The first/debut episode of the OG MPi! This is where get to know the group almost immediately, on first impressions: TC as the muscles and leverage, Rick the weapons and ‘word on the streets’ info gather, Higgins the stern, ‘school’ regiment poser, as well carrier of thoughtful wisdom, and Thomas Sullivan Magnum, the heart and nucleus of the show… all around Ex-Navy intelligence Officer and special Ops member turned Pi, who also is an imperfect man, but possesses abilities to prevail in almost any situation. Great show and cast, entertaining, and at most, traditionally with all do good shows of its’ era, a thoughtful message… 80’s Magnum Pi forever! ❤️
A series where there are no special effects, sex scenes or vulgar phrases like in many films today. It is remembered and appreciated for the quality of the plot, Thomas' adventures and his friendly and energetic approach to life and his work. Another strong point is the friendship with Rick and TC which combined with Higgins' eclectic presence make everything compelling. Happy New Year
No need for that. As long as these keep showing up, I've got ya. Lol. Its one of my favorite shows of all time. I know them by heart. This was the pilot 2hr movie. "Don't eat the snow in hawaii" Dec 8th 1980 ( ugh)
Magnum definitely had flaws, which we all came to love... Like the way he was CONSTANTLY making amateur mistakes as he talked about writing his book on how to be a world class private investigator! Or the way he ALWAYS seemed to be in debt to Rick for things like his bar tab, and to T.C. for all the gas and bullet holes in his helicopter, or the way he was ALWAYS haggling with Higgins to borrow Robin's equipment and facilities, which he then often damaged or lost... And much like Rockford, Magnum almost NEVER gets paid for his work, or if he does, he never really comes out ahead after all the mishaps and disasters he has along the way. In short: Even though he hardly ever pays anyone back, his friends still always help him, because Magnum is such a straight arrow guy who always HAS their back! And one has to admit, there's something really appealing about the idea of a pauper like Magnum who still manages to live the high life and cannot be bought off or intimidated by those who are truly rich and powerful. Despite being poor, he always makes full use of what he has to fight for The Little Guy.

Nice one. Would be great if you could put the season and episode number to your uploads.

Thank you for these uploads!
Loved this show growing up. They don’t make them like this anymore.

Can you upload clips from Season 1 ep 5? That part when Rick calls Magnum and tells him to wake up.
Why the re-upload?
Ditto the comment Rhonda!
