She finally accepted that she was the one true host of the Phoenix force. Once she did that, she was able to accept 100 percent of its power. In a way she became a god.
Exactly! People don't understand how powerful she became once she TRULY merged with the Phoenix Force. Jean in the comics scales around high universal-low hyperversal but Jean with the phoenix scales around Outerversal-Omniversal/ Nigh Omnipotent
She became someone who is Above even gods❤️🔥

What a lot of folks tend to forget about Phoenix is that she isn't just a Destroyer. She destroys what needs to be destroyed so that other people and worlds can thrive. The reason she keeps going for Jean throughout the comics is because Jean is; for all intents and purposes; the Human form of the Phoenix, making Jean the perfect Host for the Firebird, since they balance each other out when they aren't fighting one another for control.
You know what I find funny about this? Vuk didn't know just how powerful Jean actually is. Some 20 seconds into the clip Vuk figures out she doesn't have what it takes to hold the Phoenix.
0:17 I love how Vuk is strangling Jean but Vuk looks like the one in pain while Jean is serenely calm
Because she realized she can't take the Phoenix force that was too powerful for her
Facts and I love that Jean likes to be choked lol
Vuk was burning
God. This film doesn´t deserve half the criticism it gets from some people. Just like Daft Punk´s score was a perfect fit for the world of Tron: Legacy, Hans Zimmer´s music is perfect for films like this one. I can feel it in scenes like this with the colours and magic on screen being represented by the music. I got chills when Jean lifted the entire train. And score aside, the rest of the film was a fun blast too. 9/10 Superhero blockbuster, with great action, stop taking things so seriously.
Hans Zimmer stunning as always..

Shes jessica chainsmoker, " so phoenix pull me closer "

😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's actually kinda impressive that you inexplicably had 2 shots at adapting Dark Phoenix (this time as the director and screenwriter) and made someone else the biggest antagonist in both tries.
Actually both film adaptation had to be altered because someone didn't agree with the depictions or endings
I love how she portrayed the Dark Phoenix when the phoenix force joined with Jean she became engulfed in human emotions and she did for a time act like a deity above everyone with the body language of "you're wasting this goddess's time" when attacking enemies. Even though the plot was not what it should have been what with mystique dying or mystique being a Gen Z feminazi or Beast and Magneto trying to kill Phoenix, it was a relatively good movie.
Jennifer was done with her makeup so they killed her and the entire transgender (you know X-Men, former men, once men, alright I'll stop) series.
"Feminazi" lmao some lil incel doesn't get laid much, eh?
Jean like: Absorb MY power? Here I'll start you out at 5% and we'll see if there's anything left after.
Even when the villain goes to pull away, Jean grabs her wrist *and pulls her back in* as if to say "nuh uh, you want it so badly? Then fucking take it like you want." and jerked the hand back to where it was before, keeping it there.
Even though this was first time seeing this scene, I saw that shot as it was and that is awesome.
Jean is the only one who can house the full phoenix force (untamed) without shattering her physical body, any other hosts only got a portion of the force. I think the director's idea of that glowing veins shows how powerful that force is, it's almost like it's leaking out of her body. This just shows how strong pre-dark phoenix jean is as well that she was able to withstand the raw power.
In this scene, Vuk got incinerated and Jean finally accepts and merge with the phoenix and will be reborn as wpotc.
So...Scott is being burned by the force, but instead of stepping away from it, stays there. That's some screenwriting there.
I get your point, but I think once the power was harming him it also somewhat froze him in place. If that's the case then it's not represented well.
Maybe because he loves Jean?
lol.. that’s called love.. you don’t simply run away from the people you love, just because you are hurt
It is weird but I like to think he wanted her to see what its doing to him. The whole point of this scene is that she can't control it all the time and she'll keep killing her friends
hans zimmers ost + this scene is just beautiful yet sad
the phoenix is only one in the multiverse and Jean is THE ONLY ONE perfect match to it! she will forever lives and when she's the phoenix of the white crown, she can be a good match to the living tribunal....

