Wake up: Russia is Already at War with us

- Gen. Ben Hodges argues that those who fear "escalation" with Russia, if Putin were to be challenged by the West, are dead wrong. Rather by parading weakness and indecision, the US is provoking Putin to launch further aggression against Ukraine and eventually against America and its allies. If Russia were to triumph in Ukraine, the results would be horrific for not only Ukraine, but all of its allies. The winners, in the scenario of a Russian victory, would be China, Iran, and North Korea. It is critical that the West wakes-up to the danger-at-hand and takes immediate action to assist Ukraine in liberating its territory to their internationally-recognized 1991 borders.
The West's collective inaction, emboldening Putin and his dictator-allies, is putting the security of America and Europe in peril. A Russian victory would carry an unimaginable and incalculable cost to not only our wealth, but eventually the lives of our citizens. For those interested in a peaceful resolution of the war in Ukraine, that would guarantee a peace in the greater West, the best thing that can be done, right now, is to arm Ukraine to the fullest to show that we will not tolerate rogue dictators' aggression.
Gen. Hodges explicitly condemns the Republicans in Congress who are blocking aid for Ukraine and gives his views on the Trump Administration. However, in this interview, Hodges gives new insight into the challenges he himself faced in working with senior national security officials in the Obama Administration - many of whom are now occupying lofty positions in the Biden Administration. It was precisely these officials, with their perennial fear of "escalating" the situation with Russia, that led other decision-makers to erroneously believe that backing Ukraine would "provoke" a nuclear war.
General Ben Hodges, who commanded the US Army in Europe from 2014 until 2017, says that Western policymakers need to open their eyes to a hard truth: Russia is already at war with us.

💯💯💯 true
Why doesn't the US have a presidential candidate of the calibre of *Ben Hodges?*
Because they have an old fool, and a russian asset running for President.
Because US Democracy is dying.
Ben Hodges isn't a politician and won't mince his words or actions so that means some of his decisions would not be popular with certain voters. The last thing politicians want is a straight talker and particularly someone as eloquent and plain speaking as him.
Because these types are too smart to be stupid enough to be a President.😉
Because the political and social climate of Washington DC fosters pathological minds, meaning... the top players are always going to be pathological narcissists or psychopaths.
Brilliant by General Hodges. He seems like the only one who gets it. Other Americans are either slow on the uptake or just don't care.

I totally disagree with Ben Hodges. I ask him if he has read the book "On Thermonuclear War" by Herman Kahn? Why didn't we show strength against the Soviets during their 56 takeover of Hungry or their 68 takeover of Czech? Gen. Hodges' comments on Susan Rice are revealing. I had some brief interactions with her in Washington and found her to be highly ambitious and unpleasant to deal with. The problem is that Washington swamp does not want him. They didn't want Wesley Clark either. There is so much money going through Washington that certainly does not want a legitimate Supreme Court or legitimate officials in ANY BRANCH OF GOVERNMENT. And the takeover of our government has been total, in all 3 branches. Ben Hodges needs to be asked to advise in US Defence Dept. His analysis and decision making is what Biden's administration should be implementing. This is what defence leadership should look like. The Biden administraion did not find the better opposite oppinion.
The problem is in the diffrent undesrtandings of the political approch in US.
The explanations of Leslie Graham for the Pentagon represent one word only - the replacement.
The explantions for the American voters might be given by president Bident.
But president Biden plays with dalls for the american voters, according to the Fox news TV channel
So, American voters do not undesrtand, why American senators send the arms and ammunition of the Pentagon - to Ukraine completely.
Leslie Graham is highly educated person, but he expect the same level of undesranding from the American voters.

this was Russia at the Russian world map till February 19, 2014,
this is the Russian map of Russian Fedration in the April 2024,
and this is the Nato countries at the world map in April 2024.

