You should find a way to play the HD remaster of FFX. The new and improved skill grid makes it much easier to use all the characters, and also lets you put them towards roles(or dual role) that you want them to do vs sort of being put on a train you had no control of for a long time (original) The story really does get fleshed out well and the characters get developed much more then in many other FF games. I initially disliked FFX at release(well maybe just not on my top five list of FF games) but the remaster has bumped it up that list a lot.
I was around 13 that time. I didn't play it, just watched my older cousin playing it on PS2. heard from cousin that it was hard because limited availability of equipment compared to previous FF like FF7 and FF8. I completed FF7 only while my cousin finished FF8. well, in the end, my friend and I just bought the gameplay VCDs of FFX. haha
Shuyin and Lennes story really makes cry. When it comes to war, love doesn't survive often. If it does, the two involved are very lucky and should take the chance to live and treasure each other as long as they can.
I hope there is a better love story in the final fantasies to come a love that transcends life, death, war and heartache but for now Tidas and yuna Are the best love ever
I remember soo much flack on this game when it was first announced, and the direction it was going. Now that I'm older I see there was soo much cheerfulness and fun things going on, trying to cure the sadness in Yuna. The design on this game was genius.
It ruined the perfectly written bittersweet ending in FFX. Overly happy endings are just overdone in most media and having one here was just 100% fanservice for sales.
I think this game was trying to mold her out of character first with her image and choice of lifestyle to her demeanor. She's still cute nonetheless with a hint of bad ass.
I know people are divided on this game, but I love it. It tells the story of Yuna and the people of Spira after breaking free from Yevon's teachings - because of this, it has to feel different from FFX. And it gives us the happy ending that Yuna and Tidus both deserve.
Squenix ruined this lovely ending by expanding on it in mobius and books. As far as I'm concerned, the story ended here and everything after doesn't exist
im just glad 2.5 novel was utterly trashed and bad reviews to kill it while it lasted and kept X-2 as the true ending of the series along with everything else with it. Don't know what was going through Kazuhige Nojima mind when he was writing 2.5. like I get the plot about going back 1000 years ago and resolving that issue, but to kill tidus making him a mere unset with special blessing, but if he finds out he died he disappears, then the re-creation of sin just to bring back happiness for the followers of Yevon although Yevon was the reason despair was there In not just the first but also the second time of spira. so she basically is the new Yu Yevon or Yunalesca and re-creating the thing she once set out to make eternal peace and not follow false hope.
Ironically...is my first final fantasy i reached 100% first...my ps2 damaged seriously the X before i reached Yu Yevon...actually im playing in steam...for reach that goal. my second and third i completed was xiii and xiii 2
it is not technically only been a few minutes for Titus since they defeated Sin ? he would probably go wtf on the new ship, and yuna outfit, and Lulu's baby.
I love how Tidus ignores the fact that Yuna runs to his arms wearing thoses JPop clothes after all the time he was sleeping under water whitout seeing her...
That FFX-2 Gunner official outfit of Yuna is similar to Jecht's appearance in FFX. Check the similarity, especially on the side cloth and chest tattoo.
I was in high school when FFX came out and my hair was very short. I wanted to look like Meg Ryan, but every time I blow dried it I looked like Tidus. I'm glad someone else was able to make that connection.
Just finished this game for the first time after trying for years to get into the game and like it... Beat Shuyin, got to the Chapter 5 complete screen, and lo and behold... the game crashes. So thanks for putting the endings up, cos I really couldn't sit through all the boss fights again just to potentially crash another time!
There were moments when this game was just too wacky to be a sequel to FF-X but then glimpse like this reminds me why Yuna was so worth watching as she remembers what choices or little they had in terms of sacrificing their allies and seeing them go in front of them. Aww Yuna. Meanwhile, the true ending - so satisfying after the sad ending she got in FFX. Story of Lenne and Shuyin is heartbreaking and when set against that beautiful ballad, you can't help but fall in love with this storyline and a lesson learned - don't hold grudges and forget about the important things that are right in front of you. #ItAllBeganWhenISawThisSphereOfYou
I really adored Shuyin and Lenne and I think it was one of the best plotlines in history. Their relationship was so symbolic in the way it pretty much taught the world of Spira what love truly is. Love isn't limited by distance or by life or death. Love goes beyond death and can reach endless lengths if its as strong as theirs. The "1000 Words" theme is perfect for the game and I just loved every part of it, as silly as it could get sometimes. Overall though, it was quite a professionally great game and sequel to the first one.
