@@davi.brasil the c2 is very good for hp scaling characters and just stacking off-field damage, and the team wide 2 energy per charge attacks crit can drop er requirements by like 30. Alongside weapon options like nahida signature, ttds and wandering evenstar. So decent support options for an on-fielder.
I unironically and wholeheartedly believe that she will become much stronger. Like it's very clear that we will get at least two Pyro units in Natlan and that will skyrocket her usability
while she may be an upgrade to him there will almost certainly be teams where Bennett is best in slot on her team, there's almost no way Bennett/Ling won't still be synergistic.
She doesn't really look like someone from the Academia. People feel like that because her colouring is green-black with some muted gold decoration ( but the patterns are not from Sumeru). The silhouette of the dress resembles an end of 19th /beginning of 20th century style in many ways. The skirt shape, the use of lace and thrill, the flat hat, bows as decoratio allaround.... Classic. She has flower shaped decoration items because of perfume making and her design I think is dark because well... so is Navia's, Chloride's, etc... and green because she is dendron (Navia is ochre, Furina blue, Clorinde is purple..) Sumeru designs have lots of loud bling, tassels and lots of colours (kaveh has red and green, collei has green and orange, alhaitham has green and blue, Tighnari has all the colours on earth... 😅 Emily has dine detailed lace and small decoration details with lots of bows. She has flower motifs for obvious reasons(do her story quest). I like it. I have issue with her hair.it feels weird with the romantic dress

I think she's showing pretty well for a character who has the unenviable position of being up against the Dendro Archon AND the Pyro Archon for off-field elemental application.

I feel like because natlan is coming a lot of people are under valuing her, she’s definitely built for future content and teams but she’s already really strong. It’s like right now she’s an S tier character but has the potential to be SS with natlan. I think her kit is really interesting and I’m excited to try some fun off meta things with her and anyone that can make my arlecchino teams shine is a must pull
I lowkey think people are way overvalueing Natlan characters, Kinich and mualani so far don't even seem to be that much better than the midpack of Fontaine. People hyping Pyro archon up which I get, but it is really just hype and no substance. We still have 0 clue about the future.

@@tetraavalon3664I mean, so is Xiangling, Yae Miko, Yelan, and even chiori; granted that Xiangling is also used for pyro application due to her 0 ICd and Yelan has a ramp-up dmg bonus, although not particularly useful in hyperbloom as most dmg is from hyperblooms, thus her utility remains in being the hydro element. Yet Emilie is basically the modern Xiangling of burning teams. By modern, i mean with standard protocol of no snapshot, standard ICD. BUT she does deal quite a lot of damage, and with more range than Xiangling to boot, with quadratic scaling on tight packs of enemies. Emilie's presence makes burning teams more of an optimal approach but still suffers with a solid dependence on XL for solid pyro application, while there are other roundabout ways with using Dehya as deepwood holder and then Kazuha burst or other anemo characters with elemental absorption so Sucrose burst or Lynette burst, yet Kazuha has advantage of more potent CC.
Speaking about xiangling/emilie: "but do you really want to replace her with a limited 5 star that is a slight upgrade in single target and a slight downgrade in aoe and overall quality of life upgrade that she'll probably get better in the future but right now that's just what she is" YES! YES! A trillion times yes! I hate having to battery xiangling. I hate it with a passion. Oh, you continued "I don't know if that's really worth it." Oh, well let me settle it for you, it is. Is she a must-pull? Heck no. But she's a character who reminded me a ton of fischl. Obviously not as universal or anything but the playstyle just felt similar but even easier. If someone cares at all or will ever play a team that can use her is 100% up to them. But if you like any of those things she's a pretty decent pull even if nothing pans out in Natlan or if there are such OP units released that she wouldn't be able to find a slot on the team of the pyro archon. I tend to fill the chances are slim to none but to each their own on risk assessment.
Emily ain’t a small downgrade in aoe she is massive downgrade. Along with that in single target most of the time xiangling will do more damage due to double hits. She’s a great character and idk why ppl compare her to xiangling because while she is worse that is still amazing. Still don’t pull until she gets better or else you might have her, but not pyro archon or someone else that will actually make her good.

Pyro dps want to vape (except Arlecchino, Lyney). I'd rather play burgeon Yanfei. If she replaces Nahida it's still a side grade. So far only Thoma with Emilie would be another "new" duo instead of Bennet, simply because what's our Pyro options?? Xiangling and Bennet. I'm not playing Xinyan. Is she worth 90/180 pulls for that? I'd rather pull natlan characters.

Not a jab at Jello here, this is just what i have seen around a lot along with people calling her "useless" or a "sidegrade at best" ofc Why am i not surprised that the first thing people did was slap bennett and XL with her... It's exactly as TGS said..."those people just lack imagination" Neither of them are necessary Emilie doesn't snapshot which means that unless you play her on field with C6 bennett, he doesn't really do much for her, even if you burst you have to stay on Emilie for her to benefit from the buff fully So no, he is by no means mandatory for her As for XL, she is terrible without bennett, big energy issues and a massive dmg loss Dehya works perfectly with Emilie for keeping the buring going, give her Deepwood so that Emilie can use Reverie and she is one of, if not her best partner And you still have 2 slots open Can use Furina/Jean Can use someone like Thoma or Yanfei for shields and buffs and then Arlecchino or Yoimiya on the field Can even use Navia/Chiori for more aggresive team Can use Clorinde and Fischl Can use Ganyu/Wrio/Rosa and a flex for burn melt Can even use another pyro like Thoma and then Neuvillette cus even if he washes the pyro aura, it gets reapplied and one tick of burn is enough to keep Emilie's Case leveled up There's so many options for Emilie, not even taking into account all the future releases, yet people always default to bennett/XL... Will be funny to see her turn into another Kazuha, Yelan, Kuki and the inevitable "when Emilie rerun" Or maybe not, maybe she will just stay a really damn strong sub dps with amazing dendro application, oh that sounds teeerrible..

