With the silly lift on the dually , towing a gooseneck bumper pull , strapping the truck on the trailer the way it was , I have to wonder was the v10 cummins , the 4bt Elmer's glued cummins , tow mirrors for traction joking ? Or clueless ?
@@MLGtroll365 There’s literally no part of put on my Cummins that’s been over $300 and that was the A/C compressor. If you wrench on them yourself they’re easier and cheaper to work on than just about any gas burner. Cummins are made to be able to be worked on easily. They’re made where you can actually do a head gasket on one yourself. Had the transmission built for $1500. I’ll take that all day over the amalgamation of problems you can get out of a Duramax or Powerstroke. Go work on all motors and chassis one by one and cone back and tell me which ones trash. Biggest trash body is Chevrolet. Worst front end, worst rear end, and I’ve seen just as many Allisons go out as I have Dodge 48REs.
@@GMbowtie350 i do all the basic work. Valve lash rocker arms studs etc. but my trans started acting up. I have to let off the throttle at 20 mph just for it to shift inTo 2nd. But it shifts perfect after that. I haven't driven the thing in like 2 months. It also leaks fluid out of the bowl around the rear main seal area. That black half circle cap at the bottom of the trans up by the front 4wd drive shaft. I dont do trans. Work. 48re i think i have.
