Visiting a Naga Village in Myanmar (Burma)

- Went to visit Ngachan village (a Naga village) in Myanmar (Burma) with some of my village friends. Hope you’ll enjoy this vlog.
Nagas in Myanmar are mostly found in Sagaing Division and Kachin state. The Naga territory in Myanmar is marked by Kabaw valley in the south bordering to the Chin state, the Kachin on the north and the Burmese on the east.
The townships which are inhabited by the Nagas are:
Homalin
Lahe with Tanbakwe sub-township
Layshi with Mowailut sub-township and Somra sub-township
Hkamti
Nanyun with Pangsau and Dunghi sub-township
Tamu of Sagaing Division and
Tanai of Kachin state
I am a Sumi Naga and I love all my Naga people beyond boundaries in Assam, Manipur, Arunachal and Myanmar.
Many young people in Nagaland are misled to think that Nagas of Nagaland are "true Nagas", as if Nagas came into existence with Nagaland statehood in 1963. We Nagas existed before 1963 that divided Nagas into different states in India, we Nagas existed before 1947 that divided Nagas into Myanmar and India, we Nagas existed centuries and centuries before this nation system was introduced. We were free people United by race, culture, tradition, art, lifestyle, food habits and most of all identifying ourselves with our fellow people as Nagas based on these similarities.
We Nagas across borders maybe economically backward but we are not backward socially and culturally.

There are many Naga Burmese poor villages those who don't have clothes to wear or have a house to live in, It would be so good if someone could help them by visiting them and offering them used clothes and doing missionary work by the church's

Worchi ji, it is beautiful to watch you exploring Myanmar Naga . The villagers are all fill with surprised seeing you, kids are happily gifted with metai sweet.. You could have gift them some other thing.. Noddles so that they cook once and remember you once while eating.. Could you tell me the distance between your village and Myanmar villages.. Here, from our village it takes only fea hour to reach the first village cal Toilu village.. They speak same dialect with us ie konyak. Naga of Myanmar are separated by just a boundery lines OR else one Naga.. God bless..
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, I did give more than sweets but there's no need to mention in the video everything. It took us about 4 hours on the motorbike
@@WorchihanZingkhai ye no need to before camera. 4 hour too long. 1 and half hour on foot if bike it may take 30 minute.. I mean from my vil to myanmar Toiu vil.

I feel deep sadness for my Naga brothers and sisters living in Burma. Divided by artificial boundaries, they face struggles unimaginable to those of us in India who have access to modern comforts. While we enjoy the benefits of westernization, they continue to endure hardships, lacking basic needs and living in conditions reminiscent of the 1800s. Their resilience in the face of such challenges is inspiring, yet it reminds me of the stark inequalities that persist. My heart goes out to them, hoping for a future where they can experience the same opportunities we have.
They need our prayers, support and help!

I'm angry and sad that Nagas were divided arbitrarily without our knowledge and consent. Imagine relatives/families divided by random International borders!

Very true. These are the work and politics of Indian govt.and some Nagas are dancing to their music as heroes. They know, Nagas are strong so they've been playing the devide and rule policy. Sadly many Nagas aren't aware of that and they consider themselves as the best and don't really consider much about others and this largely contribute to the destruction of Nagas, which is the actual plan of the Central. Hopefully Nagas will be united and become one of the strongest people.

Do Tangkhul, Poumai, Mao, Maram, Kabui, Angami, Lotha, Sema, Konyak,...,etc. speak the same language or different languages? How do different Nagas communicate with each other? Tangkhuls & Meiteis are blood brothers with written history.
A small clan from Tangkhul and a clan from Meiteis are blood related, not all Tangkhuls and Meiteis are related. We Nagas typically Converse in Nagamese, english or even meitei language.
Nagas in Manipur use manipuri as a common language since Meiteis are the majority is Manipur where as Nagamese is a common language in Nagaland. And not all Tangkhuls are related to meitei. Also there's no proof that they're blood related.
How will Nagaland Nagas & Manipur Nagas communicate? There is linguistic difference in Nagaland. Ao, Angami, Sema & Lotha speak different languages. Eastern Nagaland people want separate administration. Without linguistic similarity, it's difficult to keep all folks under a single umbrella. One should stay away from personal political ambitions. It should be people's first.
