I'm having trouble 6:54 when you add the vertices to the circle. I'm not sure if it has something to do with the version I am using (Blender 3.4). When the menu comes up vertices is not an option on that little menu that pops up. So, it makes us beginners become stuck and not able to move forward. Can you help?
Hello dear, I know It's been too long since you posted your comment but I you probably added a Curve Circle instead of the Mesh one. Make sure you're choosing the circle from the correct section.

Glad you liked it mate! I think you're in the vertex mode and you need to change to Face Mode. You can toggle between Vertex, Edge and Face mode by pressing 1, 2 and 3 on your keyboard while you're in the Edit mode.
Amazing tutorial and thank you for sharing. I am having a few issues one being at 4:07 I can not get it to rotate 45 degrees it goes up in the air instead of to the side. Secondly when I get the 6:02 mark I don't have those indentions like you get, mine has hollow holes in them. Any help would be amazing as I am really stuck at this part, I have started over a few times and run into the same issue.
Thanks for your feedback 😊❤️. For rotating properly, press R then press Z to determine that you want to rotate your object in the Z axis, the just enter 45 on the num pad. Although I didn't get your second issue, I think you can fix your problem by editing more your geometry / making sure that you turned on the auto smooth / making sure that you changed the boolean modifier from exact to fast

So with the second issue when I change the Boolean modifier to fast it creates a hole that goes all the way through to the bottom of the Cuban piece instead of creating a small divot where you put the diamonds at.So basically when you hit fast on your video it gives you that little indention to place the diamonds at mine does not do that. I am not really sure where I messed up at to be honest.
@@cursedbeast2873 You made a mistake at the 4:35 point, try to re-create that part. I ran into a problem like yours, make that part again, it helped me solve your second problem.

The smaller diamonds make me want to scream. Unnecessarily high poly, just use a decent quality texture instead and nobody will notice. In fact, it would look even better while also reducing poly count.

Dissolving the edges ? Everytime I click it and highlight the full line and dissolve it changed or deletes the verticies..vertices... can u please explain how what I'm doing wrong ? If I delete all the edges the part deletes itself.
Just make sure you're in the edge mode and then highlight the edge. The shortcut to go in the edge mode is 2. (1 for the vertex mode and 3 for the face mode) you're probably doing it in the vertex mode and it's the cause why it deletes vertcies.
@@3DDrip did you delete every edge line ? I made sure I was in edge mode but the more lines I delete the more the models narrows or gets destroyed.. I was able to get one side dow to 1 - 2 edges but the other side gas many and when I delete those the model gets cut into and ruined.
If you mean how to apply the modifier, just go to the modifier properties and apply the boolean modifier by clicking on that little arrow next to the render visibility
thanks for the tutorial but you have to explain things this took me hours because i had to figure out how to do pretty much everything my self because you didnt explain how to do anything
It’s because this guy hardly knows what he’s doing. A large section of this tutorial didn’t even need to happen if he had just inset the face of the chainlink and extruded down. Not to mention he literally shaded smooth and then went to the sidebar to manually turn on auto shade smooth instead of just doing it in the right click menu

I was good up until 9:15 when I had to mirror the diamonds and join the meshes. It kept saying there was no mesh to join for some reason and the diamonds were mirrored but out of place
The part for where your top part on the chain caves in where you put diamonds at mine won’t do it when i have the diamonds on it can you possibly look over it on discord or something and help me out
I think you should finish this video you stopped when you were almost done you didn't show everything at the end what you were rendering what shades to us what glass to use just an unfinished video, I think you should finish one from start to finish please do another one till the end don't stop ahead of time telling us your going to render when your hitting so many other buttons thanks ma or at least point me in the direction where you have a full finished video not one you cut off early thanks

I think you just need to expand the curve and it'll fix. Or maybe apply the transform of the link by pressing Shift A and choose all transform.

Make sure that every transformations are applied. Do that by pressing Ctrl A.

It's because of the modifiers. If you want to edit the shape of the link, you must select the curve and after that go into edit mode.

@@everythingplusultra Then you don't need to dissolve edges! Leave it like that and just continue doing the tutorial to see what will happen.

I selected them and pressed Shift + D to dublicate and then I clicked on left click on my mouse to put them at their default location

Tbh just set it to the fastest speed, get the basic gist, then do it your own way.

@@3DDrip it was around 6:40 for some reason the circle setting menu for me was different so i couldnt add the verticies to make the diamonds