As someone who prefers dmc to nahida Émelie is the dendro character I’ve wanted for a while, trading some aoe and buffing from sapwood for better damage and not needing to worry about having the lamp explode is very convenient.
I am a future Kinich wanter and the only reason I'm not pulling her is because she isn't a buffer.. if she's still a staple on his teams when she reruns I might end up pulling (I just like to see my funny blorbos do big funny number)
Account is already so stacked that any interesting new interaction is a worthy pull for me, when she eventually gets her future BiS usage team will gladly use her for it
I've been using her on a Yoimiya/Emilie/Furina/Siegewinne team and I've really been enjoying it! It's not my highest damage team by any means, but it works and its fun!
risked a 5050 on her and won so yeah she is now neatly slotted into my dehya furina charlotte team,didnt expect her to work that well in it,but color me suprised that she manages to upkeep the burning with just dehya and that against both charlotte and furina.(esp when i use dehyas burst which is worthwhile in this) and even if not if the burning goes out that means i get burgeons on my hybrid dehya who has 483 em on top dps stats. emilie isnt fully leveled yet so my abyss testing is still on hold but the concept i did already test plenty in the overworld. pretty good upgrade vs my c6 collei who i mostly used before in this,and def. competes with nahida in raw dmg due to no electro.
My problem with this character and the main reason I didn’t pull is that she doesn’t actually really buff burning at all. Which might have actually given her some future proofing. Instead her personal damage is buffed by burning. So I don’t even know how she would have any future use with those teams. Kinda a bummer, her kit could have been so much more.
Yup. And that’s one of the issues. Nahida is both a better burning support and more universal off field dps. Emilie is outclassed in everything. Yae has a similar problem being outclassed by fischl as a support and an off field dps in 90% of teams. Hopefully they’ll buff burning in some way. But the more likely scenario is they invent a new mechanic that is uninteresting (like the bond of life mechanic) and try to buff all the Natlan characters with that instead so that older characters don’t get buffed in any way.
Could I ask how buffing burning as a reaction is better than what she currently has? It literally works the same way, if burning is active then she'll contribute more damage to the team. Am I missing something?
@I.disagree Buffing burning would give her some longevity in the meta and give her something unique to her. As it stands now, she is just an off-field DPS that is very reliant on her signature weapon and burning to do good damage. Being an off-field dps with no buffing capabilities, with a reliance on a very “meh” reaction means that she will be decent in burning comps and far from stellar in any other teams. Which also hurts her flexibility and use outside of burning teams. The fact that she relies on burning to do decent damage really hurts her viability because it’s just a bad reaction.
The team that I was most interested in for Emilie is using her as the dendro in Thundering Furry Razor. That team very briefly will make burning happen with c6 Bennett before Razor's wolf wipes the burning, but I wasn't sure if that was enough time to spawn a scent to upgrade Emilie's skill. But man... I really wish she could benefit from Bennett's burst while off-field (RIP snapshot...)
I agree with most of this but i personally like the wriothesley emilie teams, freeing up furina for me ESPECIALLY in this abyss where she goes nuts on the second side really helped and even gives me more rotation flexibility since i dont have to worry about healing for furinas buffs, also with emilie instead of furina you can consistently get melts on wriothesley unlike furina who can steal some of his melts, with emilie still doing maximum damage as all she needs is for burning to happen which is incredibly easy in this comp
I'm surprised you seemingly didn't try her with Dehya at all. For example, that Neuvillette team could have used Dehya instead of Xiangling to trigger the burning while acting as a pseudo-shielder instead of using Zhongli for that. That would have freed up a team slot for Furina like you wanted. Anyway I largely agree with this. She's fine, but will get better if the pyro archon is a Xiangling replacement.
I could also see Dehya replacing Xiangling on the burnmelt team. Both Ganyu and Wriothesley benefit from interruption resistance and would be comfier with any degree of shielding; Ganyu would get off more consistent charged shots, and Wriothesley is less likely to either be interrupted or drop below 50% HP. Maybe I'm wrong or hitting the copium a little hard, but that's where my mind went.

I run Dehya, Nahida, Emilie, and Kuki. Nice damage from off fielders with low field time requirements. Dehya is unkillable. She can also wear burning to boost her melee, hunters, or glow...
As someone who has played this game since launch and still doesn't own a single 5* polearm. I have been finding success with "Missive Windspear", so if you played the event back then I think that would be her BIS f2p option.
Fav is generally better, first of all even in double dendro she still needs 140-150 unless you use nahida.(she has the best er generation for a sensor unit). From leaks Munich uses her and he want his burst so while fav is 15% worse in damage according to tgs the er for the entire team makes it worth it.

It has just as much base atk, up to 12% skill dmg bonus, and the same energy refund as R1 Lumidouce Elegy, so it's guaranteed energy back rather than needing to trigger the passive through RNG and being on field to catch particles, which may interfere when you have a dedicated on fielder. fav would probably be her f2p BiS as her being a driver in the Furina forward vape twam with XL and Bennett.
I wouldnt recommend using Kitain. To proc its passive u need to use elemental skill and if u do that u reset ur lamp to lvl 0. U want to maintain the uptime of her lamp through hee burst, so basicaly u put lamp once with a skill and then forget about her elemental skill for the lest of the battle @@flamezforthegamez1056
I really wish Emilie's A4 passive gave us some type of def shred or res shred against burning enemies inside her lantern AOE. I would have pulled her if she wasn't just a damage dealer. I already have lots of those.

