  • The age of 5G has arrived in tech. Then why not 5x engines? The new rotating engine is now 5 times better, yes you heard that right. Many people think that the standard and conventional internal combustion engines are some of the best. The famous rotary engine stands out as a truly unique contender. But even fans agree that these engines have some problems, like using a lot of petrol, not having much power, causing pollution, and having complicated lubrication systems. Here, we show you a way to get around these problems that comes from Liquid Piston, a company whose goal is to change engine technology.

Assuming There Is Such An Engine, It's Interesting But The Narration Is NOT! Why Repeat The Same Thing Just To Make Your Video Longer!?!

I very much prefer videos that do not repeat themselves.
    Otherwise, nice project.

the only TRUE "liquid piston engine" is the humphrey pump, that runs water as the piston...

    What is liquid there ?

It's just a name, but it sounds good, and is very distinctive,is it not?!
LOL, I'm guessing it was inspired by a "liquid lunch" brainstorming session.

The thing actually works; it saddens me that US military are the main beneficiaries though.
I can see how ultra light flyers, gyrocopters, small boats and cars, and outback utility vehicles would be good applications for it.
Question: why is it not being put into motor bikes? Is it because its optimum power band is above 5,000 rpm? The video says good horse power at 6.5K rpm, which would seem to indicate the need for really versatile automatic gear changing to reap the benefits of such a small engine.... Yes?

This video is full of repeats and not really showing the liquid piston in detail

Only the apex seal is explained. The rotor seal to the housing is another big problem with different expansion ratios.
Why i was watching this vid is not explained. or i skipped over it due to the endless repeats.

Can it have multiple rotors like the Mazda rotary engine which has two rotors? Are they all air cooled? Are they planning on a liquid-cooled version? Are they planning on a spark-ignition version? If so, will it have both a leading and a trailing spark plug, per rotor, like the Mazda rotary engine?

5G can offer low latency under 5 milliseconds, while 4G latency ranges from 60 ms to 98 ms. Lowe

Not sure why they are comparing rotary engines to radial engines. They are not even close to the same thing.

Lots of "Pete & Repeat", mixed with some MORE B.S.....l think it should be called a "demo-crap engine".

This is remarkably stupid. Liquid Piston is a joke.
