What an incredible way to finish Smite 1 Pro League. Playing the Pre-alpha has me super excited for Smite 2 Competitive!
one of (if not the) best worlds of all time. I mean the story lines all felt so full circle from s7 worlds (which imo is another amazing worlds).
I mean Dardez, Nika, Cherryo winning with a reverse sweep (after losing from one s6 & s7)
PBM going win win lose lose win in grand finals (the exact lose pattern of s7 vs PK)
Lasbra winning on the Pele in the elimination game (having lost on it in his s7 elimination game)
Even vaporishcoast ending up on the dragons because of the changes that Genetics forced only to beat him in the finals. I mean I think that this was just such a worlds cycle, really an amazing way to go out.
You forgot to add having the most hated team in spl full of arrogant egotistical toxic people lose.
Most people were probably happier that warriors lost than about dragons winning

I loved this set. I am a long-time Dragons fan. They deserved this win. PBM has fought so hard to get across that finish line and for it to be PBM to close out Smite 1 SPL before moving to an entirely new game was....right. it just felt right.
He's my GOAT. Will always be the GOAT to me. Across any and all roles. Best SPL tenure and first ballot SPL hall of famer, to me.
PBM brought the heat, and his team were just as good if not better. Dardez deserved MVP for sure - now definitely the mid GOAT.

"Gentleman, shake hands!" Not Netroid going 'C'mere you big teddy bear' and giving him the biggest bro-hug. These two boys were amazing to watch, you could tell they both love this game and adore every moment of being at worlds.
Hearing trelli talk during the world finals makes me realize he is better then every other commentator. he called all the right calls while the people at the desk got alot of calls wrong.

@@lucasteles3574 they dropped AwesomeJake408 at Support in favor of Genetics. They made this decision while they were on the longest win streak IN SPL history. Fans said that as long as they won Worlds, it was a good choice. As we can see here, they did not lol

As a pro player I hope he finally changes his ways he has such a clean game play just needs more lethal gods instead of his same 3 he's become predictable to these other pro teams.

The warriors were the best mechanical team all season, brought Genetics in to help them operate better. But where did he go? I didn't really see any veteranship that was supposed to be his selling point

Then someone asked who was genetics worst teammate over the years, and he said netroid *when he was on the kings* because he would never wake up to scrims. He said that he can say that because he said a lot of good stuff on net already (basically they're friends and on good terms).

The oni fkrs didn't even deserve that second place. Jade Dragons on the other hand had the biggest brake throughout this season, they totally deserve that first place! Especially Lasbra.

They would’ve 100% won with Jake imo. Soooo much natural chemistry with him, Genetics’ shotcalling didn’t offset it at all.
Still, finals aint bad. But this season gave me a lot less respect for Pegon and Panitom, and 0 respect for Netrioid. Slimy.

Hayzer was a coach in early years of Smite and he knows what he's talking about. If you actually listened to what he was saying, he was saying on the desk that he didn't like Pele into Thoth here because of how often these mages go into alternate timeline. Which is a super good point, as he elaborated on, Pele dumps everything to kill a carry but she typically dies too, which is useless if she dumps everything to kill them and they just get rezzed. These commenters really need to listen and play the game to understand how it works frfr

Use your brain, an all in god does not go well into Thoth. A diving god like rat or Thor does because they’re jumping on him from the get go
@Assau1tX Agreed. I'd even argue most times Pele is really good into Thoth as the OG comment suggested, as long as she waits for her blink to be back up like she should. But yeah if she's into a timeline or has her blink down it is so miserable for her. Glad you have a brain good sir!

Dragons won game 2 when lasbra player maman and his pele put in work in game 5 , he did more than enough in the 3 games dragons won it doesn’t matter if he had a bad game 4.
Man Doug was biased as hell for dragons. Never showed solo totems for any other team. Thought it was kinda whack

@mattice9083 It's because the crowd kept cheering for Nika. It's not bias. The totem chants didn't really pick up until Semis so there weren't any for Quarters. The crowd was anti warriors, and Fineo wasn't focusing totems, so in the semis that set wasn't too totem important. Nika in the semis was purposefully goofing around at Totem and emoting on it for the crowd, so they were cheering for him over Ferrymen. Then for the finals, obviously the crowd already favored Nika since alot of the crowd didn't want Warriors to win. It's not hard to understand it wasn't bias if you just paid attention to the games tbh

I'm confused are skins really that important to most players, the skins I unlocked I got from just random chests and didn't spend a single dime. Just gems that I managed to save up or level rewards. The most I've spent on smite is I think 10 dollars and that was only cause the ps4 store had a deal to unlock every charecter in the game fkr 9.99

The ymir pick threw the game... couldnt peel for pagan on 1st blood and blocked off net in the duo... it went downhill from there...
never seen a more boring game to watch...4 kills for 1 team and 5 kills for the other team over 40min into game 1 and 9 total kills on the map..closer to an hour actually.
