Guitar player here who also keeps a Squier P-Bass around to fool around with. My all time favourite bass intro has to be from Shuffle It All by Izzy Stradlin and the JuJu Hounds. It's so soulful and melodic, setting up a killer I, IV groove!
Definitely happy Let There Be More Light is on here, definitely one of Roger Waters’ best riffs and one of the coolest intro bass solos in general. So badass and fun as hell to play
As an amateur bassist I appreciate this. Sometimes we can't wait for an specific theme or excuse to play some kick ass lines. Btw, thanks for picking BRMC cause it's been forever since someone recorded a fine cover of this riff. Seeing live performances from the band hardly ever do it justice, because Robert always seem to be so wasted in the stage
Thank you so much. Yeah in the live performances of BRMC he seems to play it differently sometimes. I saw them a few years ago and can't wait for them to tour again.
Really enjoy all your videos mate. Just discovered your videos recently, have been watching this kind of thing for the last 20 years by hundreds of players and you hands down in your bass and guitar videos nail the tone ten fold compared to anyone else. You have great taste in music. Perfect balance of old and tasteful new.
The velvet underground had some amazing bass lines. European Son is so damn catchy. Also, while we're talking about the velvet underground, Happy Birthday to the one and only Nico ❤ (RIP)
Your right hand technique (in this particular case, plectrum-style) is sooooooo good! I’ve been playing on-and-off over the course of last 16 years (since age 14) and I’m nowhere near as good with a pick as you are! Heck, most people I know aren’t as good as you! Thank you for VU, Lizzy & The Pistols!
I have similar bass but it's a heavily modified sawtooth p bass so when I see the bass I am tripped out some friendly advice try using your pinky to keep your hands in a neutral place
You know the song is gonna be bad ass when there’s a bass intro 🔥
AIC Rotten Apples 🫡
My favourite AIC song

Twenty Four Hours!!! Peter Hook is ace.
My fav song off Closer.
I was lucky enough to meet Hooky in 2015
I was SHOCKED to see my favorite the Jam song on here

Those are some excellent choices right there.
Saw the notification for this and hoped I'd see some BRMC in here! Lovely selection, playing and tone as always :)
The Gift ---> grunge in 1968
Definitely happy Let There Be More Light is on here, definitely one of Roger Waters’ best riffs and one of the coolest intro bass solos in general. So badass and fun as hell to play

Thank you! I’m always trying to improve my tone so that’s good to know. Also I love the oldies. It’s good to mix it up now and then.

The Velvet Underground could really groove. I forgot that song. Great album. Happy Birthday Nico.
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club 🤘... Please make Manic Street Preachers riffs
“of walk a******n” would be nice…

Thank you! I’m more comfortable with a pick than playing fingerstyle that’s for sure.
Down in a tube station at midnight! Good call
Esa intro es increíble
Finally someone playing the national anthem with distortion
a collection of bangers!
Love Buzz - Shocking Blue
Nice to see some BRMC appreciation. Massively underrated band.
That pink Floyd riff sounds a lot like Taste in Men by Placebo 😮
Love all these tunes.
Nice diverse selection.
Great choice
Then Comes Dudley is a great one also! Has drums tho so it's not solely a bass intro
pink floyd 💗💗
Nice one!
Did you replace the tort guard with this black one? Looks pretty cool!
Yeah that’s right. I might switch it again though
Goes to show you don't need to spend three grand to get good tone. Was happy to hear Cannonball! I was playing it wrong for ages.
Let there be More light
The national anthem 👍
Fantastic!

Brmc mentionated!!!!!!!!!!

@@bloxsy_ they r way underated
@@bloxsy_ Spread Your Love is a good intro bassline too
I like the tones you got here! What’s your signal chain?
I'm using a free version of amplitube for the bass sounds recorded into GarageBand.
You my hero
Please do 10 Radiohead/Colin Greenwood riffs
What settings do you use to get that tone? It sounds great.
Another good one would be "journey to the end of east bay" by rancid
How did you find out about Thunder and Roses?
Nirvana - Lounge Act? :/
That's a good riff also
Hey, can you please tell me the garage band settings of Pennyroyal Tea
Sorry, I can't remember as it was so long ago. I can try covering it again maybe.
@@bloxsy_ sounds good, if you can remember or get the tone again please share it
I would have added Pulled to bits by Siouxsie...
what fuzz/distortion pedals are you using?
I’m using a free version of amplitube for the bass sounds
