I can somewhat understand him and the Steelers feeling some type of way about him sitting out for that year but that team was clearly falling apart chemistry wise. I also can’t blame someone, especially a RB, for wanting guaranteed money. Like yeah, his money would’ve been similar in Pittsburg but you never know what can happen, hell he could’ve been cut a year into his “lucrative” deal, shit happens. He got almost 30 million guaranteed the day he signed with the Jets. How can you say “Go get your money by any means” and then be upset when someone is smart and takes the guaranteed money when they play the most replaceable position in football?

If you had a problem with what you got paid, Foster, you should’ve taken that issue up with management and not taken that out on Bell. But then again, you didn’t have the guts to do that, because you were content with “selling out,” “kissing up,” and just taking what they gave you and letting them rip you off. It’s my understanding that you and your teammates were mad that Bell didn’t tell you what he was going to do. I think it was Pouncey that said that and obviously, you agreed with him. I’ve got news for you buddy: Bell doesn’t have to tell you anything about what he’s going to do based on his contract. That has got nothing to do with you because that’s between him and management. Your job is the block for the running back, that’s currently on the team and under contract. That’s it. There’s a phrase, that you and your Steelers buddies liked to use. That phrase was “NEXT MAN UP.” Put simply, your responsibility is to do your job, shut up, and get paid, and then go home. If you don’t like that, then go find another job.

Bell wasn’t even under contract at the time during his holdout. HE HAD NO OBLIGATION TO THE STEELERS FROM A BUSINESS STANDPOINT TO BE THERE. The Steelers and all other NFL teams are known as being hardliners when it comes to money and they use the term “business” to justify that unethical hard line stance. The Steelers got a taste of their own medicine. The best part was that Bell was ethical and did nothing wrong.

Bell hasn't been received well in any locker room. He gambled on himself and it didn't work. His style needed a mature and patient offensive line. Something u can't get on most teams. He wasn't the type that can play anywhere and be great. He overestimated his talent. Pittsburgh called his bluff in this case and he went elsewhere and learned. Only certain kind of talent can be a star anywhere they go. He wasn't that cause his style.

No running back who goes to the jets after being great on the first team ever did well my guy. It's the jets not the running backs who were the issue. His style literally could work almost anywhere
