    Crabs are my absolute favorite types of animals ever. Please do more crab / crustacean content.
    Specially id love something about terrestial crabs. I own few Metasesarma bidens, and have owned some geosesarmas. I just find fully terrestial crabs amazing creatures. :D

      @@thetraveler4493 there is wild caught crabs where they don't put mercury in (and there might be some farms that don't have mercury in them niether? I'll have to look that up)
      And micro plastics is not only in sea food, its in our drinking water, our land animals, and might be on our vegetation too

    Tasmanian giant crabs are pretty big weighing more than 18kgs. I was surprised to see one in real life didn’t realise how massive they were

    When I was in college, there was a garage for a private house on the shore road in West Haven, CT that had a Lobster shell mounted on the front above the door that was easily more than 4 feet in length. The Lobster must have been very old when it was caught. I can't imagine how much it weighed, but I suspect if they ate it, I suspect the meat may have been tough, but then I don't know.
    Thinking about it a bit more, it might have been only 3 feet in length, but the claws were each as big as a dinner plate. Huge creature!

    Correction...... coconut crabs and Smaller crabs with shells for protection are two different species........they are not the same.... though they both live and thrive in same environment....

    Are most, *if* not all, of these are edible? I’ve seen google articles and RUclips videos of the giant isopods being eaten. *Would* love to try eating a giant isopod.

    I caught by hand slipper lobster and what they call spine lobster when I live in Kwajalein Atoll for two years. They had no big pinchers but they were a good size and tasted great.

    I think you would do an excellent job doing five threatened or endangered animals of California. Ridgways Rail, California Red-Legged Frog, Salt-Marsh Harvest-Mouse, El Segundo Blue (butterfly), and Golden Trout are good picks. I sometimes share your videos with people and this would be a good one for CA conservation.

    Many years ago I was stationed in Guam, and my executive officer told us about the time he was younger and got a bit too inebriated. He actually tried to arm wrestle with a very large coconut crab. Cost him two fingers.

      Thank you for mentioning the Tasmanian giant crayfish, Astacopsis gouldi.
      As this species is probably the biggest freshwater crustacean in the world, growing to a length of 80 cm and a weight of 6 Kg, I had hoped this species would have been included in main part of the video, and not just as a single picture at the end.

    When I was a kid we did a field trip to an oceanic museum and man I remember seeing a crap that was almost five feet tall. Now as I got older and deadliest catch became a thing I thought well there’s no such thing as a crab that big. Just watched a documentary that showed a crap from the deep waters of japan and yup there is such a thing as a five foot tall crab.

    As far as I'm aware the world's largest lobster lives in Tasmania's freshwater streams....much bigger than the American lobster.

    While it wasn’t as heavy there was a lobster caught in Cornwall England that was 1.26 meters it was found inside a harbour wall as it was being taken apart

    The American lobster lives farther south than New Jersey. They are seen here in Delaware by divers. Their numbers are not great but they are here. During the spider crab part you said they eat corpses that float to the bottom of the ocean???
