    Hello. Great video, much thanks. I see other DIY videos where they finished off by bleeding the system via the OBD using ISTA+. They say not to try to prime the system via the ignition. Might I please ask whether they are correct?

    • @brarautorepairs
      @brarautorepairs 2 месяца назад

      You can prime it via insta because people are afraid of damaging the pump by running it dry. The lubrication is done via the fuel and it will run dry for a little bit. Tbh, I never primed it out of sheer lazyness to hook up Ista just to run the operation

      Same problem I have a 2013 x3 2.8i the thing is a piece of shit did an entire engine swap and the apparently the whole fuel assembly needs to be changed in this model there isn’t a solo fuel filter that’s accessible to change.

    Is necessary to lock the fuel circuit, not to loose fuel during the replacement?

    • @bmdubclub9933
      @bmdubclub9933 2 года назад

      Yes you want to minimize air in the system

      Sounds like high pressure pump failure

      I had metal particles in the fuel 160,000km. very common . it is recommended to change the diesel pump on all these 2L 163-197 hp engines. I had to change everything from the tank to the exhaust. I had to change: diesel pump, hoses and filter, EGR, turbo, nozzles and particle filter

    Does it need priming?

    • @SchmiedmannBMWspecialist
      @SchmiedmannBMWspecialist  5 лет назад

      Hello cdrseabee,
      When it is mounted, you will need to start your car a few times, where it will take a long time to start. Let the ignition turn on until it starts properly. We recommend to connect a charger to the car for this process.

      I have the same car, I did everything as shown in this video and it was enough to turn the panel on and off 3 times and then start, it turned the engine about 3 seconds and it started, I'm happy with this very explanatory video, unique on RUclips for the BMW f25, rather I would like to find a video on how to change the oil to the torque distribution Atc450 with 75W oil, because 'front has a bracket, which prevents access and remove it seems a bit' complicated , you can help both me and other Bmw F25 owners, if you show how to do it. Thank you and greetings

      Hello @@federicopuca1966,
      Thank you very much for your feedback, and also thank you for your suggestion to make a video on how to change the oil to the torque distribution - we will take it into consideration and if we get the chance to make the video, we will.
      Sincerely,

      @@SchmiedmannBMWspecialist how many times did it take to turn over the car (start attempts) before the car would start? I just replaced a fuel injector on f25 and car will not start.
