Bryce, I am really falling in love with the Ace Pro. Bringing this instead of a GoPro or a heavy and expensive full frame camera… man. Shock resistant, water resistant, really nice lens for an action camera. And yes(!) a flip screen like in my camera. Pause and cancel is such a great reduction of files I will have to shift through. Love it. Audio seems to be really good too!!! Where did you say you were at again? Katie and I live in Indianapolis. Any where closer than the Smoky’s or Colorado to backpack hike and camp that looks that rugged would be an amazing treat for us.
This video was in Dolly Sods, West Virginia. I live in Indy too - I went there a month or so ago, it's about a 7 hour drive. Gorgeous country and worth the drive.
Goid lord, your list of trail mistakes is minimal compared to mine. Lol. But life threatening things aside, it is an endearing, seering way to learn. Thanks for sharing
I have a huge fear of losing my keys or wallet, so usually buy a zip key pouch and install it into my pack. Or, do what you do, put it in a bag, byry it in the pack, and don't touch it again until the end of the trip. Thanks for the video!
I've been following you since the early days and it was fun and interesting to see you progress to a very competent and experienced backpacker. I love tarp camping. In one of your videos about 2 years ago you talked about tarp camping and kept showing a Kalinco 3x3 tarp. You kept saying how heavy it was. It is. I have one. It's bulky. But you kept saying it's 9 foot by 9 foot. Not true. It's 9'8" by 9'8", which, of course, is closer to 10x10. Like you, I've never been rained on when I had that tarp. It appears to be a copy of the DD Hammocks 3x3, but I think the stitching is not as good. But, for $40, what do you expect? Thanks for the videos. Keep up the good work.
I am relearning my map reading skill, to me it's not just about not getting lost if power runs our or the phone breaks. I just think it's a damn cool skill to know. That and how to use a scythe 😅
Good list and reminder of small adjustments that can make or break a trip.
That camera looks really nice! Price is reasonable, too.

Glad to see more Bryce videos coming out lately. 👍🏻
Great tips! I love using Gaia GPS in offline, but I need to start practicing some orienteering more.
Bryce what ever happen to the Schill Brothers? Always look forward to your Colorado trips together.
Great video, thanks 🤝🏻
Tip 1 is spot on! I learned this the hard way. Ha
