Wow x3 Absolutely unbelievable room reviews. My wife and I are planning a trip to New York City. We really love the ascetic of The St. Regis. If you could recommend one hotel though, what would it be? (Out of all of New York) ...and to go even further, if you could recommend one room? I have a tendency to base my entire trip around the room. 🤷♂️ Thank you, Skyler
I’m a newbie to the channel but not to travel. What sets you apart is your great attitude and your knowledge of the industry while still being able to recommend and help people choose the right program/credit cards. I especially liked the episode on some of the other more complicated stuff that you can do to get cheaper flights and so on. With this being said, I do really appreciate you showing us the hotel and upgrades but to be honest, I felt like it was really lacking on how this is supposed to help us in anyway. Don’t get me wrong, there was some informative stuff there just not your usual video. Therefore, and just my suggestion, when making these videos I think it’s important to always have a short, medium and end goal in mind so when talking directly to the audience and people like me we see the relevance and importance of listening to you all the way through. I do love all of your videos that you have made so far and have watched all of them. Keep up the good work.
@@PrinceofTravel Hope you’re having an amazing day. I understand completely :) I just wanted to throw in my two cents because sometimes we tend to not focus on the objective. At least, that’s my issue I sometimes get distracted. As an example, I am literally working on my deck and realize that I haven’t trimmed some of the stuff in the garden which is overgrown so I leave the deck and go to the garden. One could argue that they’re both important. I would suggest that one is secondary and one is primary. In other words, you sit on the deck and enjoy the deck you have friends over on the deck. While the garden area is far away and not that important. Separately, nice hotel, with sweet upgrades. Don’t by pass the gym lol
I enjoy staying at these high roller places, not rich but I work 17 hours a day taking in abuse from the elements in construction. Muddy, wet and sun burned wearing a hard hat. But boy taking a week and staying at a nice hotel in Miami especially NYC is something else. My crocodile hands feel so out of place when I order tea as well lmao.
I genuinely don't like hotels with warm lighting. I like cool lighting with the use of vibrant colors so I always go for W or Andaz or something similar if any is available.
I wish I'd gone for Globalist in Q1; I already have Ambassador (MR), Diamond (HH), Ambassador Spire (IHG) so it seemed excessive, but...some Hyatts look really nice, like this one.
Maybe I missed it in the video, but did you pay via points or cash at the hotels? I am currently debating between the JW and Park Hyatt for an upcoming stay in December on points (I am titanium and Globalist) and hoping for a nice suite upgrade.
I'm staying 1 night in NY on my way back from Europe in Oct. Staying at the Park Hyatt. Looks very nice! Wish I was a globalist.... 60 nights is so difficult. Haha.
I’ve been wanting to go hotel hopping in NY since forever so I love that you’re doing this video! If you wanna do a part 2 anytime do you have any thoughts on the MO, Four Seasons, WA, or Lotte Palace?
He probably won't do MO, Four Seasons or Lotte Place as these are truly luxury hotels and not part of "loyalty" chains where you can get suite upgrades by being an elite member. WA (Waldorf Astoria), maybe.
Did you requests these hotel upgrades through messaging them in app before your stay or at checkin front desk? Also what’s your elite status type at Marriot?
Really great video. Thank you! I’m going to stay at Essex House next week. Could you tell me more about the $35 dining credit? Is that per night or per stay? Is it per person? Is it for Elite members? (I’m Titanium). Thank you so much!
Thanks for this video. Since I live in NYC, I will never need to stay in these hotels. Still, it’s good to see inside buildings I pass frequently. Hope you enjoyed the city!
@@PrinceofTravel LOL nah I’m not a big fan of fancy hotels like that. For that price I’d rather come visit your city in Canada. You wanna be a tour guide? 😉
your hotel videos are SOOOO MUCH BETTER than some lazy ass video makers like "the luxury travel expert". His videos r unnecessarily long and put in so minimal shooting effort and editing effort. He doesnt even talk in his video and yet so much viewership, due to hitting the youtube G-spot. Pls keep making videos like this one. I watch from beginning to end. I know how much effort was put into making video like this.
I love this series! Feels like I'm vicariously travelling through these videos 😭😭
Same!!
This is my favorite segment of the channel hope to see more hotel series videos. Park Hyatt was my fav ot hotel to see.
I'm glad you like them! They're lots of fun to make too.
Thank you for sharing being around in New York. Very nice..
Love this! Please do Mandarin Oriental and Four Seasons NY next
When I have actual cash instead of points 😃
Great video, hopefully one day I get to stay at this JW Marriott in NY and the Regis as well
well done, I am a Gold Elite Member with Bonvoy. Unsure of Value in getting additional Points cards with Hyatt but that Park Hyatt looks Amazing!

