Hi Dean, thanks. You can use a bonding agent and then the KRend. You don’t have to use the basecoat unless you are really unsure of the background. If it’s solid then just use Sbr or the product that primer KRend sell and you should be fine.
Between the painting, plastering, rendering, scratching, you must have arms of steel!! Looks great!

No, the finished look we’re going for is the scratch. That’s the most common style for this render

You shouldn’t see it after a few days once it’s cure properly
