I first got introduced to Lila, of all places, at a Seattle Mariners baseball game when she sung the National Anthem and fell in love with her Joni Mitchell-like voice. Yes, the world can use a resurrection of that voice and music with her own spirited spark and style. May I add, listening to this track immediately thrilled my senses with the sounds and musical prowesses that Donald Fagen of Steely Dan fame delivered in the 70’s and 80’s. ❤

Loved the slinky melodic layers, the movement + layers in the video, and the storyline as a whole. Felt like it was a convo of the younger playful/silly self vs. the polished young woman self -- I relate to this dichotomy a lot, esp in my life right now. The chorus is strong and hooky. The verses? Not so much. But once I got into the song halfway, it caught my interest. (I love the pre-chorus/bridge!) The guitar solo is COOL. And the visuals are FIRE!