This game is so hard for me to like but only because I adored Tidus (who was a welcome change from all of the brooding stoic characters that litter the FF franchise) and Yuna and desperately wanted them to have a happy ending. My ideal ending is the two together. However...from a writing standpoint, a bittersweet ending fits best for this game. Being older, I now understand that this game wasn't about Tidus per se, it was about Yuna and Spira as a whole moving forward and changing. Yuna becomes so strong and it's evident in X-2 and even Last Call. Yuna becomes this amazing strong person and it's the memory of Tidus, their time together, and their adventures that helped facilitate that change. His "death" serves an importance purpose as far as her character development. Our dreams never die, the truly spectacular ones always stick with us for the rest of our lives, driving us forward. Also, the female empowerment in this game was subtle to young me but as an adult now, I can see the intricacy of it. Layered and deceptive, it's definitely aged well.
Good point. Good observation. Their friendship goes beyond the physical world. Tidus was not even particularly real considering he was a spirit and all. Perhaps this had something to do with her spiritual journey. I would not have thought that without your comment. Tidus was like a spirit gaurdian for her much like her other summons. Very sweet.
1000 years and two restless soulmates found each other. I love the beautiful ending they got while the piano version of 1000 words played in the background. Great touch.😊
i think this game is the greatest love story game of all time,i wish i could meet someone who would fight for me how yuna an Tidus fight for each other . to stay with one another.its very beautiful.
Beautiful? I guess it kind of is? Isn't it? Strong friendship? Passion, love (is passion ane love the same?) Or loyalty. Absolutely beautiful. Hopefully these exist somewhere in the world. Yea? Hard to even fathom such concepts. The world can seem so dark at times.... :) LoL
i was 8 years old when i first played ffx then 11 for ffx-2. i've never seen the ending where they both go back to zanarkand. so much joy filled my heart. I never asked for a ffx-3 because these two stories were just perfect for me enough to call them my favorite ff game. all i want is a remake like they did with ff7 but i know that will take forever to come true. one day hopefully my childhood can relive this amazing story in the future
I’m not a Final Fantasy fan but I love stories like this and I heard about the extra content this remaster came with. I truly do not believe the novel or the audio drama happened and/or is canon.
You know, i think be may actually disappear, basically, because at the end of it after she pushes him into the water, and looks up and at his hands and she is smiling at first then has a open mouth near shock look, then the camera pans out and you see her just standing there.. alone.. no water movement, no sight of him, nothing. So it makes me believe he disappeared slowly after that.
49:04 this point indicates that she meeting with Tidus is just her imagination since she is alone there and Tidus suddenly goes quiet. Or she only was granted a chance to meet him temporarily through her dreams. The sad song in the background is also a hint. Yes damn, I prefer the bittersweet ending of X.
Huh I think you’re right, the scene lingers way too long on just her and no tidus in sight. Bizarre to go through that whole happy reunion to end it like this
I must admit, the tone of FFX-2 felt at odds when I played it at first. I wanted the dark broody hopeless atmosphere of FFX Spira. But then I saw changes in society and I saw hope and optimism. Conflict due to people trying to make sense of things after such a revolutionary change. Yuna and the Gullwings caught in the middle of it. I realized life moves on and I saw FFX-2 as a worthy successor of FFX.
I loved this game as a kid, the true ending on the beach was really nice and still is but the rest of the game is such a cringefest now that I look back on it
FFX - perfect bittersweet ending, that stayed in our heads weeks after we finished the game. FFX-2 - perfect happy ending, that let our memories of this overwhelming series sleep in freedom. FFX-2.5/Audiodrama - wtf... let tidus disappear, take him back, let tidus die, take him back and let him loose the love of his life. Thats just diabolic and it's definitely not an end. You gave us two perfect endings.. now you have to do it a third time!
Oh, the many hours I've put into these FF games, especially this one...FF X and X-2 were my first entrance into the FF series. Even though I've played mostly all of them within the series, the X and X-2 were the most memorable.