She's just an off-field dps for burningcentric teams without even being a pioneer for burning teams. I think something still has to be said for Emilie and I feel this should put her above chiori I am talking about her sub dps damage, the fact that her raw unbuffed dendro damage is competing with or is even higher than the damage of the likes of a C6 Xiangling that has 15 percent res shred and 15% pyro dmg bonus for her constellation, free 1100+ atk from Bennet, 30 res shred and about roughly 40ish% dmg bonus from kazuha in mono pyro teams or furina who has access to crazy buffs from her fan fare stacks or even fischl in aggravate with all the res shred and dmg bonus, should be taken into consideration Before release she was rumored to be the sub dps with the highest off field dmg in the game and now that she is released she didn’t disappoint, her raw unbuffed dendro dmg is crazy, the only team where a sub dps beats her is in international or Xiangling vape, and at that point you are comparing reaction dmg to raw damage that just goes to show how much dmg she deals when built properly And yes, she is the sub dps with the highest raw dmg in the game This alone should put her above chiori on any tierlist cus her dmg profile is even higher than that of chiori
i pulled for her, i like her as a character and im always down for easy off field DPS's. And lets be real, they are absolutely going to do something with burning and the talking stick in Natlan, we all know its coming.
Her burst is actually super important for her kit. It allows you to keep the level 2 lumidouce case indefinitely. If you let the level 2 case expire or just recast the skill before it expires it summons a level 1 case again. This drastically lowers her DPS since you need to waste time for it to build back up to level 2. If you use her burst BEFORE the existing level 2 case expires it will revert back to a level 2 case after the level 3 duration expires from the burst. If you just use her burst with no case on field, or a level 1 case, it will revert back to level 1 after the burst. Such an important key feature about her kit. Level 2 has so much more DPS behind it. She should definitely have enough ER to burst every rotation, somewhere between 110% - 140% depending on the team comp and weapon choice.
Me- hmmm she’s an off fielder who at worst is a sidegrade with great teams but she wants burning, kinich wants burning, there’s sets coming that buff people involved in reactions, a specific burning set, and we’re going to the pyro nation… obviously she’s gunna be insane in like 2-3 months. I found the wrio melt team to be so perfect. i get to melt the exact hits i want and furina is no longer stealing melts with her hydro amp. also in this current abyss furina is much better on 2nd side so running burnmelt on side 1 without her worked wonders.
I pulled on her- partly cause I think she's really pretty and her character and voice is so soothing. Other part is that I love Dendro teams and I think she has potential to switch up my gameplay. And luckily I got her weapon pretty early, so I can fully optimize her. Still building her (at Lv 70, missing a good Sands piece, Weapon needs to be upgraded) but I am genuinely looking forward to experimenting.
C’mon….. did you forget about Yanfei for those who don’t have 5-star pyros or electros or don’t care about META?? How can Yanfei and Emilie not already have the best of synergies?? I don’t have C4 Yanfei but I’m pretty darn sure her shield will just make Burning even more survivable and uptime just as good if not better than the 5-stars. Would at the very least elevate Yanfei beyond a Chevreuse overload DPS. So sad I didn’t get to see this pairing tested so that you can prove me either right or wrong.
I think because it isn't really worth testing. Mono Pyro is a pretty old team archtype and Emilie doesn't change much. You trade AoE damage and small Pyro buffing with a strong ST character. And Yanfei was a okay option in Mono Pyro before that. And the shield is nice but in my runs i didn't feel the need of that. While Burning does damage to yourself so does Furina and rhe Furina Vape teams didn't need a shielder either. And compared to most 5* carries she is just a damage downgrade. Tldr Yanfei is just another Pyro on fielder for that team that just deals damage. Not a lot to talk about. She is Klee with less damage, more range and a shield with C4 that isn't really improtant.
@@joe_simon Thanks for your input but we’re all well aware that Yanfei is not a 5-star and that she’s not META. I’d have liked to have at least heard Yanfei mentioned in his segment on the Mono-pyro teammates which Yanfei certainly should be an option even if she’t not one of the best ones. If a fellow Liyue pyro 4-star like Xiangling is mentioned then why did Yanfei not get some time? Sure a shield may not be necessary but THAT’S WHAT I’M HERE TO FIND OUT. (Also Furina stops damaging the team at half HP, so it’s not a fair comparison)
@@ZAPanda19 The reason why Xiangling is mentioned is because pre Emilie she was in the majority of the Mono Pyro teams as she is the only strong off field Pyro character and Emilie had the Potential to replace her. That's it. Xiangling is the only one with a specific and doesn't have a good alternative: Off field Pyro damage dealer (and also Burning enabler at the same time). Yanfei is just another Pyro on fiedler on a long list in the end. That's it. Nothing more. Adding her won't add anything. She doesn't add anything. You could add Xinyan too and it wouldn't change anything except the damage getting lower. And this is a Meta channel. Why are you wondering that this viddo is mostly about Meta stuff?

He tests several teams and decides what’s good and what’s not based not just on damage but comfort as well as other factors like ease-of-play, and I’d have been happy to hear he tested Yanfei even if it didn’t perform as well as the 5-stars (I KNOW he ranked her Tier-2). I would be happy to hear him AGREE with you that this pairing adds nothing and is just an OKAY or maybe even a low damage but COMFORTABLE team. The point is I don’t have Emilie, I don’t have a Limited 5-star Pyro DPS, I DON’T like to play Xiangling because THAT’S WHAT EVERYBODY DOES, and I’m interested in this pairing, and maybe he could have helped me decide if I wanted to try for Emilie, but not if he hasn’t tested it.
@@ZAPanda19 Because there isn't much to test. Her shields is nice but not needed because Bennett and Burning Res. It isn't her best team but as all Mono Pyro teams it's still fine. She has no special synergy nor anti synergy. She just deals her damage. What is there to test? I can tell you without testing that this team works and is fine. Not really better than Chevy or Vape teams for Yanfei (especially Vape because she can abuse her high CA scalings well) but still solid because her previous Mono Pyro team was fine too and Emilie is a ST upgrade but Overall AoE downgrade to Xiangling.
Disappointed that she doesn't buff burning for all characters, instead relies on it for her damage. Really wanted to add a character to buff my Dehya in a new way.
I use both Dehya and Emilie as a dual sub dps combo with a flex sustain/support and a dps character and I've been successful in clearing the abyss comfortably. 🙂
I do like Xiangling and Bennett as characters and units, but it's always been a pet peeve of mine that so many teams rely on either (or both) of those units. So I definitely welcome Emilie, even if she isn't a crazy improvement over them. I love variety in my teams and I love her design so obviously I had to pull for her.
Yeah I wanna say this too, as My Friend @d.ritzer say's : Every Character before any Region release , proves to be #Broken & META Ex: Kazuha, Yelan , Baizhu and Now Emilie.... And i don't know why, but My Instinct and My Testing say's She Shine Far More than all these characters....because as time passes, we got stronger character's.
yeah this is exactly what's goign to happen. Unless people think Hoyo forgot about some undertulized pyro reactions like melt/burning comps, her value is going to increase when the pyro archon arrives.
I pulled emilie, and i enjoy her design. My build rn is 80.0cr, 223.7cd, 140.8er Atk%,dendro,crit rate. I unfortunately didn't get the weapon, but i did get the aqua, so that's still a win.
14:20 you don't have to run a shielder in most situations. I've been playing him mobile, he's one of the easiest characters to play. Surely you can atleast focus on one thing that is dodging
Her burst is important imo. She should only E once and then Q all the way, refreshing the E everytime she Qs. You don't E again as then she loses her damage stacks.
She's actually very strong right now and can work pretty good with dozens of team comps, and she will even be broken when Natlan and pyro characters gets released.
From my testing she’s been a sidegrade in reverse melt teams compared to Furina (Emilie on Deathmatch vs Furina on the pipe). It may be disappointing that it’s not an improvement but imo being able to compete with the best archon/perhaps the best character in the game is impressive. And that’s before any of the Natlan supports come out. Freeing up Furina for another team is really valuable to me since almost everyone wants her. That’s how I rationalized pulling Emilie and so far no regrets at all
She feels like the type of character not to rerun for more than a year so I thought it'd be better to secure her now than later. Plus, even though she's niche for now, I'm hungry for an off-field dendro dps besides nahida
I knew Emilie would probably become good with the release of natlan so I didn’t feel bad pulling for her but honestly the main reason I did is because I just really like her voice 😅
another thing to consider is the deepwood set, it's actually just around 1% worse than the burning set if there's no other 4pc deepwood holder in the team. (deepwood set depending if the enemy has higher or lower dendro res, might also perform better or worse respectively) For "future" potential, Emilie rn doesn't have a dedicated on-field Dendro dps who synergizes with burning. it's more likely Emilie will be the 4pc deepwood holder for that specific burning Dendro DPS. It's something completely missed in this video (only addressed in the comments) as the res shred is basically the 4pc vv equivalent for dendro if ever an on-field burning DPS were to release in the future...

