The animation team in this game was on fire! So Expressive, so many secondary actions happening all over the characters movements! It isn't like, "realistic" as if it was just rotoscoped, it looks like an actual cartoon from Disney or something like that in the Anime style! Movements so expressive and Stylized! So good!

This game is dripping with personality. Art and animations are off the chain too, as expected from Hoyoverse.

"as expected from Hoyoverse" in my opinion quite the opposite, i can't believe that this is HoYo, this is just to creative and full of soul for them. I have a theory that ZZZ is a passion project and that this is, a real HoYo, but even to me, it sounds like mostly cope.

I feel like hoyoverse is really setting a new standard with their games, how good 3D anime games can look and feel. I feel like a lot of other 3D anime game can never get the animations quite right and I hope more studios are motivated to put more budget into the animations after they see all the cool stuff hyverse is putting out :)
I mean arcsystems has done that already I feel, but I will agree this looks good in comparison to alot of other anime titles.

yeah,the bouncy effects when they move is so satisfying and it gives me cartoony vibes even though the animation is 3d and its suprising how facial expressions here is more lively than other games they made because most of the movement and facial expressions on genshin isnt that bouncy and doesnt has that much personality in my opinion
They'll still make the same live service games that sadly do will in their main markets (asia) to the others. These ain't too different from run of the mill "anime girl" and what not too come on now. The vibe is cool don't get me wrong but remember the type of live service "games" they make.
I feel like they have it a bit easier because they use a very over simplified style for their characters, compared to other anime games, so they are easier to animate.
They also have much more money, so this level of quality is the bare minimum for a company like Hoyoverse

I love how each Mihoyo game has its own distinct animations.
They know how to make games with soul
At the same time tho you can tell it’s a mihoyo game, there artists are so good. Like they make the characters feel lifelike and not lacking soul like other companies whilst having distinct style game to game, but not too different so you can tell it’s mihoyo.
Not really distinct very basic these could have been left overs from any of their others edited to fit what ZZZ is going for surely a common game design thing but still.
@@M4TTYN Well they have the same base character design (maybe cuz theyre gonna go for the hoyoverse imaginary tree aka multiverse) but still have thematically distinct character designs. Sure Raiden and Ei look EXACTLY the same as Raiden Mei but you could still tell which game they come from based on their character design theme (base outfit).
This animation is next level, like fr it’s better than a lot of anime style games.

My guess is that they used some unique engine or heavily tweaked ones. Games like Bandai all look similar with over the top reflections and lighting but Genshin, ZZZ and Honkai to an extend look SOO clean
@@LordOfel In some press releases and Honkai behind-the-scenes vids, they’ve shown that they use Unity for all their projects, but sky’s the limit on what plugins and mods they’re running.
@@Pandaalifter true unity is amazing in a lot of ways. But honestly I'm just amazed how well these games run considering unity's limitations in terms of performance.

@@crushedbananaz8012 I think Genshin is a game that are just one of their tests, but at the same time a serious one, because man they have improved a lot. Compare ZZZ to honkai, holy shit
@@crushedbananaz8012 that's because the lips are synced to the chinese audio. however, i've noticed on my alt account that they're slowly syncing the lips to the other dubs. i noticed that the JP dub of the early quests match the lip movements perfectly

I have a "complicated" view regarding Hoyo and their games but in terms of art, be it visual and music, they're top-notch.
Same, in terms of the artistic side of things, Mihoyo is way up there.

3D animation fills in any amount of in-between frames between the keyframes, it's basically tweening.

@@mneech609 Well, some of the effects like the flashes during ultimates or some flat 2D particles are probably drawn, but those are either static themselves or flash briefly, so it's not really relevant.

I really like how they fit so much content into the same video. You get bombarded with information in such a way that if you want to get it all you got to replay the video and/or stop it. It's clearly made for youtube/streaming rather than traditional ads, which to me is crazy that not more people have done up until this point.

This studio just gets better and better with each game. So excited to play this
I personally love the aesthetics of Tower of Fantasy but final taste on its overall feels a bit dull. This is when ZZZ comes in and steps it up with miHoYo's supreme quality flavour and extreme art standards. Just hope we can get higher resolution textures so we can enjoy our hard earned gatchas without seeing huge pixels even at conversation distance than in Genshin and of course 120 FPS.

Hoyoverse yet again brings the anime asthetics to a new height. In 2D anime and Dysney cartoons, there are many techniques to creates a visual illusion of fludity and impact even with very low framerate. But vast majority of fully 3D animes today fails miserably in the 2D to 3D transitions: unbearable visual stuttering and rigid, lifeless character models. But this game show how 3D anime really should look like.
I like how you have to pause the trailer to read character introduction text instead of being given half a second longer to actually read it.
