horns, shouts and laughter. When someone who NEEDS noise cancelling headphones just to maintain sanity in a noisy world, that is saying something. Proud to be #unacceptable!!

We are now back to school but we have to test 3 times a week even if vaccinated. People cant dine in.. get groceries.. go to movies... go into a gov building if you are not vaccinated. They cant travel by train or plane...But..

I have no doubt the Supreme Court would agree. But getting a case to the Supreme Court normally takes years. So don't count on anything happening in that respect for a very long time.

As someone who lives in Ottawa thank you for real news coverage on this story, yes the media here is misrepresenting it, they show one nazi flag and one confederate flag and try to paint the numerous trucks that passed my home with Canadian, UK, American, and F trudeau flags, the honking all day was actually beautiful.
They showed that Confederate flag on the back of a pick up at least 200 times. It was ridiculous. One flag and one guy in black gear and a black mask on, oh the horror. Then a couple of flags with swastikas on them. Rinse and repeat. There is a video from Alberta where the news reporters actually are filming the back end of a group of protesters saying "nobody showed up", the guy on FB filming them turned around and walked through 100's and 100's of protestors and trucks getting ready to roll. It's a real eye opener when you see main stream news lying and blocking and just not recording world event history in the in making. It's shameful and disgusting. What would Walter Cronkite say?

I was out yesterday about 4 hours from Ottawa and the support was mind blowing! What I saw and was part of is Canadians peacefully supporting the Truckers, standing up and speaking out for FREEDOM.....Freedom for ALL people. It's way beyond masks and mandates, it's about FREEDOM! I saw none of what mainstream media is reporting...It's shocking what they are reporting. . I have been sent live video all day and night from Ottawa...It is absolutely peaceful! there us a guy going from truck to truck and posting on line his interviews direct from the truckers. Many of them are not employed any longer. Many own nothing except their trucks and now can't work. It's shameful.

I am from Quebec and I was disgusted when I saw the PM said minority. I do not believe that at all. He is lying and it is actually majority. We are just stuck at home in this cold winter and the truckers are heroes and the people outside standing in -20°C weather. Fighting for our freedom and the invasion of our privacy has got to stop. They want to tax people for not getting boosters or unvaccinated people. They want us to show passports just to buy a coffee or buy a shirt. It went too far.