So on my alt account, I main Lyney and I was surprisingly high in pity on both weapon and character banners (RIP Xiphos Moonlight never coming home…). I let the weapon banner decide my fate for which character to pull and got Emilie’s. So I ended up pulling and winning her too! This ends up working out well for me because the downside of using Xiangling is that she’s very restrictive to melee range which is not ideal for Lyney. Great for Arlecchino tho, but Lyney appreciates an off-fielder that has range. I’m overall pretty happy with how this worked out!
As far as Emilie vs Xiangling goes, I think people tend to overlook one big advantage Emilie has over Xiangling, and that's reach. Xiangling is tied to the area around the character. That's better than Circle Impact, but still means you want to run a grouper or else you'll spend a bunch of time running around. Emilie just reaches out and touches, and things die and has no downtime on her damage dealing. This lets you focus on the higher hp enemies, while the turret unit(s) take the trash. Both of my main Abyss teams utilize this, with one pairing Emilie (previously Fischl) and Nahida, while the other combines Chiori with Yae. It's a bit different way to build teams than the norm, where people focus entirely on beating up what is next to the active character. That said, the DPS of these turret types does tend to feel a bit low without vertical investment. Beyond that, I think she's one of the bigger pay to win characters we've had in quite a long while. Her weapon is a big DPS increase and, well, wishing on the weapon banner sucks, and right before a new area... Likewise, her first two cons greatly increase her damage.
I don't know how, but my Emilie doing more damage with Favonius, than yours with Jade Spear, and with Calamity it's like twice higher. Either you artifacts are very bad, or you don't have deepwood on anyone in team. And, as often, bad takes-she definitely not easy skip, cause even now, she is great sub dps for a lot of teams, and for those,who gonna pull for Kinich, she will be best teammate.
Excuse me? Dehya's fine. She's a staple companion for any of the Fontaine cast. She works amazing with Emilie if you actually put them together, which frees up a solid duo slot for anything else. The only people who say she's bad are those that don't use her or expect her to do Arlecchino damage for no reason. She does her job solidly. Plus, Yae and Kokomi are part of that initially slept on list too.
I really want her, easily one of my favorite designs, but I can't justify it after just using half my stash finally getting Yelan. Maybe she'll have some better teams on her rerun...
I feel like that sometimes concentrators miss crucial things when reviewing characters without her weapon, Emily is 100% skip The damage with her weapon is absolutely incredible without her weapon. She is essentially a four star character.
I mean, you mentioned if it's worth it as a xiangling replacement, but that was always Yelan's case, no? Yelan is a "better Xingqiu, but that works better with Xingqiu", while Emilie is a "better Xiangling that works better with Xiangling". Personally, I think if Yelan is worth it as a replacement, then Emilie should also be. Having Hydro aura or Pyro aura on enemies is really strong overall, I'd say. But anyways, I think my main problem with Emilie is how weird she feels with her "skill focused kit" but that her most optimal play is to never press the skill button (only using burst). And she's an off-field that has energy issues as well, so she feels... weird, at the end of the day.
I pulled Emilie for 2 reasons 1. I already had her artifact set for farming arlecchino 2. My account is really tall and can clear abyss in 40 sec max per chamber so I guess I have to focus on IT
I purely got her because I like her style/look. I also have wanted to build a burning team but didn't like enough of the fire characters. I'm hoping natlan will bring in some more options👍
Also, consider that with the nation of pyro coming up, we also will get new pyro Enemies. I know that hydro characters are broken but you never know how hoyo could balance enemies so they are not as easy to kill like others pyro enemies.
I wonder how Arlecchino, nahida, Emilie, Bennett would do? Nahida would make the burn damage much higher right? I’m very burn-curious lol. I’ve heard burning is a weak reaction but if you’re doing 1k+ burn ticks multiple times per second, is it really that weak? I honestly don’t know which is why I’m asking.
@@hazeysgardenThe idea is to replace Zhongli with a more offensive unit since you don't need the interruption resistance anymore. Another nice element is it lets you avoid losing the third stack of his hydro reaction passive if you struggle to get a third hydro reaction to proc after burning sets in. I don't have C1, so I can't say with any experience how the team performs compared to alternatives. I think at worst it will be a good option though.
Accidentally pulled her on ZERO PITY. I even used a single pull😭😭 i was absolutely tweaking when i got her since i had just won my yelan 50/50 (ive been saving for her since her last rerun which i lost the 50/50)

i think this banner will make them plenty of money. they've got one character (yelan) for people who want to pull for meta and another character that just gives a fun new playstyle on teams they might have been bored of (emilie). those people probably have been using yelan since many patches ago so they have the primos to spare for a new character

@@stargazing209 Emilie + Nahida + Any good Pyro application is already giga nuts. They only need to print more pyro support and BOOM. Emilie is even better, because Nahida is all the Dendro support we ever need.
A good thing about being on the 2nd half is that we'll get the preview for Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina kits, and see if any of them can synergize with Emilie while her banner is still up. Of course, in-game testing is still key, so I'd still recommend for people to wait for her rerun so the Natlan meta can have time to develop.
As much as I think she’s quite a good damage dealer now and look forward to her potential with more offensive off field pyro options in the future, the thing that most made me want emilie for my arleccino is just that arle is my fave dps to play and I just don’t want to keep burning quickly in the overworld - the amount of collective time I waste on ley lines waiting for the fire to stop before picking up drops and opening the flower soon adds up. It’s not loads but it’s enough to want the quality of life. And I just love when rarely used reactions and mechanics are the core of a kit. Plus I now want chiori to complete the set of Chevreuse’s vigilante craftsmen, trading by day, pow-powing wrongdoers by night. Chev would really like Batma- I mean Diluc.
I've been playing her with Furina - Hu Tao - Xianyun. CA jump cancel into plunge with Hu Tao. Gives swirl, good damage from Hu Tao (with burgeons and vapes as well), and just enough pyro and dendro to keep just enough burning in single target. Haven't done enough testing for A4 passive buff though. That team has energy issues when single target, and is very squishy... Dangerous, but for someone who typically plays unshielded Hu Tao, quite fun when you survive. I've been too busy to try out other teams to any extent. Dabbled a little with overload in various combinations but not enough to make any determinations. I also only play female characters on my main account, so no Bennett, Zhongli, Kazuha, etc.
It’s so funny how Genshin somehow evens out perfectly. Last time I pulled on Yelen I had insane luck and got three copies in less than 7 ten pulls so I decided to save up for her next time and try to have one c6 character. But then this wish period came out and I lost three 50/50’s in a row and I’m out of extra money and Primos. C4 is still insanely good though so it wasn’t all bad.
Pretty obvious that mister Jelo does not realise the value of Emilie and will create another Kauzha, Kuki, Shenhe incident together with the other content creators.
I doubt that will happen, personally. She is a dps with team building restrictions, rather than a support who opens up options. Now I do not think she is bad. I quite like mine. But the nature of her kit, plus the potential of a straight up good pyro off field 5 star in Natlan...
@@Axterix13She's just a Dendro Yae. Solid dps, made with aggravate in mind. People commonly slept on her initally and took a while for her power to shine. Emilie is going to be the same way. Especially when burning is such an interesting concept they can mess around with, and we already have multiple team comps possible with it. It's essentially all the same compounding reaction bonuses as electrocharged, but without hydro. It's just people need to be willing to look beyond Bennett+Xiangling long term.

