Madness is waiting for you... Here comes Event Horizon, a surprising great horror movie that completely blind sided me. Love movies like this. If you haven't already, check out Back to the Future, Alien 3, and The Andromeda Strain from earlier this week.
    Upcoming:
    Wednesday - Annihilation
    Thursday - Dune
    Friday - Gattaca
Saturday - Blade Runner / The Last Full Measure
    Sunday - Life (2017)
As always, full reactions and all the above can be found on patreon for anyone who wants to help me out. :)
    Have a good day y'all.

You really have to also do Blade Runner 2049.
      I would also suggest
Dredd (2012) It's criminal this film didn't do better and get a sequel.
The new Total Recall (2012) even though people will not let go of the awful Stallone film from 1990.
Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets (2017) The same director as The Fifth Element. It also didn't get the release it should have.
I could go on and on but I'll leave it with these.

This movie scared the hell out of me and my family when we watched this on VHS! Lol! We didn't know what we were in for till we saw the first 10 minutes. Later on, we knew that the ship went to hell and back, quite literally, and that the rescue team must fight to survive before it's too late.

I had a copy of this on VHS and I watched the heck out of it! Cosmic Horror is always a good time for me.
Liking your idea deep dives after these intense movies.

"This movie is giving me serious Matrix vibes".
Well, the Matrix came out 2 years after Event Horizon.

the way teleportation worked in star trek , was , the body was scanned , and the mind , all is stored away and the original is disintegrated , then the person is recreated at the target site ! so every time the teleporter is used , the person id destroyed and recreated ! not a comfortable thought !

Event Horizon really minds me of Doom 3 and the Teleportation Experiments in the labs there opening a gateway to Hell.

Literally had that exact convo with some Jehovas witness guys a few days ago. They just looked at me like “this guy’s a lost cause. Next house” 🤣

@@MyNameIsKyle_Reactions LMAO. Yeah they'll do that. Love that you gave them the time though. I'm not gonna lie, those people kind of creep the shit out of me.
I think people more or less believe what they want to believe, at least on the surface. In my experience if you go a little deeper you tend to find people have more in common than you think (but not always, lol). All I'll say about a possible afterlife is either I can't comprehend not existing or I just don't want to. At any rate, I find it far more interesting (not to mention ultimately productive) to imagine your own personal Heaven than nothing. But if you want to get really spooky I don't even concede that it has to be one or the other, that you either have to "exist" after death or not. I can't imagine what that would be like any more than not existing, but that doesn't mean it's not true. And of course, even THAT doesn't necessarily make it bad. But I get it. These are complex questions and, whatever our answers, there are complex reasons for them.
Anyway, love your channel. Ever seen the original STARGATE film? I've never seen the show so I don't know what they have in common but that blew me away as a kid. What a concept.

That gory horror movie clip from computer memory - it was shot using porno/amputee actors. Director wanted it REALLY gory and realistic, so he found actors that could and would do that scene.

This is basically how space travel takes place in Warhammer 40,000.
40k fans are pushing this because it makes sense. It could also be the writer of this borrowed the idea from 40k since it predates this movie by 10 years. (created in 1987)
Ships pass through a hell like dimension known as the warp where demons reside. Ships have to be equipped with powerful shielding to keep them outside of the ship in transit. The movie would just be the first trip before humans knew the dangers.
If the shielding fails people get possessed, ships travel in time, land on demon worlds etc. Like all things in 40k it's brutal no matter what is happening.

Another enjoyable reaction. Could you try to make the volume of the movies you review a little louder? They are really hard to hear sometimes. Thanks.

I believe the likeliest scenario is oblivion after we die...non existence.
However, if I had my choice, no, that's not what I'd want.
But why does it have to be all or nothing as well?
My druthers would be to spend time after life reuniting with every person, every animal I ever loved. Experience every fantasy I ever dreamed...then after all is said and done...maybe several times over...when everything I've ever imagined has become rote and boring...I can choose to face away to oblivion.
Either that or there are infinite levels of existence, once one level is the explored completely, we move on to the next one and start over somewhere completely new and different.
So yeah, odds are there is nothing after this life... but there is just too much I know I'll never be able to do that I really want to do, that I hope there will be opportunity to do somehow and then be able to depart existence on my terms.
I also wanted to mention...I know you have a ton of movies lined up to get and I understand that any recommendations you get need to sit for a while until you get to it. That's completely fair.
The only thing is, there is this other movie called Pandorum that is like the spiritual successor to Event Horizon, I recommend it and suggest maybe you might want to bump it ahead a bit in front of the others.
    In any case, best regards!!!
