Sounded awesome everywhere but the tunnel. Sounded like a 6cyl to me. Awesome cars and neat to see one unplugged. I just drove my cousin’s M6 ragtop and it was quite a machine. I wanted to flog it some but it hadn’t been driven in a bit. I got on it half throttle or so on the hwy but it only downshifted one gear or just unlocked the torque converter. You can’t do less than 80mph on the hwy or you have to keep letting off the pedal. Like any input and a bit later you check and it’s snuck up on 82-86 without feeling it at all. I’m sure it would cruise 120 and love it for hours. Great experience driving it.

We did BMS Catless downpipes with a custom 76mm stainless x pipe and VIE valve exhaust on ours. Finished with a burble map and stage 1 pushing 494kw and 1000+nm at the wheels. Was an absolute beast to drive. Sad we sold it. Still have some videos I should upload. So brutal and so fun

Its not terrible when you’re cruising, the interior sound deadening is so good on the M6 that it only really gets loud when you’re wide open on the throttle. Id say tho that this might be too loud to daily, particularly with cold starts is where it’s ridiculous

Still sounds stock to me but a little louder , I will tell you why , there is a bad pinch point on the stock midpipe it chokes the sound , If you go FULL Meistershaft GTC, or Full Eisenmann race not axle back it completely changes the sound as they change the pipe size to 3-1/2 “ and made a velocity box to open that center pinch spot , they make a night and day difference ruclips.net/video/JeuK35fLspQ/видео.html
Carefull with those full injectors my motor gave out because of them, make sure to change them out . The tune and downpipes will accelerate injector failure
Idk what it is about bmw, but when you straight pipe it, it always sounds like dawg shit in the lower rpms, my 335i had so much rasp I had to put on a resonator.
its weird cause the S55 in the M3/M4 sound better at low rpm when straight piped but then get way too raspy in the top end. I guess its the opposite here lol

I gotta say the previous generation M6/5 seem like much better vehicles than the new F90. My dad was going to get a killer deal on an F90 but we went to go test drive it and it felt so dull and disconnected from the road.
ive thought that as well, i havent had the chance to get behind the wheel of an F90, but the lack of RWD and no DCT seem less engaging from a driving standpoint

Yes absolutely! On the lower RPM it can be a little raspy but aside from that it does have a very nice tone to it. The DCT bangs are epic!
Turbos actually help with the sound because the exhaust goes through the turbos first. My ion got quieter when I boosted it