@@davi.brasil the c2 is very good for hp scaling characters and just stacking off-field damage, and the team wide 2 energy per charge attacks crit can drop er requirements by like 30. Alongside weapon options like nahida signature, ttds and wandering evenstar. So decent support options for an on-fielder.

She spent most her childhood in Sumeru after her parents moved there
She doesn't really look like someone from the Academia. People feel like that because her colouring is green-black with some muted gold decoration ( but the patterns are not from Sumeru).
The silhouette of the dress resembles an end of 19th /beginning of 20th century style in many ways. The skirt shape, the use of lace and thrill, the flat hat, bows as decoratio allaround.... Classic. She has flower shaped decoration items because of perfume making and her design I think is dark because well... so is Navia's, Chloride's, etc... and green because she is dendron (Navia is ochre, Furina blue, Clorinde is purple..)
Sumeru designs have lots of loud bling, tassels and lots of colours (kaveh has red and green, collei has green and orange, alhaitham has green and blue, Tighnari has all the colours on earth... 😅
Emily has dine detailed lace and small decoration details with lots of bows. She has flower motifs for obvious reasons(do her story quest).

I feel like because natlan is coming a lot of people are under valuing her, she’s definitely built for future content and teams but she’s already really strong. It’s like right now she’s an S tier character but has the potential to be SS with natlan. I think her kit is really interesting and I’m excited to try some fun off meta things with her and anyone that can make my arlecchino teams shine is a must pull
She's a subdps that requires burning, and she will only ever be a subdps in burning teams. If you don't like her design, she honestly has low value.
I lowkey think people are way overvalueing Natlan characters, Kinich and mualani so far don't even seem to be that much better than the midpack of Fontaine. People hyping Pyro archon up which I get, but it is really just hype and no substance. We still have 0 clue about the future.

@@tetraavalon3664I mean, so is Xiangling, Yae Miko, Yelan, and even chiori; granted that Xiangling is also used for pyro application due to her 0 ICd and Yelan has a ramp-up dmg bonus, although not particularly useful in hyperbloom as most dmg is from hyperblooms, thus her utility remains in being the hydro element.
Yet Emilie is basically the modern Xiangling of burning teams. By modern, i mean with standard protocol of no snapshot, standard ICD. BUT she does deal quite a lot of damage, and with more range than Xiangling to boot, with quadratic scaling on tight packs of enemies.
Emilie's presence makes burning teams more of an optimal approach but still suffers with a solid dependence on XL for solid pyro application, while there are other roundabout ways with using Dehya as deepwood holder and then Kazuha burst or other anemo characters with elemental absorption so Sucrose burst or Lynette burst, yet Kazuha has advantage of more potent CC.
Speaking about xiangling/emilie: "but do you really want to replace her with a limited 5 star that is a slight upgrade in single target and a slight downgrade in aoe and overall quality of life upgrade that she'll probably get better in the future but right now that's just what she is" YES! YES! A trillion times yes! I hate having to battery xiangling. I hate it with a passion. Oh, you continued "I don't know if that's really worth it." Oh, well let me settle it for you, it is.
Is she a must-pull? Heck no. But she's a character who reminded me a ton of fischl. Obviously not as universal or anything but the playstyle just felt similar but even easier. If someone cares at all or will ever play a team that can use her is 100% up to them. But if you like any of those things she's a pretty decent pull even if nothing pans out in Natlan or if there are such OP units released that she wouldn't be able to find a slot on the team of the pyro archon. I tend to fill the chances are slim to none but to each their own on risk assessment.
Emily ain’t a small downgrade in aoe she is massive downgrade. Along with that in single target most of the time xiangling will do more damage due to double hits. She’s a great character and idk why ppl compare her to xiangling because while she is worse that is still amazing. Still don’t pull until she gets better or else you might have her, but not pyro archon or someone else that will actually make her good.

Pyro dps want to vape (except Arlecchino, Lyney). I'd rather play burgeon Yanfei. If she replaces Nahida it's still a side grade.
So far only Thoma with Emilie would be another "new" duo instead of Bennet, simply because what's our Pyro options?? Xiangling and Bennet. I'm not playing Xinyan.

As for XL, she is terrible without bennett, big energy issues and a massive dmg loss
Dehya works perfectly with Emilie for keeping the buring going, give her Deepwood so that Emilie can use Reverie and she is one of, if not her best partner
And you still have 2 slots open
Can use Furina/Jean
Can use someone like Thoma or Yanfei for shields and buffs and then Arlecchino or Yoimiya on the field
Can even use Navia/Chiori for more aggresive team
Can use Clorinde and Fischl
Can use Ganyu/Wrio/Rosa and a flex for burn melt
Can even use another pyro like Thoma and then Neuvillette cus even if he washes the pyro aura, it gets reapplied and one tick of burn is enough to keep Emilie's Case leveled up
There's so many options for Emilie, not even taking into account all the future releases, yet people always default to bennett/XL...
Will be funny to see her turn into another Kazuha, Yelan, Kuki and the inevitable "when Emilie rerun"

As someone who prefers dmc to nahida Émelie is the dendro character I’ve wanted for a while, trading some aoe and buffing from sapwood for better damage and not needing to worry about having the lamp explode is very convenient.
I am a future Kinich wanter and the only reason I'm not pulling her is because she isn't a buffer.. if she's still a staple on his teams when she reruns I might end up pulling

I've been using her on a Yoimiya/Emilie/Furina/Siegewinne team and I've really been enjoying it! It's not my highest damage team by any means, but it works and its fun!
I mean, just about anything "works" in this game. It's a casual game for 95% of the content.
risked a 5050 on her and won so yeah she is now neatly slotted into my dehya furina charlotte team,didnt expect her to work that well in it,but color me suprised that she manages to upkeep the burning with just dehya and that against both charlotte and furina.(esp when i use dehyas burst which is worthwhile in this)
and even if not if the burning goes out that means i get burgeons on my hybrid dehya who has 483 em on top dps stats.
emilie isnt fully leveled yet so my abyss testing is still on hold but the concept i did already test plenty in the overworld.
pretty good upgrade vs my c6 collei who i mostly used before in this,and def. competes with nahida in raw dmg due to no electro.

My problem with this character and the main reason I didn’t pull is that she doesn’t actually really buff burning at all. Which might have actually given her some future proofing. Instead her personal damage is buffed by burning. So I don’t even know how she would have any future use with those teams. Kinda a bummer, her kit could have been so much more.