The other misundesrtanding of the nessecity of the military assitance for Ukarine is inside Nato.
The world loved to look at the Nato exersises when the number of the oint forced exeeded 40000 in 2017 (?).
40000 is a hude number for the military exersised joint forces of diffrent level of training , General Hodges knows beter than anyone else today.
But the constant policy of Nato is a bi-annual "exchange" of the military forces inside Nato ranging from 170 till 2500 officers in one country. This Nato policy is behind public eyes.
Till the March fall of the politics of Isreal against the Hamas, the Biden administration could refer to the military assitance to Israel for the advocating the assitanse for Ukraine in the American TV.
But current Israeli Cabinet did not take correct steps for the own minister of defence, for the own director of Mosshad.
As a result of the speculative rethorics of the prime minister , the Isreali voters belive the director of Moisshad is an idiot, the minister of defence is child in the world military sciense.
The mlitary mishap with the Isreali hostages, with American, Briish, Austrlian hostages in the Gaza strip led to the agressive demands of Isrealies to make a practical steps by the Isreali Cabinet.
Natanyahu managed to verbally attack the Britishers, than American jewish due to own economical planning of the declared war against Hamas.
Of course, American Jewish, German Jewish and British Jewish do not undesrtand the own president in Isreal amid the number of the deaths from both sides.
The Arab world look at Isreali current cabinet as on the team of armed gang wich do not want to fulfill the casual promisses in the human rights area from October 8, 2023.
So, Amercan Senators can not justify the military assistance to the unpredicted Natnyahu, who uses IDF in own economical interests.
IDF conduct milirary operations daily . But IDF is unable to report on bealf of the prime mister, which stage they are at in the undefined efforts to defeat the dangerous Hamas organizaton in just 70 km from the border.
Now Biden can not refer to Isreal as the most wanted and reliable frind in the Estern Medeterian.
The light hope for Israelies, in March the Moshad found that Iranians are behind the Hamas.
The Isreali Cabinet discussed seriously, the Qatari TV channel that hold 20 journalis in Isreal, is danger to the natinal security.

However, I think nations have (collective) "souls" too: if America allows itself to be bullied out of Europe and thus internationally humiliated by Putin, as it apparently has accepted to be for now, then I'm afraid its psyche will eventually become depressed to a level not seen since the worst days of the Vietnam era. All US veterans should speak up, loud and clear. Their collective sacrifice for the cause of freedom, civilization and peace shall not be invalidated by RuZZian propaganda, Trump-ism and global indifference. Ben Hodges is right and all Western politicians should listen to him.
Looking forward to that EU becomes self-reliant in regards to defence - as the US can’t be trusted.
hahahahaha that will be a long wait. They will sell out to putin before they man up
the US has given hundreds of billions for EU defense and you are always ungrateful. disgusting.
@david7384 The US has also made billions, not just in the sale of weapons to all NATO partners, but also in ensuring the freedom to trade and influence Europe. Freedoms paid for in the blood of Allies in two successive World Wars. The cost of which, we the UK, only stopped paying back to the US in 2006. Sacrifices have been made not just by the US, but by all NATO partners. It wasn't just the US that fought and won the Cold War. Quite frankly, your hostility towards your European allies is ignorant at best and repugnant at worst. Your defence is our defence. Were it not for a free, democratic Europe, as much as the US, you would have our mutual enemies at your borders, not ours. Of course we all need to do more. Now is not the time to squabble about who pays most. Try telling that to Eastern NATO allies who have seen hundreds of thousands slaughtered by Russia in the defence of Freedoms we ALL enjoy.
@@david7384 That is true David, however people in Europe are looking at your speaker and the undemocratic and unpatriotic way he is pandering to Putin and placing Ukraine in grave danger.
@@david7384 Europe spent lives and billions in Iraq and Afghanistan. The defence industry has benefitted from Europe. Europe is supposed to support the US agenda concerning geo politics. You can call Europeans for stupid but not ungrateful.

Common sense for brains diluted by cocaine.😂😂😂

What a brilliant speaker General Ben Hodges is! I never get tired of watching his interviews!!
Ben for president 👍
"We need to rediscover our strategic spine..." Exactly.
Imagine a scenario where a presidential candidate in the US wants to pull out of Ukraine support within 2 weeks, combined with an acting president who can't see a gain in winning the war in Ukraine for his campaign to be re-elected.......Our problem is: This scenario is reality ! I think I know what causes this schizophrenic set up and one could detect a strategy in this bipartisan initiative. Ultimately the US will act, but profit desires have not yet been fulfilled. I am German and if I was to judge on massive US economic investments in France and Germany across the past years, one realizes that those who roll the dices in the US, know exactly what they are doing. We can debate forever and a day - nothing will stopp the plans of global elites. As Clinton once said: 'It is economy that matters, stupid.' or phrased differently: Business is war - and vice versa !
Gosh I love to hear someone with sense everything you say is true 👍

