In places it sounds as difficult as Islamey. Especially that 4th movement. You play it very well! It's a piece I love too.

The opening thema of the fugue is soo lovely! I've just listened to the first movement only. The rest will be another time!

A lot of work, but a piece to live with. Well done!

50 years! Well - in my case, now about 50 minutes, shame on me! Thank you for introducing me to this very special piece...each movement contains very beautiful music indeed. The fugato in the beginning is truly unique. I'm not sure it "works" as a whole though - there are perhaps weaknesses in its form/structure, but I should listen to it several times more. I liked the second mvmt. the most.
It sounds like you have thoroughly worked out its style & intricacies...must have been terribly difficult to memorize!

I agree with you - it is a lovable sonata with many beauties, but it is not an unflawed masterpiece!

What an attractive music indeed! I feel very lucky that I can hear you play the second movement from this sonata in June! Thank you for your heartfelt playing, I love it. Your mother must be happy to hear this in heaven.