She doesn't buff burning. She uses burning to buff herself. She's not a support. She's a dendro Yae, strong off field dps unit.
Yup. And that’s one of the issues. Nahida is both a better burning support and more universal off field dps. Emilie is outclassed in everything. Yae has a similar problem being outclassed by fischl as a support and an off field dps in 90% of teams. Hopefully they’ll buff burning in some way. But the more likely scenario is they invent a new mechanic that is uninteresting (like the bond of life mechanic) and try to buff all the Natlan characters with that instead so that older characters don’t get buffed in any way.
Could I ask how buffing burning as a reaction is better than what she currently has? It literally works the same way, if burning is active then she'll contribute more damage to the team. Am I missing something?
@I.disagree Buffing burning would give her some longevity in the meta and give her something unique to her. As it stands now, she is just an off-field DPS that is very reliant on her signature weapon and burning to do good damage. Being an off-field dps with no buffing capabilities, with a reliance on a very “meh” reaction means that she will be decent in burning comps and far from stellar in any other teams. Which also hurts her flexibility and use outside of burning teams. The fact that she relies on burning to do decent damage really hurts her viability because it’s just a bad reaction.
The team that I was most interested in for Emilie is using her as the dendro in Thundering Furry Razor. That team very briefly will make burning happen with c6 Bennett before Razor's wolf wipes the burning, but I wasn't sure if that was enough time to spawn a scent to upgrade Emilie's skill. But man... I really wish she could benefit from Bennett's burst while off-field (RIP snapshot...)
I agree with most of this but i personally like the wriothesley emilie teams, freeing up furina for me ESPECIALLY in this abyss where she goes nuts on the second side really helped and even gives me more rotation flexibility since i dont have to worry about healing for furinas buffs, also with emilie instead of furina you can consistently get melts on wriothesley unlike furina who can steal some of his melts, with emilie still doing maximum damage as all she needs is for burning to happen which is incredibly easy in this comp
I'm surprised you seemingly didn't try her with Dehya at all. For example, that Neuvillette team could have used Dehya instead of Xiangling to trigger the burning while acting as a pseudo-shielder instead of using Zhongli for that. That would have freed up a team slot for Furina like you wanted.
Anyway I largely agree with this. She's fine, but will get better if the pyro archon is a Xiangling replacement.

I could also see Dehya replacing Xiangling on the burnmelt team. Both Ganyu and Wriothesley benefit from interruption resistance and would be comfier with any degree of shielding; Ganyu would get off more consistent charged shots, and Wriothesley is less likely to either be interrupted or drop below 50% HP. Maybe I'm wrong or hitting the copium a little hard, but that's where my mind went.

I mean Emilie Dehya have just perfect synergy and Dehya is first and foremost a support; amazing fire appliances, damage reduction, interruption resistance she’s a semi shielder…..
I run Dehya, Nahida, Emilie, and Kuki. Nice damage from off fielders with low field time requirements. Dehya is unkillable. She can also wear burning to boost her melee, hunters, or glow...
Dehya+Emilie is not enough elemental application for consistent melts, much less for vapes.
XL+Nahida still the goat
As someone who has played this game since launch and still doesn't own a single 5* polearm. I have been finding success with "Missive Windspear", so if you played the event back then I think that would be her BIS f2p option.
Fav is generally better, first of all even in double dendro she still needs 140-150 unless you use nahida.(she has the best er generation for a sensor unit). From leaks Munich uses her and he want his burst so while fav is 15% worse in damage according to tgs the er for the entire team makes it worth it.
@@xiahe6708Kitain Cross Spear is also a good option. It has just as much base atk, up to 12% skill dmg bonus, and the same energy refund as R1 Lumidouce Elegy, so it's guaranteed energy back rather than needing to trigger the passive through RNG and being on field to catch particles, which may interfere when you have a dedicated on fielder.
fav would probably be her f2p BiS as her being a driver in the Furina forward vape twam with XL and Bennett.
I wouldnt recommend using Kitain. To proc its passive u need to use elemental skill and if u do that u reset ur lamp to lvl 0. U want to maintain the uptime of her lamp through hee burst, so basicaly u put lamp once with a skill and then forget about her elemental skill for the lest of the battle @@flamezforthegamez1056
I really wish Emilie's A4 passive gave us some type of def shred or res shred against burning enemies inside her lantern AOE. I would have pulled her if she wasn't just a damage dealer. I already have lots of those.
kinich is 100% mine and I love investing vertically in my favourite characters premium teams. Emilie is 100% still a skip to me.

IMO Emilie outshines Singles bosses floors, and a particular character that im using with her is tighnari. The 2 are amazing together.

I am talking about her sub dps damage, the fact that her raw unbuffed dendro damage is competing with or is even higher than the damage of the likes of a C6 Xiangling that has 15 percent res shred and 15% pyro dmg bonus for her constellation, free 1100+ atk from Bennet, 30 res shred and about roughly 40ish% dmg bonus from kazuha in mono pyro teams or furina who has access to crazy buffs from her fan fare stacks or even fischl in aggravate with all the res shred and dmg bonus, should be taken into consideration
Before release she was rumored to be the sub dps with the highest off field dmg in the game and now that she is released she didn’t disappoint, her raw unbuffed dendro dmg is crazy, the only team where a sub dps beats her is in international or Xiangling vape, and at that point you are comparing reaction dmg to raw damage that just goes to show how much dmg she deals when built properly
And yes, she is the sub dps with the highest raw dmg in the game
This alone should put her above chiori on any tierlist cus her dmg profile is even higher than that of chiori
i pulled for her, i like her as a character and im always down for easy off field DPS's. And lets be real, they are absolutely going to do something with burning and the talking stick in Natlan, we all know its coming.

Emilie kills pyro enemies unlike Xiangling. She may not be a must have character, but Emilie was worth it for me :)
Her burst is actually super important for her kit. It allows you to keep the level 2 lumidouce case indefinitely. If you let the level 2 case expire or just recast the skill before it expires it summons a level 1 case again. This drastically lowers her DPS since you need to waste time for it to build back up to level 2. If you use her burst BEFORE the existing level 2 case expires it will revert back to a level 2 case after the level 3 duration expires from the burst. If you just use her burst with no case on field, or a level 1 case, it will revert back to level 1 after the burst. Such an important key feature about her kit. Level 2 has so much more DPS behind it. She should definitely have enough ER to burst every rotation, somewhere between 110% - 140% depending on the team comp and weapon choice.
Me- hmmm she’s an off fielder who at worst is a sidegrade with great teams but she wants burning, kinich wants burning, there’s sets coming that buff people involved in reactions, a specific burning set, and we’re going to the pyro nation… obviously she’s gunna be insane in like 2-3 months.

To be clear, I think it gives 85% pyro res from the Burning reaction only, not pyro damage per se.

I found the wrio melt team to be so perfect. i get to melt the exact hits i want and furina is no longer stealing melts with her hydro amp.
also in this current abyss furina is much better on 2nd side so running burnmelt on side 1 without her worked wonders.
I suspect she's another Nilou, in which she was released way too early and will -probably- OP as hell when Natlan characters come out.
I think I’ll get her for Kinich eventually. But I want to save my Guarantee for Kinich. Then go from there.

