- Platypus is a horizontal scrolling shooter game created by Anthony Flack. The player flies an antiquated spacecraft (the last of the fictional F-27 Platypus fleet) and attempts to defend the peaceful country of Mungola from neighboring Colossatropolis, which has become so overcrowded that its inhabitants are taking over Mungola for space and resources. The game consists of four levels, with five areas per level and a strong boss enemy that must be defeated at the end of the fifth area. The player can collect power-ups that affect the type and firing rate of the ship's weapons, equip auxiliary cannons, or activate defensive shields.

Some obstacles/enemies that only appear on each specific levels, but not appear on other levels :
1. Level 1 : Electricity cable
2. Level 2 : Air mines with balloon
3. Level 3 : Boats and brown rocks
4. Level 4 : Lightning squids
That's just insane man, i came back to this game about a week ago and level 2 area 3 are just too much to handle, not only that, level 3 are HELL with all of that red spaceship, props to ya!

literally couldn't tell you such a game even existed until watching this video.
i dont remember it very vividly, but i for sure remember the way the carts took several stages of damage each, and the wheels blowing out, and some of the sound effects sound very familiar. i was 5 when this game came out, so any memory from that time that i can get back is a blessing.

There are actually some disadvantage of each power-ups compared to default gun :
1. Wide Shot : The damage from each bullet is reduced compared to default gun, so it is much worse than default gun against enemies with high health.
2. Autofire : The damage from each bullet is also reduced as well, although it has higher damage per bullet than wide shot. Spamming the default gun as fast as autofire can potentially deal more DPS than using autofire.
3. Sonic Pulse : This weapon has a limited range, can't attack from long range, and has much slower fire rate compared to default gun.
4. Rockets : In this weapon, we only shoot 1 bullet instead of 2 bullets, so this is actually slightly worse to deal with the saucers, kamikazes, and boomerang fish ships (I don't know the official name of the enemies).
5. Lightning : It doesn't leave behind any bullets. So, if we spamming the default gun and then move up and down, the bullets that still travelling forwards may be able to kill something. However, lightning can't do this.

Fun Fact : Level 3 boss at second phase won't shoot at you if you don't shoot at the boss at all. Also, it can escape by itself on second phase after waiting for long enough.

Tapi entah ini bug atau easter egg tersendiri. Kenapa ya boss lv 2 klo dimainkan 2 kali berturut-turut bosnya malah jadi infinite?
Jadi ceritanya Pas aku coba level 2 dan selesai, aku main tuh level 2 lagi. Nah pas lawan BOSS, BOSS nya malah infinite, ga habis habis badannya jir.
dah aku itung ada tuh ±112 badan gua hancurin. Dah ampe 2 jam mungkin lawan badan boss tetep nggak sampai kepala.
Dan itu ngga selesai², ngga muncul muncul kepala bosnya, akhirnya aku nyerah. Besoknya ngga mau main lagi

If we no pausing at all and got 100% on each area, which makes the evaluation part takes longer time, the music will sync very well, especially in level 2 when entering area 3 where the music ends.

@@Kurizto The level 4 boss is actually much worse because of how many yellow squids are, and also the homing missiles from this boss are one of the most dangerous things because you need move around to kill the homing missiles and you may get caught by the laser from yellow squids. Also, the lightning squids and green squids are appear. If you lose your weapon pods and power ups, you just need to hope to survive until these enemies escape by themeselves. After you managed to survive until the last two lightning squids, that would be easier to defeat the boss.
For some reason, this game puts so much effort on text change animation (look at the texts, now check the files, they're manually created in sequences for each possible combination, not just one to two, but one to any other numbers, so that would be quadratic increase, right?
Weapons Ranking :
#5. Sonic Pulse (Green Star) : This is the worst weapon. It has really low DPS, short range, can block the red bullets and white lasers but it doesn't really worth it. Even the weapon pods doesn't affect so much and it even worse than default gun.
#4. Wide Shot (Yellow Star) : It can be useful against a crowd of one-hit enemies, but it is weak against big enemies.
#3. Rockets (Red Star) : It has high DPS so it can be useful against bosses and big enemies, but this is not very good against a crowd of small enemies without weapon pods.
#2. Autofire (Blue Star) : It has really high fire rate and decent DPS make it good against a crowd of small enemies and also good against big enemies, but it has lower DPS than rockets.
#1. Lightning (Cyan Star) : The best weapon. It can deal extremely high DPS and can pierce the enemies.
Great, in my opinion :
Wide shot (yellow star) with fast click spamming would be in #2, and better than autofire (blue star)
@@Addie_ID_4578 The yellow bullets from wide shot is actually weaker than white bullets from default gun or autofire. It's like the power up from yellow star has an ability to spread but it cost some damage from each bullets.

@@Addie_ID_4578 About lightning (cyan star), I love how the development gave us a chance to maximize the potential of lightning with weapon pods in level 4 area 3 because the cyan stars only appear in level 4. In level 4 area 3, that is the easiest part because the games just give you free weapon pods and cyan stars, as long as we don't die in that area.
You can obtain suplimentary weapons (the ones they give you at boss fights) at area 1 round 1 by passing The enemies without shooting them or losing a life. Good luck!

No,I'm not the kind of speedrunner,I'm actually just record the boss battle only and use autoclicker to defeat it quickly.Anyway Thanks.
I honestly hate the 4th stage boss the most on Hard mode. Without using autoclicker like you did, there's no way to deal huge damage to the boss before those yellow octopus thing overwhelm you. The boss itself is also act as a tank for it's minion too and with that green octopus and 2 laser ships joining later, it's impossible to not lose a life. The only time I succeed in no-death hard mode run is when I stall the boss, killing the minion and to preserve my spin turret until I got a Laser gun.
Yeah,Autoclicker can make it easy and faster,without it maybe would impossible to do it with no death.

@@Addie_ID_4578 In hard mode, deathless during final boss might be possible, but getting 100% on primary targets and secondary craft is nearly impossible without spam fire. I have ever do deathless during final boss on easy and normal mode, but never on hard mode. Also, if we tried to get 100% on all areas, spam fire is 100% required because of level 2 area 3 and level 3 area 1 would be nearly impossible without spamming.
