100% underrated considering he writes the majority of the material! Favorite guitarist by far!!! Met him and the guys 2 times and he is just as cool in person!
Gosh he is all grown up looking now! lol Not like back in 2011-2012 when I used to Skype with his mates in Nottingham lol Still remember how he was saying he likes Marmite (or Vegemite, cant remember) sandwiches. Cant believe it was 12-13 years ago now, time flies.
I also picked up the guitar heavily influenced by Dragonforce. But I can tell you, 13 or so years later, I still struggle with their solos. Although, I've never really committed to learning them. Can play just about anything but DF haha
Part of one of the greatest guitar duos (and both equally two of the greatest guitarists) along with Herman Li in modern metal. Dude is a champion. I’m mostly a bassist but his style inspires me to try new things even on that instrument.
Sam is such a great guy. I got to talk with him after a show here in the US at a bar about the lyrics in the song Razorblade Meltdown and about why there are Finnish swear words in it. Was a great experience.
DF’s best album of all time is Sonic Firestorm, but I love their more recent albums as well, they really are the greatest band in the world PS. Please come tour in Virginia, I hate having to drive either to Maryland or North Carolina to see DF
