Because German soldiers were used to using the MG-3 (a variant of the MG 42) which had a very high firing speed, so if he kept pressing the trigger the bullets would run out in a few seconds. while the American machine gun, Browning, has a lower rate of fire but has a larger caliber than the MG-3. So the way you shoot is also influenced by the war doctrine philosophy of each country.

You’re not wrong, germany uses the mg3. Which is just a modern mg42. Very similar fire rate so they are trained to shoot bursts that are shorter in duration.

RoF of MG3 is lower than MG42 as it was deemed impractical, difference is created by different muzzle booster and springs in the bolt.
Also every MG3 has a second barrel and bolt, there is also a mitten with it to change a hot barrel... Which is by the way after 150 rounds in quick succession.

Для тех, кто не знает в чём фишка.
При стрельбе из немецкого пулемёта MG-3 инструктора рекомендуют бить очень короткими очередями (для варианта с сошками 2-3 выстрела, для варианта на треноге допускают более длинные очереди в 20-30 выстрелов) с максимальным восстановлением прицела.
И тут чувак по старой памяти как раз лупит с браунинга, как если бы это был MG.
