    Concave in the nose will help hold you in the steep part of the wave while nose riding. A tiny bit of an edge on the rail helps also. Checkout bill Stewart’s rails on his high performance long boards as well as John kies. Just the tiniest bit of edge on a 60/40 rail holds and releases when you want it to. But you need to put that rail behind a concave nose for flow. Good luck with the short board you can nose ride. Might be on to something.

      There's a whole extended family of Colapintos surfing in San Clemente. Corey is cousins with Grif and Crosby.
