Excellent driving! Once again shows what a difference driver skills make, and what an effective track weapon the Stingray is in the hands of a skilled driver.
Great driving! You definitely demonstrated the value of hitting your marks and maximizing the brakes. That Z06 is fast, but there are a bunch of places, (hog pen, climbing esses) where the differences are going to come down to grip a proper line.
People always say there's not much of a difference going to a z06 from a stingray lol. The straights is a clear visual showing there is a big difference. Imagine if there was a compotent driver in the z06.
Thanks for sharing, what was the setup for each car? Alignment, tires, brakes? Stock for stock the Z06 with it's better suspension, brakes, aero, and bigger stickier tires, should be much quicker in the corners as well. Of course we can't know if the Z06 driver really pushing it so...
The Z06 is stock aside from a track alignment. My Z51 is a HTC and has wheels/200tw tires and track alignment. The Z06 was driving to the best of his abilities; clearly I'm the more experienced driver. I got the point by after this lap and went on to set a PB. 😎
The fact that Z51 driver is much faster and more skilled than Z07 driver , only the difference in straight lines when HP comes in play 670 HP vs 495 HP
@@dneault333 IMO, mag ride is absolutely worth it to have PTM and the flexibility between modes if you street drive the car. If you're going to do a track build with coilovers, etc.. then it's not as worthwhile.

Reeling him in on the braking zones and corners, nice!

Z51 def better driver

I have to put another 1K miles on my ZO6/7 before I can track it, cant wait!!!
Nice! They are incredible on track right out of the box! I'll have one in the stable in the near future. Enjoy!
Much more aggressive driver in the Z51. Having a much lower HP and less valuable car allows you to be a bit more brave.
Experience. He had better lines and braking, and it showed.
Mag ride on your Z51?
Yes, it's a check every box 3LT HTC - front lift, mag ride, etc..
@@AP3D Thxs, I'm running one in time attack next year, on fence about Mag ride, but looks like it's worth it :)

Z51 better driver.