I pulled on her- partly cause I think she's really pretty and her character and voice is so soothing. Other part is that I love Dendro teams and I think she has potential to switch up my gameplay.
And luckily I got her weapon pretty early, so I can fully optimize her.
Still building her (at Lv 70, missing a good Sands piece, Weapon needs to be upgraded) but I am genuinely looking forward to experimenting.
C’mon….. did you forget about Yanfei for those who don’t have 5-star pyros or electros or don’t care about META?? How can Yanfei and Emilie not already have the best of synergies?? I don’t have C4 Yanfei but I’m pretty darn sure her shield will just make Burning even more survivable and uptime just as good if not better than the 5-stars. Would at the very least elevate Yanfei beyond a Chevreuse overload DPS. So sad I didn’t get to see this pairing tested so that you can prove me either right or wrong.
I think because it isn't really worth testing. Mono Pyro is a pretty old team archtype and Emilie doesn't change much. You trade AoE damage and small Pyro buffing with a strong ST character. And Yanfei was a okay option in Mono Pyro before that. And the shield is nice but in my runs i didn't feel the need of that. While Burning does damage to yourself so does Furina and rhe Furina Vape teams didn't need a shielder either. And compared to most 5* carries she is just a damage downgrade.
Tldr Yanfei is just another Pyro on fielder for that team that just deals damage. Not a lot to talk about. She is Klee with less damage, more range and a shield with C4 that isn't really improtant.
@@joe_simon Thanks for your input but we’re all well aware that Yanfei is not a 5-star and that she’s not META. I’d have liked to have at least heard Yanfei mentioned in his segment on the Mono-pyro teammates which Yanfei certainly should be an option even if she’t not one of the best ones. If a fellow Liyue pyro 4-star like Xiangling is mentioned then why did Yanfei not get some time? Sure a shield may not be necessary but THAT’S WHAT I’M HERE TO FIND OUT. (Also Furina stops damaging the team at half HP, so it’s not a fair comparison)
@@ZAPanda19 The reason why Xiangling is mentioned is because pre Emilie she was in the majority of the Mono Pyro teams as she is the only strong off field Pyro character and Emilie had the Potential to replace her. That's it.
Xiangling is the only one with a specific and doesn't have a good alternative: Off field Pyro damage dealer (and also Burning enabler at the same time).
Yanfei is just another Pyro on fiedler on a long list in the end. That's it. Nothing more. Adding her won't add anything. She doesn't add anything. You could add Xinyan too and it wouldn't change anything except the damage getting lower.

He tests several teams and decides what’s good and what’s not based not just on damage but comfort as well as other factors like ease-of-play, and I’d have been happy to hear he tested Yanfei even if it didn’t perform as well as the 5-stars (I KNOW he ranked her Tier-2). I would be happy to hear him AGREE with you that this pairing adds nothing and is just an OKAY or maybe even a low damage but COMFORTABLE team. The point is I don’t have Emilie, I don’t have a Limited 5-star Pyro DPS, I DON’T like to play Xiangling because THAT’S WHAT EVERYBODY DOES, and I’m interested in this pairing, and maybe he could have helped me decide if I wanted to try for Emilie, but not if he hasn’t tested it.
@@ZAPanda19 Because there isn't much to test. Her shields is nice but not needed because Bennett and Burning Res. It isn't her best team but as all Mono Pyro teams it's still fine. She has no special synergy nor anti synergy. She just deals her damage. What is there to test? I can tell you without testing that this team works and is fine. Not really better than Chevy or Vape teams for Yanfei (especially Vape because she can abuse her high CA scalings well) but still solid because her previous Mono Pyro team was fine too and Emilie is a ST upgrade but Overall AoE downgrade to Xiangling.

Disappointed that she doesn't buff burning for all characters, instead relies on it for her damage. Really wanted to add a character to buff my Dehya in a new way.
I use both Dehya and Emilie as a dual sub dps combo with a flex sustain/support and a dps character and I've been successful in clearing the abyss comfortably. 🙂
I do like Xiangling and Bennett as characters and units, but it's always been a pet peeve of mine that so many teams rely on either (or both) of those units. So I definitely welcome Emilie, even if she isn't a crazy improvement over them. I love variety in my teams and I love her design so obviously I had to pull for her.

Her burst is important imo. She should only E once and then Q all the way, refreshing the E everytime she Qs. You don't E again as then she loses her damage stacks.
She's actually very strong right now and can work pretty good with dozens of team comps, and she will even be broken when Natlan and pyro characters gets released.
I wanted to pull for her but her banner was so horrible that i went for Navia instead 😅
As someone who correctly predicted Chlorinde would be garbage I'm now predicting Emilie is going to be top tier.
My Emilie is on my Furina Vape Team. I realized we really need a Bennett + Xiangling in one character.

From my testing she’s been a sidegrade in reverse melt teams compared to Furina (Emilie on Deathmatch vs Furina on the pipe). It may be disappointing that it’s not an improvement but imo being able to compete with the best archon/perhaps the best character in the game is impressive. And that’s before any of the Natlan supports come out. Freeing up Furina for another team is really valuable to me since almost everyone wants her. That’s how I rationalized pulling Emilie and so far no regrets at all
She feels like the type of character not to rerun for more than a year so I thought it'd be better to secure her now than later. Plus, even though she's niche for now, I'm hungry for an off-field dendro dps besides nahida
I knew Emilie would probably become good with the release of natlan so I didn’t feel bad pulling for her but honestly the main reason I did is because I just really like her voice 😅

I think Emilie should get a passive that decreases all elemental res on enemies when they're burning. That would make her way better
another thing to consider is the deepwood set, it's actually just around 1% worse than the burning set if there's no other 4pc deepwood holder in the team. (deepwood set depending if the enemy has higher or lower dendro res, might also perform better or worse respectively)
For "future" potential, Emilie rn doesn't have a dedicated on-field Dendro dps who synergizes with burning. it's more likely Emilie will be the 4pc deepwood holder for that specific burning Dendro DPS. It's something completely missed in this video (only addressed in the comments) as the res shred is basically the 4pc vv equivalent for dendro if ever an on-field burning DPS were to release in the future...
But you could also put Dehya on Deepwood and have both dendro dps units on Reverie/new relavent set.

