So happy to finally meet my favourite Food and Culture RUclipsr in Singapore! Been a fan of his videos for past 2 years. Lots of information not just about the food but the history of each place he visited. This Chinatown video is no different! Always brightens up my day :) Positive energy!
CK, finally u come to SG. For Maxwell market fish soup, you should try.instead the one further down in the row. For chwee kuek, the best is tiong bahru chwee kuek not bedok. Instead of the wonton mee, u should try.Outram Park char kway Tiow. SG version is wetter than Penang.
Nice intro! Just some comments on the featured food. Fish soup not the best, better one is the corner stall facing URA. Should try the Ah Wang curry Mee at honglim hc. WTM soso thought got Bib gourmand
Hi CK. Thanks again for sharing. It was lovely to have met you whilst you were filming at Maxwell Food Center and you taking the time to have a quick chat. Hope to bump into you again somewhere and share a meal. :)
Thanks for this video CK, great timing! I'll have almost a day in Singapore on my way home to Canada so, I'll visit as many places and eat as much as I possibly can 😄. Like your conversation with the lady from the wanton noodle store 😜
Thursday I’m posting the light to tonight festival which will take place until 26 th January! U definitely wanna watch that happening now in the 🦁 city
Psst...for food skip SG, go to Malaysia. Just as good, but a lot cheaper and a bit friendlier. 😉 I am of the opinion that we are beyond 'Peak Singapore'.
Isn't a Chinatown in Singapore rather like the Catholic Quarter at the Vatican or the Muslim Quarter of Riyadh? 😉 SG Chinatown is too touristy and slick.

This sounds like an 'eat as much as you can from different hawker center' challenge. Hmmm wonder if it can be turned into a sport? :D Enjoy.
LOL Thanks!

Typical Malaysian.

Oh?
@@CKology ...and quite expensive. 😉
True
@@CKology I mean, after a filling portion of delicious tauge chicken rice for MYR6 (SGD1.85) in Taiping, chicken rice in SG feels like robbery.
😂 I understand
