yep as papi mentioned, you'll lose a lot of damage if you hold it as you want to maximise your buff uptime e.g. terms and condition (which only lasts 5 seconds). you only need to tap it to bind the boss so you can continue with your burst through rapid throw and spamming quintuple star

my combat power unbuffed is 6.5m from 25k LUK, 89% IED, 183% Boss