You know I can't be the only one that noticed this but why did they make zell from final fantasy 8 into an Al bhed on final fantasy 10-2? And don't tell me I was the only one that noticed. I'm not that smart that's zell with an eye patch. I've played the game and they both act the same way.
God everytime i see this ending i cry. We've been thinking tidus is gone for good and yuna being heart broken and losing everything and in ff10 2 they make it a happy ending with the alternative ending.
Right, Tidue emerges, whistles, no one responds, then rolls over swims towards land and notices ragnarok flying from afar, coming in fast.. matter of seconds, its there and a few seconds later the beach is PACKED. A small island makes sense everyone sees the airship coming but for everyone on the island to be there already lmao.
This is one game I regret not playing. And sad part is i did not play because EVERYONE ELSE said it sucked. The more I loo at it, though, the more I become clear that I would have loved it!

I initially disliked FFX at release(well maybe just not on my top five list of FF games) but the remaster has bumped it up that list a lot.
I played FFX at the age of 5 in 2007 also never fully understanding as well. But it’s such a good game
Eh? The sphere grid is the same as my old ps2 copy. Normal or expert grid.
I was around 13 that time. I didn't play it, just watched my older cousin playing it on PS2. heard from cousin that it was hard because limited availability of equipment compared to previous FF like FF7 and FF8. I completed FF7 only while my cousin finished FF8. well, in the end, my friend and I just bought the gameplay VCDs of FFX. haha
36:47 imagine choosing “Its better this way”.
You go through all the effort for 100% and choose to get the incomplete ending anyway, ballsy move can’t lie
Shuyin and Lennes story really makes cry. When it comes to war, love doesn't survive often. If it does, the two involved are very lucky and should take the chance to live and treasure each other as long as they can.
That ending made me tear up a little. I ship them so hard.
Spoiler Alert: They split up
Well turning into a zombie does complicate things.
Peter Hudson We'll see. X-3 is slowly becoming an inevitability.
I still want to know who this other guy that she fell in love with is.
Peter Hudson that was lena's bf
Despite the game not being that great I think the perfect end is one of the best endings of Final Fantasy and media in general
Little known fact: if you’re only at 99% completion Yuna clips Tidus with the Gullwing as she lands and there’s an emotional death scene
LMAOOOO
They should have went all out with that on a robot chicken episode
And they live happily ever after, anything after the game is just crap that no one asked for and it doesn't count
channman201 everyone agrees with you. Literally everyone. It got so much shit when it was released in Japan.
Still makes me cry
IKR!!!
@ANTHONY lool he does! XD
I hope there is a better love story in the final fantasies to come a love that transcends life, death, war and heartache but for now
Tidas and yuna
Are the best love ever
play ff6 and watch rachel man
Dark Dragon Cecil and Rosa say hello
in fact, Cloud still virgin(lost Aeris forever)
Linoa and Squall rejects
Final fantasy 9 dagger and zidane are great too!
So many years since I played this but it still has a masssive place in my heart. Thank you for uploading this ❤❤❤
I remember soo much flack on this game when it was first announced, and the direction it was going.
@@ItsSVO Agreed, the whole direction of ffx-2, dresspheres and all is garbage, nothing improved from FFX.... Yet I can't help but to still play it...
@@everilliem3292played it and didn’t like it either compared to x this game is just gey and boring just feels like the game should’ve never been made
3:17 "It sucks." I honestly like the way Yuna delivered this line. Anyone agree? It's so out of character...and perfectly placed and said in some way.
yes I would say it sucks!!!!!
I think this game was trying to mold her out of character first with her image and choice of lifestyle to her demeanor. She's still cute nonetheless with a hint of bad ass.
Danny Simion Agreed. It was honestly fun playing this game and watching the cutscenes because she and Rikku were so dorky throughout this
Yuna knows it sucks
Yeah i get you. I lol'd at that part
I know people are divided on this game, but I love it. It tells the story of Yuna and the people of Spira after breaking free from Yevon's teachings - because of this, it has to feel different from FFX. And it gives us the happy ending that Yuna and Tidus both deserve.
GET A ROOM, YOU TWO!!
i dont think theres a problem yah?
tohopes
WHASSUP?
