  • Oregon HC Dan Lanning explaining his thought process on defending FIB.
Must be able to travel the nickel & also have field/boundary calls.
Field call = must find way to even hat count
Favors 3 deep zone. Must have different calls (Sim Pressure) to disguise the coverage. coachtube.com/...

Why would you broadcast this? No other school gives an inside look at their thought processes on schemes and tactics.

I don’t think this is news to anyone in the CFP. I could be wrong but doubt he gave away any secrets.

You act like this is gonna give the opponents some secret formula to beat the Ducks. It’s basic concepts that any opposing coach worth his salt is going to know.
      Welcome to college football.

@KFBALL247 , it may be basic stuff, but to a strategist, if I can understand and deconstruct how you think, then I will be able to understand how you're likely to either attack or defend and respond accordingly. That, my friend, is basic strategic stuff.

???? What the hell the clips aren't even 3x1 to the boundary: playing the pressure with a locked pre snap call. Cloud the corner to the boundary/ keep the nickle/star to the field; bump your money.

ya it's weird how that nickle money cant cover the edge boundary with hooked laterals