So on my alt account, I main Lyney and I was surprisingly high in pity on both weapon and character banners (RIP Xiphos Moonlight never coming home…).
I let the weapon banner decide my fate for which character to pull and got Emilie’s. So I ended up pulling and winning her too! This ends up working out well for me because the downside of using Xiangling is that she’s very restrictive to melee range which is not ideal for Lyney. Great for Arlecchino tho, but Lyney appreciates an off-fielder that has range. I’m overall pretty happy with how this worked out!
What is this Cianling simping? Emilie Dehya is the perfect combo since most people will have/ get Dehya C2. tons of viable teams there.
As far as Emilie vs Xiangling goes, I think people tend to overlook one big advantage Emilie has over Xiangling, and that's reach. Xiangling is tied to the area around the character. That's better than Circle Impact, but still means you want to run a grouper or else you'll spend a bunch of time running around. Emilie just reaches out and touches, and things die and has no downtime on her damage dealing. This lets you focus on the higher hp enemies, while the turret unit(s) take the trash. Both of my main Abyss teams utilize this, with one pairing Emilie (previously Fischl) and Nahida, while the other combines Chiori with Yae. It's a bit different way to build teams than the norm, where people focus entirely on beating up what is next to the active character. That said, the DPS of these turret types does tend to feel a bit low without vertical investment.
Beyond that, I think she's one of the bigger pay to win characters we've had in quite a long while. Her weapon is a big DPS increase and, well, wishing on the weapon banner sucks, and right before a new area... Likewise, her first two cons greatly increase her damage.
You didn't try Burgeon with Yanfei as the Driver? One of the problem was there there was too much pyro and Emilie seems to increase the damage
I don't know how, but my Emilie doing more damage with Favonius, than yours with Jade Spear, and with Calamity it's like twice higher. Either you artifacts are very bad, or you don't have deepwood on anyone in team. And, as often, bad takes-she definitely not easy skip, cause even now, she is great sub dps for a lot of teams, and for those,who gonna pull for Kinich, she will be best teammate.

Excuse me? Dehya's fine. She's a staple companion for any of the Fontaine cast. She works amazing with Emilie if you actually put them together, which frees up a solid duo slot for anything else. The only people who say she's bad are those that don't use her or expect her to do Arlecchino damage for no reason. She does her job solidly.
Plus, Yae and Kokomi are part of that initially slept on list too.
I like that you made a very detailed analysis, but it seemed like every team revolves around or is compared to one with Furina
I really want her, easily one of my favorite designs, but I can't justify it after just using half my stash finally getting Yelan. Maybe she'll have some better teams on her rerun...
I feel like that sometimes concentrators miss crucial things when reviewing characters without her weapon, Emily is 100% skip The damage with her weapon is absolutely incredible without her weapon. She is essentially a four star character.
I mean, you mentioned if it's worth it as a xiangling replacement, but that was always Yelan's case, no?
Yelan is a "better Xingqiu, but that works better with Xingqiu", while Emilie is a "better Xiangling that works better with Xiangling". Personally, I think if Yelan is worth it as a replacement, then Emilie should also be.
Having Hydro aura or Pyro aura on enemies is really strong overall, I'd say.
But anyways, I think my main problem with Emilie is how weird she feels with her "skill focused kit" but that her most optimal play is to never press the skill button (only using burst). And she's an off-field that has energy issues as well, so she feels... weird, at the end of the day.
Just saying imo xinquu is better and Emily is just a side grade 90% of the time.
I pulled Emilie for 2 reasons
1. I already had her artifact set for farming arlecchino
2. My account is really tall and can clear abyss in 40 sec max per chamber so I guess I have to focus on IT
I purely got her because I like her style/look. I also have wanted to build a burning team but didn't like enough of the fire characters. I'm hoping natlan will bring in some more options👍
Also, consider that with the nation of pyro coming up, we also will get new pyro Enemies. I know that hydro characters are broken but you never know how hoyo could balance enemies so they are not as easy to kill like others pyro enemies.
I wonder how Arlecchino, nahida, Emilie, Bennett would do? Nahida would make the burn damage much higher right? I’m very burn-curious lol. I’ve heard burning is a weak reaction but if you’re doing 1k+ burn ticks multiple times per second, is it really that weak? I honestly don’t know which is why I’m asking.

@@hazeysgardenThe idea is to replace Zhongli with a more offensive unit since you don't need the interruption resistance anymore. Another nice element is it lets you avoid losing the third stack of his hydro reaction passive if you struggle to get a third hydro reaction to proc after burning sets in.
I don't have C1, so I can't say with any experience how the team performs compared to alternatives. I think at worst it will be a good option though.

i think this banner will make them plenty of money. they've got one character (yelan) for people who want to pull for meta and another character that just gives a fun new playstyle on teams they might have been bored of (emilie). those people probably have been using yelan since many patches ago so they have the primos to spare for a new character

They only need to print more pyro support and BOOM. Emilie is even better, because Nahida is all the Dendro support we ever need.
A good thing about being on the 2nd half is that we'll get the preview for Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina kits, and see if any of them can synergize with Emilie while her banner is still up. Of course, in-game testing is still key, so I'd still recommend for people to wait for her rerun so the Natlan meta can have time to develop.
As much as I think she’s quite a good damage dealer now and look forward to her potential with more offensive off field pyro options in the future, the thing that most made me want emilie for my arleccino is just that arle is my fave dps to play and I just don’t want to keep burning quickly in the overworld - the amount of collective time I waste on ley lines waiting for the fire to stop before picking up drops and opening the flower soon adds up. It’s not loads but it’s enough to want the quality of life.
And I just love when rarely used reactions and mechanics are the core of a kit.
Plus I now want chiori to complete the set of Chevreuse’s vigilante craftsmen, trading by day, pow-powing wrongdoers by night. Chev would really like Batma- I mean Diluc.
I've been playing her with Furina - Hu Tao - Xianyun. CA jump cancel into plunge with Hu Tao. Gives swirl, good damage from Hu Tao (with burgeons and vapes as well), and just enough pyro and dendro to keep just enough burning in single target. Haven't done enough testing for A4 passive buff though. That team has energy issues when single target, and is very squishy... Dangerous, but for someone who typically plays unshielded Hu Tao, quite fun when you survive.
I've been too busy to try out other teams to any extent. Dabbled a little with overload in various combinations but not enough to make any determinations. I also only play female characters on my main account, so no Bennett, Zhongli, Kazuha, etc.

It’s so funny how Genshin somehow evens out perfectly. Last time I pulled on Yelen I had insane luck and got three copies in less than 7 ten pulls so I decided to save up for her next time and try to have one c6 character. But then this wish period came out and I lost three 50/50’s in a row and I’m out of extra money and Primos. C4 is still insanely good though so it wasn’t all bad.
Pretty obvious that mister Jelo does not realise the value of Emilie and will create another Kauzha, Kuki, Shenhe incident together with the other content creators.
I doubt that will happen, personally. She is a dps with team building restrictions, rather than a support who opens up options.
Now I do not think she is bad. I quite like mine. But the nature of her kit, plus the potential of a straight up good pyro off field 5 star in Natlan...

Emilie is going to be the same way. Especially when burning is such an interesting concept they can mess around with, and we already have multiple team comps possible with it. It's essentially all the same compounding reaction bonuses as electrocharged, but without hydro. It's just people need to be willing to look beyond Bennett+Xiangling long term.