General Hodges insights are actually not just crystal clear, logically coherent and a voice of reason, but as such pretty simple and straight forward. And that’s the unfortunate side of this whole debate: while the problem at hand isn’t complex whatsoever, but rather clearly definable, we in the West treat it as the exact opposite and are mapping it with unnecessary complexity and fuzzy solutions. Simple and straightforward doesn’t mean it’s easy, it just means there are a defined set of solutions which can and should be applied. But instead we are doing almost anything else. And General Hodges reminds us in a broken record type of way, that this doesn’t need to be the case. I am sure, it’s a very frustrating exercise for General Hodges.
Exactly, to the comment below. He is spot on every single time I hear him. And I'm jolly glad you put the interview right General Hodges about who is supporting Ukraine. For info, you could watch Artur Rehi today (March 10)..who has analysed Putin's public contradictions. Amusing and again, spot on.
I try not to miss any opportunity to hear gen. Hodges thoughts.

The general populations of countries do not profit from wars - shareholders in big commercial corporations, political 'elites' and their enablers make profits out of such disasters and always have done. So who is profiting from the conduct of those making decisions that are dragging out this war by hamstringing Ukraine!
Interesting
USA’s military defense industries want Russia to remain as a threat to the USA and the USA’s fossil fuel industry want contracts with Putin to drill in Russia’s Artic region. And the USAs Evangelicals want Russia as the USAs closest Allie because they’re fascists and White.

We are doing everything driven by our fears and speculation. When does it stop.
Seems like the whole world 🌎 is a threat to us
Apparently, the man who later become Mahatma Gandhi was a stretcher bearer at the battle of Spion Kop in the 2nd Boer War. It's not clear whether it was he or a Boer who asked a British officer who was directing the collection of the British dead whether the waste was worth it and when it would stop. The British officer replied "You understand that for us, it is always like this". The point being that, maintenance of an empire or extensive overseas interests (one might say "Making America Great"), requires the continuous commitment of resources, including lives. If the USA really does not want to play that part (which has seen unrivalled prosperity at home and, by and large, generally good security worldwide), it should say so unequivocally. If it did, the next 100 years would not be pretty.
Well said Ben Hodges!!!!!!!!!!
Just the best Gen Hodges.

Agree.
He said it in 1999, that the demise of the Soviet Union was a mistake that needed to be 'corrected'. All his actions ever since should be seen in that light. For some weird reason we chose to stick our heads in the sand and let him pull the wool over our eyes.

Who would believe that? Wake up Russians are Russians not stupid!
*In February 1948, George F. Kennan's Policy Planning Staff said: "[W]e have about 50% of the world's wealth but only 6.3% of its population. ... Our real task in the coming period is to devise a pattern of relationships which will permit us to maintain this position of disparity."[end of]*

Brilliant man! He's spot on!
Again, I 100% agree. It's like I'm hearing myself speak. It's as obvious as can be that a very, very clear message needs to be conveyed to Russia that they have crossed an essential line and that they have no business in Ukraine at all. It is simply not their country and any disputes within that country need to be addressed by them, not the Russians. The Donbass used to be a wealthy area, which is why they wanted more self rule. Now it's all dereliction without any future, because Russia doesn't really need it. They have more than enough of those resources from other area's.
Putin has opened the box of Pandora and he won't be able to close it again. Eventually it will cost him his life.
It will cost Russia far more than putin can ever pay. It is even likely that Russia itself will cease to exist.
That's exactly why you are disliked in the world. You think it's right to warn someone, to give instructions. Who did you ask when you bombed Belgrade and destroyed Yugoslavia? The phenomenon of Putin is that he doesn't care about your warnings. He is pursuing his own policy. And the Russians are not afraid of you. I hope you have the sense not to experience by example how the Russians are fighting..
Gen Hodges should be president of USA! He’s got the brains and lots of knowledge about how it should be done! 👌
The US needs a president of this caliber.
Wrong
The only thing that has kept Russia inside Ukraine is their masterful manipulation of the information space (maskerovka). Until we learn to interrupt/nullify this, the US is going to continue the same course, unfortunately. While General Hodges can logically show how this reality is playing out, it cannot undo decades of mindless 8 second blips, tweets, replies, etc. Our military/government needs to find a way to sway people's opinions! And that's a tricky thing to do in a democratic space.
Maskerova is a myth, lack of political will is fact!!....
Yeh but many people in the west hate their own governments and believe that Putin was provoked by NATO,Ukrainian nazis etc. How do you convince Trumpists and the far right in Europe?
You're very right about the sanctions which need to be monitored and punished when not followed up
Who is the USA to sanction anybody they do not like! They are illegal! Do you see anybody else in the world sanction anybody? Shame
