  • Documentary from 1997 charting the lives of a fun fair family. The Wall family have been showmen for generations, based in Hook in Hampshire.
    The documentary features two generations of the Wall family, and the lives on the road attending events like Wickham Fair, Eastbourne and Gosport.

      Second that mate, I work for Anthony Harris of Pat Collins funfairs 14 seasons and that’s not county casual when I was 12 then I joined and I was 16 great life as you say if you’re tough enough for it.

      '60s on Blackheath fair with my Mum Vinnie Lee and Grandad John - Jack Lee..They used to travel with the Grays. Darts, air rifiles, coconuts.

      Paul I worked for the grays Terry and hollie,I think also worked for johnny iris,Tommy mecham,I used to go round the wall of death on the handlebars

    We did not 'work' the fairgrounds. We WERE the fairground. We the Roma and us the Roma Children the Chavvies we were the tarpaulin, the sparks of the dodgems, the candy floss.
