About the Tikkie story: A famous Dutch sying is "wie het kleine niet eert is het grote niet weert" (the one who doesn't honour the small (payements), isn't worth (doesn't deserve) the big (payments)).

This is really interesting to me. I'm Australian and only speak English. I'm guessing your video was suggested to me because I watch a lot of "culture shock" videos by people living in England or America.
I'm quite interested in visiting continental Europe (I know that's a very UK term) but feel a bit intimidated by all the languages. It sounds like it won't be as hard as I thought.

Only in France it will be a bit more difficult. 😊

      Hi there!
You definitely shouldn't feel intimidated. In most European countries people speak at lest a little bit English, and in some like the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark etc they speak English very well. And indeed. France has a little funny reputation of not liking speaking anything else than French buuuut the tourism is still booming there, so you will be just fine!
I hope you enjoy the travels and exploring the cultures in Europe ;)

If a guy pays your bill, he wants something in return. 🤔

I am sorry but I disagree and I feel like it's a huge misconception. I am not great in relationships, sure, but I had wonderful dates with men who paid for the first dates and didn't give me the feeling like they expected anything and were super respectful. Funny enough I had two dates where guys split the bill, and one guy actually had expectations after lolllll
so I guess what I am trying to say, is that it differs per person I suppose.
