Hi, Juan ! I’m from Colombia as well! And I’m a big fan of your content and your music. Could you do a video talking about how do you do networking? What have been your steps to get into the film industry, please? Thanks for that vidrios that you’re doing, helps a lot!
I want to move to the USA & I'd love to get there through my music & doing a masters degree in music. How hard is it to get all them contacts & work after your degree? I'm doing well for myself here in the UK, but am worried that I'd go through all the time getting a degree in the USA, just to fail in the 1 year after for work. Thank you for all of your help!
Hey! Great share of your experience I'm an International NYU student as well pursing my Masters in Music Technology at Steinhardt, Im learning to become a recording/Mix engineer. Thanks for sharing your experience I was genuinely worried about my options after school. I have a 3 year OPT program since my course is a STEM program, do you have any advice for the STEM students? When during that timeline would be a good time to start applying for the O1B visa?
I can't speak for STEM students because I didn't have that experience myself. I recommend you use the longer OPT time you have to get as much experience and work credits as you can and start thinking about your O1B application 6-12 months before your OPT ends.
Hey, man! Thank you for the video! I was wondering if you'd know or at least think this could work for a Video Editor, who's working for a big RUclips channel, I haven't gone to school for editing, but I have many years of experience and mainly working with clients in the US.
That depends on the credits that you have as a video editor and the level of renown you can prove. I don't think it has anything to do with where you went to school :)
hey thanks to share your experience so i want to ask you was like spent enormously money for your music career so this money made yourself? or help your parents?
the whole process from the start of the application was from April to July, then I received the approval letter about a week after I filed (I did premium processing)
Hi! Thanks for share your experience. My question is how did you find and sponsorship in the US, and how is the process of build your work schedule planning (is it a "general" planning?, or you have to be specific about the places where you will work, specific people, jobs, etc) I'm still feeling stuck with the visa process, in my case as an actor, so that my questions! Thank you very much.
My petitioner is a colleague and friend of mine, I just asked him to sponsor. The schedule has to be specific and supported by deal memos that contain every single detail: the employer, the job, your duties, dates and timeline, compensation, and anything else that might be relevant.
I'm about to start my master in music and I didn't know a lot about what you said. Thanks for this video.
Glad it’s helpful!
Thankyou for creating this video!
Thank you so much, JP. This was very insightful.
