Great thanks for the video. You explanation will help alot of people. FYI: You can as of just recently buy these cables that are already made with a click button that essentially does the same thing as your needle. The cables are available on Amazon for about $10 its called a Deep Flash Cable for open port 9008. This cable will resolve issues such as flashing the wrong firmware, no recovery, and unlocking, unlockable bootloaders.

Great video! I'm pretty sure I did something very similar last week, as far as trying to recover a rom with the wrong TWRP version but fortunately, I didn't have to go through this. Somehow, I removed my OS but the PC still recognized the device, allowing me to re-flash the ZUI firmware. I am definitely adding this video to a special folder in the event this ever happens to me!

Can anyone please help me with this weird situation? Device got disconnected while flashing via qfil. Now no zuk logo nothing. Phone vibrates every 30 sec that's it. Wont even gets recognized by my laptop(no 9008 or 900e port!)

I was about to try and flash the custom rom on a zuk z2 for the first time, I installed the drivers on my pc and assumed that I had to reboot the phone to access the fastboot mode (apparently it has to be done by some command while plugged in the computer). When it was powered off and plugged to the pc I just tried to turn it on while pressing volume up and power and it just didn't turn on anymore. Not even an led light. It is weird because I feel it could have happened any time should I have pressed any of the volume buttons by mistake while turning the device on... Any idea how to unbrick it?? The only thing that makes me feel it still can be saved is that my pc does make a sound each time I plug it in with the usb c cable and another sound when I unplug it.
I have tried flashing the official rom anyway even though it cannot really get to fastboot mode using QFIL but I got an error message (it says Qshara or something like that).
I am facing the same problem now. Help me

Kes Hab try to flash twrp again via fastboot then twrp recovery open again. Now you can flash any custom rom or can restore previously backed up stock rom. You can google it how to flash twrp via fastboot.

hi all, does this method work on water damaged phone? my zuk z2 plus dropped in water and it wont start, i've tried keeping it in rice bag for 72 hours, then i tried to start, it doesnt show any signs of active, so does this method work? i need the data in the phone! please help!

You cant boot into fastboot.
That happened to me before. Try reflashing twrp.. Otherwise flash stock firmware.

To help poeple Chris emphasise that if the Qualcomm Com port shows correctly and qfil does not work they are using wrong ROM. I spent hours until I figured you cannot install ZUK Z2 Pro ROM which uses UFS with ZUK Z2. You have to select Emmc in QFIL and find a ROM with emmc firehose. Unfortunately that seems to be Andriod 6 only.... at least I unbricked my phone even though the SIM card now does not work. Hoping a flash to Jaguar will fix that as my radio is for Andriod 7.
Also you do not need special USB Cable if QualComm com port is shown and is being detected by QFIL utility.
mine is showing usb not recognised or 900e, any help. mine is dead for more than a week. does usb 2 or usb 3 port make a difference. hope you will reply.

LineArc Creations if you get 900e that's good. Keep those wires touched. Keep the phone connected to pc. And power off the phone i.e pressing power button for a while till the phone vibrates.
Then after 3-4 second after power off untouch both wires. Itll go to 9008.

tried everything, coould go into 900e quite easily but cant get it to 9008 even with the cables methods. need your help dear. I also cant post on zukfans, first I was not able to register on zuk which i finally did with tapatalk but now I cant post on zukfans. help me in any way if you and resurrect my z2.

Hey, maybe you could help me: I have entered the FFBM in fastboot.. now my phone stucks at loading screen.
1) Fastboot works
2) TWRP works
-Phone appears as phone storage
3) Doesn't see device in adb
4) EDL doesn't see device

Clarification:
I was using QPST from zukeu posts.
The standard method with holding volume down then power for 0,5 sec and connect it via USB to PC, doesn't work (I get the longer vibration as I should but then after a second I get the screen (5 sec waiting or push volume buttons - then menu where I can choose fastboot or recovery)
I have tried other roms - same trouble, I know that I have to go back to stock to fix it.

bharath teja in this case you must use deep flash cable or use this method on video and flash your rom using qfil.
there's no need to buy any deep flash cable....just plug in the bricked(dead) phone and press (volume up + power button) simultaneously...keep them pressed while connecting the cable to pc until you boot into fastboot mode i.e port number 9008(com7) appears in QFIL.... now simply use Qualcomm Flash Image Loader (QFIL) to load your firmware.....

ankit if your boot loader is unlocked then your mention technique will work. Some time bricked phone go to edl mode it self but when your bootloader is locked no any button combination for edl will work...
I don't want to deal with all of this... with that thought, should i even consider this phone? I just want to take the phone from the box, and then use it. That's all... Oh yeah, i have a budget of 250 USD
+Dat Little Boi if you follow my "flash stock firmware" video you'll be fine. You don't have to use roms.
