I have a cat that will only drink fresh clean water, a cat that will only drink dirty water, and a cat that likes to dip his whole foot into fresh water before getting offended by the water 🤦🏽♂️
They need to be cleaned every week or bacteria will thrive in the pump, tubes etc. Most people dont bother and just refill the water. It ends up being worst and more dangerous for the cat. Especially considering they're mostly plastic and porous.

There is a horrifying video of a bear attacking a cub and you can tell the bear starts eating it alive because of the humanistic screams going on for over a minute before the video cuts off. There was also a Russian woman who was able to give her mother a play-by-play as she was being eaten alive by a bear over hours until she eventually died from blood loss and shock. I would so much rather pick a lion or something that would be more likely to kill me before eating me than a bear. I wouldn't wish a bear attack on my worst enemy.

Those camps are notorious for not providing proper medical aid, failing to accurately assess emergencies, socially isolating the children from even each other, and a whole list of other neglectful and abusive conduct. When you're camping, you prepare for what you'll need, these camps don't allow you to do that. You can leave when you're just camping on your own, these literal children can't even speak without getting yelled at(let alone ask to go home). Its not survival training, its an actual life threatening situation. Its forces you into the worst conditions and expects you to survive independently(which humans aren't made to do, we're communal animals). Kids have died and many, many more have gotten life long/lif altering injuries(including untreated infections that led to amputation), due to these "camps". I hope that, if Will and Caroline ever have a child, she won't let him send that child to one of these camps.

lmao that wilderness survival thing was similar to something i was forced to do when i was 17. it was a therapeutic wilderness program where i was out in the woods for around 130 days. parents would send their troubled youth or problematic youth to these things and ill be honest, i think it actually did help me, a little bit immediately after, but lately its helped me for sure. it was crazy, everything you had was on your back: your clothes, sleeping bag, food, utensils, and a bunch of group shit. we didnt even have tents, we used a frames where we set up a tarp and put a little mat and our sleeping bag under it. pretty cool experience, it sucked but im glad i did it. what a wild time

It's so often people don't realize the high level of training you could have for your dog so that you can walk on or off leash with them through fields or cities and never have to worry about what they're going to do because their focus is on you and they won't act without permission.
My cat likely has mild dementia (she's 18) and she'll meow repeatedly and loudly for her dinner after she's already been fed. I have to go and point at the food for her. 5 minutes later she'll start meowing again so I have to come and point at her food some more. Repeat until she eats her dinner. She's got kidney issues and I'm spending a fair bit on her prescription diet now too, but I'd pay more to keep her well. So I respect Austin's ridiculously wasteful temporary solution to his cat needing running water, even if he should definitely just get his cat a fountain lol.

43:45 i personally had bad experiences with the pet fountains, they get dirty very fast. My cat died from a bacterial infection from one.
