This is probably my favorite song Toby has made, I became absolutely obsessed with it after I heard it for the first time. What you’ve done here is absolutely wonderful. I’ve been having a rough past few days and I am so so grateful youtube recommended this to me. It made me so happy to hear one of my favorite songs interpreted so beautifully. Just vibing to your beautiful music for almost 7 minutes was exactly what I needed today. Also I was not expecting the vocals to come in at the end there, I smiled SO big when that happened. Amazing work!!! (I’m also a flute player so I enjoyed the flute parts especially :))
I've always loved jazz, been a fan of the genre for ages. I think the first cover of yours I ever listened to was Turnabout Sisters from Ace Attorney, and I've been hooked ever since. I bought all of your albums when they dropped on Google Play, I went to your panel on Music Theory at PAX East, and your music has gotten me through some difficult times in my life. You're an inspiration, Carlos. Somehow, this upload didn't cross my radar. I gave it a listen for the first time a few months ago, and like many, the vocals were an unexpected yet welcomed surprise for me. Something about them stuck, and came calling through my head as I couldn't sleep last night, so I gave this track another listen. Its message rings true especially in today's trying environment: Don't ever give up hope. You have a gift, Carlos. And I hope you continue to use your gift to the best of your ability, no matter where life takes you.

Alix Roussel Oh. Nvm I’m dumb
I have no idea why this popped up in my recommended again, but I'm glad it did! Listening it with better headphones, I really noticed those kick-ass flute backgrounds. Keep up the good work!
Well, thank you for listening to it! Those flute parts were a pain to record, but I’ve improved a lot at flute since recording these parts back in November of last year! Can’t believe it’s been that long, really...
The more I listen to this the more I fall in love. Your instrumentation has gotten insanely good over the past couple years, like compare this to the old round of undertale covers and the difference is incredible
Also I really love the sax run at 3:31 :D
Didn't expect to hear you singing in this one, amazing job! Hope you enjoyed Deltarune!
When those vocals started I thought I would cry, sing more often!
1:05 is so perfect. All of the music is just perfection
5:35 got to be the smoothest deltarune theme ive ever heard
I just realized the flute part at 3:31 is playing One Upon A Time from Undertale. you really like hiding callbacks, I love it
I've always loved jazz, been a fan of the genre for ages.
That police siren in the end was such a good touch. Love your music as always.
I still come back to this from time to time.
This cover is such a beautiful thing
I love this part uwu 1:35
*FLUTES*
I NEED to add this song to all of my Spotify playlists!!!
Carlos, I beg you: please this one to your Spotify!
I was thinking where is the jazz* and then 5:20 kiss my ears
Melody geeks you have to make this one too.
I love the bass on that part
I guess calling this just a "jazz cover" is a bit of a misnomer, it's certainly jazz influenced!
parts like 5:20 is what I would consider your music signature and to be honest what make me subscribe to your channel a few years ago with a cover of Corridors of Time. excellent work Carlos, keep it up bro.
I guess you could call it Acid Jazz
I'm with you in the dark, it breaks me when I hear those words thank you so much
I've listened to this countless times because of the way it makes me feel. This may be my top 5 favorite covers from you, Carlos. Never change :)
...omg u can play flute. I'm not alone anymore ;-;
This arrangement is such an epic journey! Truly astonishing work Carlos!
You’re so talented, I literally cannot even imagine the amount of work this took to create. I have so much respect, it sounds amazing!!!! Thanks for this!
that first walk down at 3:06 knocked the wind out of me and i'm living for it!!! fantastic cover!
I won't lie, it gave me goosebumps the moment you sang the credit theme from chapter 1. Fantastic funky jazz cover, and may the power of the fluffy boy shines with you (he'll be there when you're in the dark).
Agh, Carlos, you have done so much to get me through some rough studying nights, and this song feels like an apt anthem for that. Thanks for sharing your passion!!
Holy crap. He plays so many instruments. He plays so many instruments WELL. What am I doing with my life honestly smh
I felt like that too man. I felt like that too 😔
If it makes you feel a little better, saxophone and flute are very similar.
Literally a one-man orchestra.
But yeah, if you're obsessed and insanely good with one thing then you usually miss out on a lot of other things.
Never too late to start!
Checker dance would be amazing
Also Hip Shop
It would!
*_K._* *_ROUND_* *_INTENSIFIES_*
This song and your performance shook my heart. This is the first time you played the flute in this clip, but it sounds so good that you played various instruments well. Thank you so much.
What a groovy track, and also very emotionally stimulating. The flute is just an amazing addition, as well as the unexpected vocals when I first heard this. Excellent!
Hold on... HOLD ON
WAIT OKAY listen to 2:16. Is t just me, or is the flute basically playing what the strings play in the beginning of Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There?
Those parts sound quite alike yep
I just want to take a moment to mention that this game is just one and a half years old, and everyone has already forgotten about it.
Man, what a year have the last three months been.
My Dungeon Master is using some of your music in our little Homebrew game, and it sets the atmosphere so well. You're a real good musician, and it helps the immersion.
6:15 This is the police, you're under arrest for playing Jazz without a license.
Dude, the modulation at like 4:34 gave me flashbacks from the end of my first pacifist route where the key modulates as you're talking to the different monsters- I just got some *dang* hard chills, man.