This line made me love wakka
tohopes shut it
Squenix ruined this lovely ending by expanding on it in mobius and books. As far as I'm concerned, the story ended here and everything after doesn't exist
YES! This is how it ends. That other stuff was a SINfully bad idea.
im just glad 2.5 novel was utterly trashed and bad reviews to kill it while it lasted and kept X-2 as the true ending of the series along with everything else with it.
Agreed, the fans and their own FFX 3 stories have done a much better job.
They did her the ULTIMATE solid bringing him to life for her
Lulu is best girl. Big tiddy goth gf > Yuna
This was the only final fantasy game I worked so hard to get an ending for.
Ironically...is my first final fantasy i reached 100% first...my ps2 damaged seriously the X before i reached Yu Yevon...actually im playing in steam...for reach that goal. my second and third i completed was xiii and xiii 2
Tidus is so handsome.
I think you meant Tidus is no Shuyin because Shuyin had a more mature aura about him.
If your into Aaron Carter Mkauley Caulkin Hansen tease.
Nikolai Frøyen ???
I love how they put more realistic muscular body structure to him in dissidia
it is not technically only been a few minutes for Titus since they defeated Sin ?
he would probably go wtf on the new ship, and yuna outfit, and Lulu's baby.
Titus? The watch brand from swiss?
I never saw the good ending.
Until today.
OHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY GAAAAAAAWWWWWWD!!!!! 🥺🥺😭😭🤩🤩 so many mixed emotions!!!
I love how Tidus ignores the fact that Yuna runs to his arms wearing thoses JPop clothes after all the time he was sleeping under water whitout seeing her...
I'm not sure saying "You know, you've changed!" can really be seen as ignoring anything.
Tidus: I can't wait to see my beautiful, chaste, lovely modest.... *see's the new Yuna*
Tidus: Ok, I must still be sleeping.
Uh, I think you meant; "Flame on!"
FTFY.
That FFX-2 Gunner official outfit of Yuna is similar to Jecht's appearance in FFX. Check the similarity, especially on the side cloth and chest tattoo.
Eh, I think reunion and infuatiation made him not really care. Ya know, cliché romance stuff.
Man, I wanna swim in that ocean
GaileeSims there are many oceans like that. try going to palawan, It's crystal clear.
Indonesia had many of those kind
Hawaii has clear beaches too.
been to many like this all over the world.. get your passport ready!
Visit Hawaii and Southeast Asia especially Bali ! The developer inspired from those places
Tidus: You know you've changed.
Yuna: Well, you missed a few things.
A "few" things...
Easy peasy for yuna, x-2 was a regular working week 🤣
I'm so glad she got back with meg Ryan
lmao
this XD
RIP Spoony :(
LOLLLLL
I was in high school when FFX came out and my hair was very short. I wanted to look like Meg Ryan, but every time I blow dried it I looked like Tidus. I'm glad someone else was able to make that connection.
a decade later i will still never have enough patience to get 100% on this game so god bless you and your entire bloodline for this gift
Same
Just finished this game for the first time after trying for years to get into the game and like it...
Very sweet.
Tidus: "That's not cherishing!"
Yuna: "BUT DID YOU DIE THO???"
The most amazing game I’ve played FFX and FFX2 thank you Yuna and Tidus
Thank You for making this. It is very awesome of you.
when wakka said "hey guys, get a room!' , i'll just imagine what happened next..
The feels are so strong in the first ten minutes. Yuna's speech about not having another choice, is so good.
FFX was about life
FFX-2 was about love
Man... This ending... This is everything!
I think I would like that too. Lol. The world can be tough alone. Can't it?
Nooj had a stupid outfit and haircut design, even by Final Fantasy standards.
c jji
he looked like sephiroth kinda
Cory Stupka no, Sep looks way cooler.
Looked like he was going to a met gala
And name.
It was at this moment you realized...
99% of Yuna's journey was completely useless in bring Tidus back.
I mean yeah but didn't we save the world from vegnagan
Well u had to 100% to get the ending so in reality all 100% of her journey was needed.
Final fantasy 10, the game where nobody but you knows the first characters name or the names of the aeons you own.