So does that mean in this timeline Jean is dead?
@@crostgibson905 Watch Logan, and the X-Men likely including Jean Grey is dead because of Prof. X having destructive telepathic seizures.
@@crostgibson905 You posted about Jean being alive in Days of Future Past. Well, so were the other X-Men in that same scene. They weren't all specifically stated to have died either.
Who stated, exactly that Jean Grey was one that stayed alive after Prof. X's telepathic seizures?
Except you implying that she did survive and likely became the White Phoenix of the Crown, which also was not confirmed. Until there is any information to the contrary, it is presumed any main X-Men members not seen was killed off.
@@crostgibson905 If Jean was great and all, then why would she even leave, after Charles killed most of the X-Men. Her character would look for a way to heal Xavier. Heck, the WP of the Crown can literally create a universe. Surely, she can heal one mutant telepath suffering from seizures. LOL this is the only way an woman's emotions can be a overt positive, both in the world of fiction and even then it destroys you... Got to love the symbolism here
@o8byrner08 We are all created via the union of man and woman not a woman's emotions, we are also not molded by a woman's emotions we are molded by the structure and boundaries set down and enforced by our fathers. While a woman's emotions are an important part of that process they are only important to the degree of learning what not to do in our lives instead of what to do. The "symbolism" I was really referring to here is the fact that Jean Grey in incapable of controlling the power she wields on her own, and that only through the guidance and friendship like Professor Xavier (men) is she able to finally channel that chaos (her emotions) towards something more productive like killing the aliens. That symbolism is poetic to the extent that even a mutant as powerful as Jean still needs the guidance of a man like Professor X and the friendship (the boundary) that is the X-Men. You get an "A" for effort on your thought process though it simply is wrong...
@o8byrner08 While fundamentally correct but you are missing the fact that children after a certain age (this has been argued by many sources but the most agreed on is the 8th year) that the father holds a higher "value" in the development of the child. Don't get started by quoting statistics revolving around other species as only humanity has emotional intelligence enough to identify a specific emotional. Going back to the upbringing of a child for a second, the father is universally seen as the "provider", and provider being far more that the provision of resources. Provider in the form of structure and boundaries which are vitally important for the growth of a young mind. The aforementioned emotional symbolism is a testament to the chaos that female emotions play are multiple fronts included but not limited to relationship bonding with a partner but also bonding with a child. So my observations on that still stand as in today's world far more mothers are less "in tuned" with their parental paragative than in most all the years in the past. And I also think it's cute that just because you have an education that is equal to my own with a doctorate in psychology and two masters one in sociology and behavioral science from the University of Missouri that your assertions or opinions have higher gravity than someone else's. If you like I would love to debate with each of us using our own sources and scientific studies to attempt to prove our respective points. But the original topic was the symbolism of Jean Grey's lack of control versus real life and the chaos brought on by a woman's emotions that go unchecked. Message me on my email if you would like a debate. I love debates. And yes you still only get an A for effort as your education you stated isn't any greater than my own and likely with me being in my mid 50's I would also argue I have more life experience to boot. Either way my email is waiting, I am retired so I do love a good debate. Cheers
Why do u consider a woman’s emotions to be less important than a man or less controlled, do u really thing women are that week or it just a facade you put up so you don’t have to be afraid of your own feelings, I don’t want a fight if I’m being honest I pity you. I hope you manage to grow past just aging and learn to accept your emotions and those of the men and women around you instead of dismissing women’s value
@@nocturnaliance6684 You seem to be on the younger side. I come with 66 years of experiences, and those experiences have been further reinforced with not only scientific fact but observation. But if you wish to pity me by all means feel free. Feeling pity for someone is all good and fine and while I respect your view point, it is flawed, and allow me to tell you how. You say, "do u really thing women are that week or it just a facade you put up so you don’t have to be afraid of your own feelings...". This is a proven tactic of the uninformed or the emotionally inept to attempt to devalue fact with emotion "word salad". And it is likely charged with your own personal feelings on what I said.
As my name suggest I am a male. And as a man I can comfortably say men have emotions, but what most women lack that most men have in abondance is "emotional intelligence" and "Emotional Control", where as most women lack any controls at all as they live life, for the most part, driven by emotions. Should a man attempt to do this he ends up frankly a loser and a drain on society. Allow me to expand on what is considered "emotional Intelligence" as I can already hear your little fingers typing a response. Do you know what happens when a man lacks control over his emotions? And lacks true intelligence and thus understanding of his emotions? They become murderers, "grapists", molesters, playboys, users and abusers. Look inside any prison in the world and you will meet men that lack controls over their emotions. Now thankfully that is less than 5% of the global population of men that have this disability mind you.
Now what happens to a woman who lacks emotional control? She simply blames it on that one special time of the month that all REAL women have till they hit 55 or 60. Now you also said this, "I hope you manage to grow past just aging and learn to accept your emotions and those of the men and women around you instead of dismissing women’s value." Oh sweet child, first of all you know nothing of what you speak of, and like most "keyboard" warriors you are utterly ignorant of blind/deaf/dumb to how the real world is. As stated I am older likely than your father. I am a widower from a glorious 39 year long marriage, i have four successful adult children and five grandkids. my youngest is my daughter. And thank god I raised her right to not be an emotional pin cushion that women tend to be now-a-days to use that emotional baggage to beat their husbands with anytime they don't like something. And I have lived more life than you could scarcely fathom but I thank you for your well wishing.
In closing little one, I don't dismiss a woman's value at all, not do I diminish their accomplishments, nor their utter importance to society. What I do do is keep things real. Women and universally ruled by their emotions. That is fact, not opinion. Now I have some hopes for you to think on. First and foremost, if you have honest heart felt critique then I and most people would welcome it. But you my dear sir/ma'am did not present that as anything more than an emotionally charged attempt to rebuttal what I said, to which you failed miserably. Secondly, I offer you to visit a large park somewhere. Central Park in New York is a great place, go there and just study people. There interactions, their choices, and attempt to understand them. This practice will garnish more incite of the complexities that is humanity. And finally, if you are going to keyboard warrior a ton of word salad like a woman, at the bare minimum. Make it something close to proper sentence structure. Now I made a ton of mistakes in this response on purpose cause I enjoy talking to the correction police that can be found on forums like this. Any who, cheers and tootles. And do/be better. I believe in you
