I have 18sz 70 anniversary, 18mz WC, 16sz and 16 iz super and i have to say is a big mistake from Futaba to remove FASST protocoll in the new 26sz, for this reason will not buy it, you don’t need 2 screen in a radio with the same information as main one, and for sure i can say 16iz super is a very high end transmitter for lower price, in my opinion Futaba 26 sz is not a great purchase, removing FASST…they lost a lot of buyers, great video mate, thanks for sharing, regards
I agree with you. I also have the 16IZ Super and would say that is much better value at half the price (ish) of the T26. The T26 does feel like slightly it’s better quality. I think most TX manufactures are missing a tick, they should focus on usability. Make it super easy to setup the more complex areas. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍🏽
Hi Matt. great video. Most people like me want the T26 for the 900 redundancy. Any ideas when it will be available in the UK, how it all works and goes together and the cost please.
The Hall Effect gimbals feel much smoother and better, I also like the 6 trims (back again from the 18SZ and mossing from the 16IZ). The on off switch is awesome and now asks you to confirm you want to turn it off (stops accidents). The general quality of finish and fit is better. It’s just the best of the IZ and 18SZ in one. The boot time is super quick (sorry Powerbox). Edit: the battery tray on the 16IZ would get in the way of my hand but its now back underneath which is great.

Very slightly, probably only two millimetres in it to be honest. I've just taken some photos for you. I'll share them to my Facebook page now. They show the base of the top left switches on both transmitters, along with switches at there closest point and furthers points.
Hello. Thank you for the video. The radio has just been released in France. What kind of charger is needed. A Iphone or Samsung phone charger is ok. Thank you
Hi! You just need any USB plug adaptor. It comes with a USB cable which you plug in the transmitter then in an adaptor that allows you to plug in the wall socket. I’ve used an iPhone one and a generic one. Both have been fine.
The sound on this video echoes or switches from right to left channel, I really can't describe it well but it's odd and makes it nearly impossible to listen to on headphones.
If the screen was any bigger it would be the same as the 32MZ! I had a 32MZ but returned it because the large screen had lousy resolution for even the discounted price last year.... Waiting for my T26SZH to replace my Futaba T18SZH which is 8 years old and still works great and has never been serviced (except for the lithium backup battery which I put in myself last year). Why can't Futaba have a high resolution screen like my DJI RC Pro transmitter used with the Mavic 3 and Air 2S???
I’m guessing they are balancing screen quality/power consumption. I still would have thought hi res screens, top and bottom. It is better than my 18 but looks the same as my T16IZ Super. I’ll dig out some technical specs. 🤓
Didn’t know people still wanted Futaba transmitters. Looks ok not sure how easy that timer screen is going to show up outside in the sun. I’m really liking the Frsky transmitters with the screen on top
Good point regarding the top screen. It’s also a shame it’s not very configurable. It’s either timers or telemetry. Build quality is good. I’ve not yet tried a Frsky but hear good things!
@@MattTakharRC Hi Matt, I enjoy your videos very much. I live in the U.S from what I have heard Futaba won't be releasing the 26SZ in the states I wish this wasn't so. I know I could purchase one from overseas however if I had to get anything done on it, I'd have to send it to Japan. I have a 18sz and a 16sz. I'll most likely end up getting a 16IZ Super. I've had two FrSky 20s. Yes, they do a lot. However, I couldn't get used to the small transmitter. I have very large hands, and the radio just never felt right in my hands. The old JR add. Feel the difference. Well, I did and just couldn't get past it.
@alwaysflying6540 @slange455 The vast majority of RC model flyers want to buy an RC system that has reasonable capability, has good support and is reliable. Futaba provide that in a neat package and have done for 6 decades.
Matt enjoy that new radio GREAT
Flew with to for the first time yesterday! Feels nice. Just need to adjust the spring tension slightly 👍🏽

Thanks for your feedback. I’ve not seen anything yet in the 900 module for the T26. I’ll do some digging!

All great points. The boot time is extremely quick when you compare it to Powerbox. I’m going to do a video on the top 5 features I like and dislike!
I would love to see a setup that uses all 26 channels
The most I’ve used is 14 channels. They mount up quick on turbines.
Hello,
How to transfer models from T18SZ to T26SZ.
Thank you for your videos

Are the gaps on the top switches bigger compared to the 16iz? I fly pinched with middle finger sitting between the top 2 and its uncomfortable

Ah I’ve never tried watching it back on headphones. I’ll switch mic’s. Thanks for letting me know.
@@MattTakharRC yep no worries, just wanted to let you know. Great videos btw!

Is this the European version or the US version? I think they will be different in a few ways.
The USA version will be made in Taiwan not China:). I don't think it will be available till November:(

@alwaysflying6540 they do sound interesting for sure. I’ll approach them and see if I can get a TX to review.

Hi. It’s the European version. I’m not sure if there will be any differences at the moment.
