It's only 97 miles south of Las Vegas. That’s incredible that you’ve been there. We had never been there and it was on our bucket list to go to Laughlin and we didn’t get there until 2021 and the bell had already closed. What great memories yes and if you haven’t already, please follow our channel. We do lots of interesting things that hopefully you would like, a new channel and just trying to get it going🥰
I heard the Colorado Ball is sinking is one of reason for it's closing I go stay at the Tropicana right across the street a couple times a year and the word was it's sinking
Its not sinking its just a building its not a boat and then building just has a pond around it.
I use to work at "Colorado Belle," from (1992-93) at the seafood restaurant, "Captains Food fare" on the 2nd floor. What a HORRIBLE place it was to work. Everybody hated everybody else, NOBODY got along, and Mngmnt DIDN'T give a damn about NOTHING! Which is why I only worked there a year! It was a HORRIBLE-WRETCHED place to work. It was owned by the 'Mirage' corporation.

I just yesterday spoke with an employee of the neighboring "Edgewater" Casino/Hotel (owned by the same company as Colorado Belle) and was told that it will be torn down and probably replace by a parking lot although personally, I don't see the need for one there (yes it is sinking and can't be saved economically -or maybe there is some tax advantage or something). If they get so busy that they need more parking, they might as well build another casino IMO. To that point, I was told by numerous employees that last weekend they were booked up full and all of the hotels across the river in Bullhead were sold out as well. No special date, just a regular weekend, so it is possible.
Thank you for all the great insight. We really appreciate it. We go to Laughlin once in a while we live in northern Utah, and when we saw the Colorado Bell for the first time it had already closed during Covid so we really wish we could’ve seen that operating. If you ever hear of a date that’s going to be demoed. Used to be a good casino but I guess they have sinking problems
And...the Moat was full of hundreds of Koi fish.
It did not close because they could not survive Covid. It was forced closed by the State because the entire building is sinking. Yes sinking.. The plumbing was all breaking and waste was flowing into the river. They did everything they could to save it, but without any luck.
That’s so sad
The Bell also is sinking into the River so that's the major problem with it not really Covid as many think, Golden Entertainment owns the Belle-Edgewater-Aquriuos Casinos.
