There really is nothing better than unplugging from modern life and setting off on a trail adventure like this for the day. Trail running has been a real lifeline for me over the past couple of years, completely agree with you that its hugely beneficial for both physical and mental health. I agree with the other commenter that I'd love to know how you plan your days - too often I set off ill-prepared and under resourced and I'd probably have an even better time if I was aware of what preparations I should be making. Great vid, good luck on the 30th Sept!
I've walked the three peaks at least a dozen times and every time it's a slog, especially Ingleborough. My first time was the worst - I did it with a hangover from hell, no sleep and on a brutal hot day. Didn't think I'd make it! Enjoyed the video mate.
Cheers bud. That’s the third time I’ve done it. Twice in 2018 and one of those in just over 7 hours with a mate. My fitness has definitely deteriorated over the past couple of years 😅
Eddie brilliant new video unfortunately l suffer from c.o.p.d and can’t do these walks but l got great pleasure watching you complete the 3 peaks well done .l am really looking for to future. Videos Channel should be certain success.Well done👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Just a tip for future videos, from someone who is working on a RUclips Channel - I would have quite liked to have had a short feedback on how you were feeling the next day. Keep up the good work Eddie!
I’ve been forced to cancel the WHW Kev due to the awful weather this week. It’s too much with two dogs snd trying to film with wet kit every day. I’m going to do it in May now
Well done..you achieved your goal..done the walk many times..1st in 1978...but penygent pennine way end of day 1981..full pack ...really enjoyed your blog..cheers..Dave.
Brilliant video Eddy and good luck on the West Highland Way today 🎉👍👍👍⚫️⚪️ You have inspired me to get our Chihuahua Nigel out for a walk round the local park 🍻🤣🙏
Hope you had a nice bath when you got yem, Eddie. My days of romping oor the fells are behind me but still get in some walking around here in rural Ontario, lots of forest trails and of course around the farm. Such a pity kids today don't really get out and about, we spent time, usually all day, on Tynemouth Beach with no supervision other than our big family numbers. Never a thought of the internet, parents got to start getting out and about it's the ideal bonding experience and does you the world of good. Loved seeing the dog taking the gate in one leap.
@@Eddy-Hope Just turned 70 this year but still active around the village. Just spent the last week repairing bleachers for the upcoming fair and it knacked me back. Had a great mate, folk musician named Vin Garbutt, who used to ramble all over the place when he visited, he lived in Yorkshire and loved walking the hills, wonderful man.
Good on ya pal, I live just round the corner from the Yorkshire Three Peaks and I know all too well how tough they can be, looking to running them in the spring for the first time 🤞🏻
Nice to see you all out. I’ve watched a few 3 peaks videos with trail runners etc. Looks dope! I live among mountains so it’s neat to see the foot paths and the great efforts people make to maintain them. Bet the dogs slept well
Great video thanks I am in my 60s now and prefer to do these one at a time ir maybe 2 as all 3 are just that push too far . Anyway enjoyed your adventure in gods County 😉👏👍
Well done Eddy I love the Yorkshire Dales 💚. All the best for your next adventure 🏴 I few ice 🧊 baths & Youl be fit n ready to go again 💪 Look forward to the next one pal 🙏
Great video Eddy, and a perfect companion to Tyneside Life. I miss the openness of hikes in the UK, here in Vermont (USA) mountain hikes tend to be encompassed by trees until you get above the tree line. Mind, the views are then spectacular! Looking forward to seeing seeing more of your nostalgic videos.
Beautiful scenery and great content as always. The look on your face in the last few minutes took me back - a mixture of elation, accomplishment and 'what the hell was I thinking' (jk). I did a bit of walking when I lived in Switzerland and France, as well as along Hadrian's Wall and around Keswick when I was a kid. Never done any wild camping so I'm especially interested in hearing more about that. Looking forward to seeing more of this, learning something and just maybe, just maybe, it will result in getting my ass out of this office chair!
Gotta love the Yorkshire dales! Went there on my holidays ,was awesome, and really relaxing. That's one of the things about going away ,just relaxing and peaceful. Glad you had a good time
All the best for the new channel and the WHW Eddy mate. Right up my street and well as NUFC. Plenty of videos up for that trail. Abbie Barnes’ is quite good.
That was tremendous! I bet your dogs were exhausted after that trek. I'm hoping my teenage son (the one I mentioned on your other channel) will accompany me on similar challenges at some point. I can't wait for your West Highland challenge as we visit Scotland every year.
Great video Eddy. The Yorkshire 3 Peaks is on my list of walks to do. Good to hear also you are doing the West Highland Way. This is a great walk I did it last year. I did the Ullswater Way as a bit of a short practice run to get used to long distance over rough terrain with a heavy backpack. It’s a lot like the Loch Lomond section in many ways so was a good workout.
Good luck with this new channel Eddie! I’ve always been put off going for walks like that in the past because I’ve never been introduced to it and to be honest didn’t even know you could do walks like that in the countryside. My main fear would be if I got lost or didn’t know where to go, so your channel is going to be a real eye opener for me. Keep it up buddy 👌🤜🏻
The thumbnail Eddy man hahaha. I did 3 peeks about 10 years ago for a mates birthday, went a bit overzealous on the broon the night before and spewed several times on the way
Great video! It may have taken an hour or so to get all of the footage, but it was worthwhile in my opinion 😄 Can't wait to see where you'll get to on this channel.

I always find the uplands really depressing tbh, just miles and miles of grass and sheep a barren green desert. It amazes me how these places are classified as national parks when in any other country they would be called ranches. I prefer walking in forest/woodlands where you are surrounded by wildlife and trees in every direction.
Love this pal. Did it for the first time on Friday and we did exactly same route as you so it’s nice to relive it!