Welcome to NYC, and these properties look amazing and that Hyatt breakfast benefit is nice right now

The Park Hyatt NYC is one of my favorite hotels there aside from the Mandarin. But I love that it’s near shopping, the park and Apple. Great hotel !!
Nice yeah I went to hotel Vancouver last year it was an experience definitely like to try some more
Is is the custom in America to not say please and thank you when ordering room service?
Wow totally amzing, mentally living vicariously through Ricky!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful tour of some great hotels. Thanks
Wow, love this video. It reminds me the trip when I was there.

Thanks for the feedback. I aim to make most of our videos jam-packed with value, but to also throw in a few that are more inspirational for viewers 😃

I died when you had to maximize the shower usage! Either it’s the inner Asian in you or just the enthusiasm for booking a nice place hahahaha
Bit of both 😄😄
Super helpful! I was looking at the Manhattan suite on awards with my family and daughter. 280k points for 2 nights… :(
Love the hotel reviews, hoping to see more of them in the future!
You bet!

@7:19 Please and thank you, and always use their name.
These hotels are operated by ladies and gentlemen, please treat them that way.
Great video! Love the 2 different sock colours at the end :)
Did you checkin using the app ahead of time?

That was a rather satisfying video.加油!
Cheers
How do you know which suites? How to ask by name? Great info.
Take a look at the list of available rooms to book that night on the hotel’s website.
Nice...
These hotels design is quite old though classic (not everyone taste ) just worth because of location thanks to inflation and old property prices
love this, but dont feel like we needed the shower shots LOL
edit: does any of your cards allow for upgrade of adidas cloud foam to superstars? :P

Great video. New subscriber here. You’re very handsome too.
Did you requests these hotel upgrades through messaging them in app before your stay or at checkin front desk? Also what’s your elite status type at Marriot?
Both - message through the app and then reiterate your request at the front desk. I'm a Titanium Elite.
What elite member are you? Gold platinum ?
So what was your favorite?? Have you been to baccarat?
Really great video. Thank you! I’m going to stay at Essex House next week. Could you tell me more about the $35 dining credit? Is that per night or per stay? Is it per person? Is it for Elite members? (I’m Titanium). Thank you so much!
I believe it's per night as part of the resort fee. Should be for all members.
@@PrinceofTravel thank you so much! We’ve sadly decided to cancel given the current situation, and all the testing we’d have to do
too many reviewers review only suites... what r the rooms like?
So which hotel would you choose? PARK Hyatt NY? St Regis or ritz carlton?
i hate to say this but the reflection at 9:20 of you getting out the shower is um, there.

@@PrinceofTravel LOL ok see you at the airport! 😉
Is there a minimum room type to get the room upgraded to a suite? Or you can get the cheapest room and still get an upgrade?
You can get the cheapest room and get a baller upgrade, as long as you have elite status, suite-talking skills, and some luck!
Wings and fries?! I thought you're cutting weight! Haha :P
☠️🤣
I’ve stayed at hotels like this in Asia for $99 per night.
Any Accor hotels coming up? ;)
Unlikely given their weaker loyalty program - but maybe a Fairmont here and there
@@PrinceofTravel Always looking forward to Fairmont reviews :)
Haven’t actually stayed at any of these brands.
Are you Platinum or Titanium with Marriott?
Titanium
I have to pay for my rooms
I don’t get free suites