First time I had ever seen FFX was at a friend's house. He had named Tidus "Pornstar"
Cambrodia lmao
You know, i think be may actually disappear, basically, because at the end of it after she pushes him into the water, and looks up and at his hands and she is smiling at first then has a open mouth near shock look, then the camera pans out and you see her just standing there.. alone.. no water movement, no sight of him, nothing. So it makes me believe he disappeared slowly after that.
they will never top the first ffx....that one had me in tears
This game had better cinema graphics than some final fantasy games after this one ffX all time favorite
One of the best endings that I've witnessed in my entire gamerlife! Aaaaalways get so emotional about it; You just gotta love it!
The moment he realized that the airship is directly flying in his direction. I wonder if Yuna was yelling at the navigator to stop by?
And then Square decided some shitty fan fiction where they break up and Sin returns is canon. Yay Square.
That shit even has a game so for me, that isn't canon and i'm happy with it
Whatever you do, don't google the ffx2.5 novel
@@MoccaDeShibe I know. I'd rather read Silent Hill play novel than that crap.
43:24 - I find it funny how his hair dries up in mere seconds after emerging from the water.
laughs in kh 2 soras hair
yunas had about 8 years of rock climbing experience to prepare her self to fight vegna gun like WTF are those jumps xD
Shhh!
Huh I think you’re right, the scene lingers way too long on just her and no tidus in sight. Bizarre to go through that whole happy reunion to end it like this
Love this ending so much, thanks for uploading 😍
FFX broke my heart. I am so happy to know that they are together again :'), best couple :')
No matter how many years pass by, I always come back.
I love this game.
Don't understand all the hate that's it getting.
Had to come here after watching the FFX ending. I needed a smile today.
That "Cherish me and I'll cherish you"
Those words at that moment hit harder than any promises he could make ;___;
I loved this game as a kid, the true ending on the beach was really nice and still is but the rest of the game is such a cringefest now that I look back on it
The battle system was probably one of the best in any of the FF series though
I love every cringy moment lmao
Ffx2 was so cringey haha
I loved this ending though. Audiobook was kinda weird but hints at a ffx3
BROTHER, HIGHER
BROTHER, FASTER
Sweet home alabama
Its funny cuz yuna and brother are cousin's
Lmaooo just finished the game and thought that sounded wrong, lol.
I remember playing so much this game when I was little.
Played this years ago n Playstation 2. Loved it. Still do. The ending still makes me cry.
Or we could all just take a page from Seymour and - pretend we didn't see "FFX-2.5/Audiodrama" ...That's what I choose to do anyway!
Both audio drama and 2.5 never exist for me
Lulu looks like she's holding a turnip.
Most babies look like Turnips :p
@@cartoonking1895 most white babies
Hi,you army😊
his her son....Vidinu
That reminds me of a Season 1 episode of the show, ARCHER. 😝
I just realized ff10 starts with a story you play and ff10 2 ends telling a story you played
Oh, the many hours I've put into these FF games, especially this one...FF X and X-2 were my first entrance into the FF series. Even though I've played mostly all of them within the series, the X and X-2 were the most memorable.
This is the best most beautiful ending. I started crying tears watching it, full out tears, it's so beautiful. This should have been the ONLY ENDING!!
You know I can't be the only one that noticed this but why did they make zell from final fantasy 8 into an Al bhed on final fantasy 10-2? And don't tell me I was the only one that noticed. I'm not that smart that's zell with an eye patch. I've played the game and they both act the same way.
love hearing aurons voice in that telling her to keep going
God I hope they remake this game, How gorgeous would that game look the whole way looking with amazing graphics
God everytime i see this ending i cry. We've been thinking tidus is gone for good and yuna being heart broken and losing everything and in ff10 2 they make it a happy ending with the alternative ending.
thank you so much for sharing! =')
The ending leaves me with but ONE question unanswered after all these years.
How in the bloody hell do you sneak such a crowd unto a beach unnoticed?
When you’re only focused on one thing, the rest of the world stops existing.
Its fun and quirky I enjoyed Yuna breaking her shell
I loved the ffx 2 to game play the most. I like how the focus all the rpg class elements in just the 3 characters. This is the only ff game like it too
Not gonna lie this ending makes me tear up like a baby. Same with the FF9 ending..
same here. for once they gave the fans what they wanted even if it mean having to work your ass to get 100% for it.
