This film and, in particular, the sounds of this soundtrack have always produced in me an indescribable sensation: like a mixture of nostalgia, unreality ... in short, that magic of the 80's sound. Even a very pleasant sadness, like the final scene with Alicia walking away with the sunset: those chords make me cry! It is a simple soundtrack but with the right kind of sound for that and so effective! I have always loved it!
I would like to take the opportunity to ask you a specific question. The music starting at minute 0:59, is improvised by you? That little cue seems to me an absolutely fascinating moment harmonically and timbrally! Are there improvised synth parts on the soundtrack? There are times when you have given me the feeling of that and I would like that doubt to be cleared.
Congratulations one more time on your career and good health for this pandemic!

@@Sujkhgfrwqqnvf Thank you for asking, Actually, the entire score - except for the theme song with lyrics and its instrumental-only versions - was improvised to the picture by me, with 1980s keyboards.

Ive been trying for years to figire out which version this is. Couldn't find it anywherere, there are so many versions.
This is the version i grew up with. The theme song takes me back to such a strange, beautiful, noatalgic feeling. 🙏🏼
I used to watch this movie all the time when I was younger. To be honest, it's probably why I love the 80s, that and this Care Bears DVD I had. The music is all so calm and serene, and really give a sense of magic and wonder. Of course, looking back now I realize that yeah, it's not the best film, but it still is nostalgic for me.

I watched this one when I was really young but eventually, it got scratchy and unwatchable, and then I got a DVD for Disney's Alice (which I still use today) and I never touched the DVD of this movie since then lol

I found this on VHS at a Goodwill when I was 7, and I was a HUGE Alice fanatic, so it was awesome finding version I had never seen before. I loved this! I know Burbank is considered a Disney knock off, but I like this animated version more. The music is THE BEST! It is so warm and comforting, reminds me of the night I put the tape in, the warm lamp beside the chair, and in the night of my living room, watching the warm pinks and blues, hearing that 80s score, I love it!

There 4:42 that music there really made me remember this movie. That's what Wonderland should feel and sound alike, really ambient and psychedelic. I been a fan of the story and Disney's adaptation but this one is also memorable and in my opinion the music (specifically the ending music there I highlighted) that feels like True wonderland and not a product of a dated orchestra score. The final shot of Alice going off into the sunset and that music really made this story a ending that will stay with me for a long time. Thanks for uploading this!
Thank you for writing. The music I created for that film with 1980s synthesisers sounds very dated, but I'm glad it touched you. I do feel proud of the closing scene music you refer to; that it captured something, a dream of a magical ('psychedelic') "Wonderland" we all seek.

It really made me made nostalgic for a time I didn't experience and create stories because of the great dream like quality it had. Thank you so much!
