@@TheFierburnoh shoot you are right, i put the wrong build, assuming you mean shattered frost being pointless, not blade. i used the single target SB, accidentally copied the m+ build here. SB helps a lot with getting eggs down. updated link and import code, thank you for pointing it out
@@stebansan ive read a lot on the topic and its definitely not cut and dry, you sacrifice 2 points and a runeforge (stoneskin gargoyle gives 6% passive str) to get the shattering nodes which is a lot of investment.
I also did mine with a FDK 609 ilvl but I struggled a lot more than you did, similar build but needed to take Unyeilding Will to clear to spittle and Swift End hero talent to have Reaper's Mark every egg
Might look like a smooth struggle-free kill, but this is like attempt #30 or so xD I was initially running Unyeilding Will, but with the increased cooldown he was casting it way more often than I could dispell/immune. Also I noticed bran dispells like every other cast, so by healing and def cd through one and AMS the other, i had the freedom to pick up some more flat magic res and debuff duration with null magic. The Swift End is a smart pick, didn't think of that. Eggs gave me A LOT of trouble.
I tried very hard to avoid doing that. I was using this is a panic button for the fear on a lot of my previous attempts, but AMS 100% needs to be used on the dot he casts. Also, lichborne is probably a better choice to use before AMS to counter the fear if in the same rough spot :D
@@stebansan I found that horsemen is best for this fight. there's a talent that when you summon them with frostwyrm they cast ams on you. that combined with healbrann dispel and your own ams I could have permanent clearance of poison dot. as soon as I figured that out I beat him and did so after that 3x within an hour
@@Obliviell It does not remove it. you need to precast it before zekvir finishes his cast. AMS makes you immune to new magic applications. If you cast it after, it just tanks the dot
yeah, its the deathbringer shattering blade build but slightly different. I preferred to take horn of winter and inexorable assault over murderous efficiency and fwf. Breath is on the bars since i swap between the builds quite often so i just leave it there. ilvl is about correct, i think i was 609 when I did this.
what lvl was ur brann at the time ? mine is 27 rn and i have 612 ilvl. I feel like i get mostly fucked by bad rng trying to bait out his frontal or some random dmg despite using def cds
can be seen at start, along with his spells - level 45 Baiting frontal is very important, you can sort of see that i am doing it also. Never directly on egg, always attacking it from the side. if you just run to egg while he is on the other side of the room and he ends up casting it, it will be such a large cone that it becomes unavoidable there isnt really any "random damage" here, everything is choreographed semi-predictably. only serious damage spike you should worry about, assuming you dodge all else, is the dot - and this is the thing you need to play around the most to succeed. Immune some with AMS, dispell others with brann, pop big def cd for the ones you have no other solutions for.
@@stebansan why did you choose to go with the optimized relic instead of the timelost ? if i read the effect right it´s only giving you the tempo buff when entering combat the other effect doesnt really come into play
@@Kaynless96 honestly no real reason, at that point i was kind of just experimenting different combinations, have to be honest i think i kinda handicapped myself with this choice. I disliked having to watch for an additional circle for timelost and it rarely procced when i needed it to. Whereas with streamlined relic i was hoping to get a proper opener out (rewatching this detail now i realize i barely got like 3 gcd's off with the buff active) Amorphous is probably the best choice if you have it ranked up, but at the time of this video it was only rank 1 and tbh 3% damage or 3% haste didnt seem too attractive.
your rotations are just playing for pillar of frost and then spamming frost strike, obliteration, and howling blast when rime procs yeah? and then reapers mark off cooldown right? how do you have the scythes up so often? i've played a bit of fdk and never have a scythe ever like 5 seconds or shorter haha
More or less just the "standard rotation", yeah, but you need to play around it a bit in order to stay alive, save cd a bit for egg phase for example. As for scythes, there's a talent that says "exterminate has a 30% chance to apply reapers mark" sometimes you can play around this to get extra scythes
@@stebansan I run SB. I can semi-consistently take him to 40%, but that's it. You have the 4 piece bonus though as opposed to my 2 piece, so that's my last hope before I just admit to be bad at the game and will shamelessly just outgear this bastard.

I also had consumables - flasks, food buff, potions ready. imo if you are making it to 40%, you can get the kill. 4 set might help a bit just really concentrate on like 3 main things - -always and only use interrupt for heal -try to AMS every spittle - for the ones you can't hit, pray bran has dispell up, else pop a defensive cd and focus on staying alive -when doing egg try to bait his frontals a bit by slowly (as much as time permits) zig-zagging towards it maybe check talents too, go as defensive as possible with on-demand damage windows

small tip: if you're in a rough spot, AMS counters the fear and you won't get feared

I don't understand how do you do enough dmg to the eggs without pillar+mark. I have a very similar gear, but I have to use cooldowns for eggs
