What a lovely, fun episode. All the makes are gorgeous and it was so cool to hear what you’ve been up to! The bag making: what a unique experience!😮 so nice to hear the birds singing too… and get an inkling of the glamorous going-on’s in Paris. Thank you both!
All your knitting is beautiful. Sarah please share your steeking experience with us. I've wanted to knit a cardigan for a while but my tension is so different with knits and purls that I have put off doing it. I love the idea of steeking it just not sure I have the courage. 😂 And Paige hopefully one day you'll tell us all the places you've been when you get back. Enjoy!
Sarah, your color work test knit is stunning! The colors are beautiful on you and are really pretty together. I am pretty impressed with how much knitting Paige has been able to do on her travels. Not sure how her luggage is accommodating all of it, but the international shopping would be such a dream.
Paige, your bag is so chic! I love it, especially with the beautiful rose. And your mohair sweater looks amazing on camera. Great job on the bind off. Sarah, I vote for the fingering weight for your black and white stripe. That fabric is perfect. I'm so glad you frogged the brioche and went with the simple cardigan to show off that beautiful yarn. I look forward to your steeking video.❤🧶
Yay, love the energy you two create, its fun having you in different hemispheres, but, looking forward to seeing you side by side again! Loooove the green yarn in stockinette, its just the perfect representation of it! How thoughtful is Jacob for arranging that present for you Paige...He's a keeper !
I absolutely live for these catch ups. it feels like we all just get to watch two best friends update each other on their wips - in the best way! this podcast has always felt that way but especially while yall are apart! the kika test knit is stunning!! also I can not relate to hating italian bind off, I think I hated it when I was learning it but now I look forward to binding off, one because it means the ribbing is over and two because I find it so meditative and love to put on a show and just let it flow knit on purl off, purl off knit on 💗
I've come full circle and I'm so into it now too, real labor of love but its satisfying to put the work in knowing it'll pay off I recon. Thanks lovely ❤❤ PS. Hope your Sari test knit going well!
Awesome video, so happy you are making it work even though you are so far apart. Sarah you are wearing the most gorgeous sweater ever! And Paige the purse is just off the charts! If you haven’t already can you share the link to the sewing workshop in Paris?
Nice to see you two together again! I enjoyed this podcast very much, congrats on the no longer secret test knit. It was cool with the juxtaposition of Australian bird song and dark Paris hotel.
So happy to see this video pop up, thank you for making it work!! 🥰 your projects are looking incredible ☺️ Could I make a very gentle suggestion for Sarah to try sitting inside for the next podcast? Maybe it’s just me, but the combination of the video call audio + all of the background outside noises affected the listening experience a bit 🤍
That colourwork yoke is divine! The colours work beautifully together. I've done a few tests for Laine publications and I think that Laine doesn't let the designer give you the final proof of the pattern, but with the ones I did we did get a discount code to purchase the publication. I think Laine has exclusive rights to distribute the pattern for a certain period of time, and then the designer gets the rights to distribute the pattern later (from memory it was after 18 months).
I'm planning on casting on the same Christmas socks very soon, the little truck with the tree ones have been on my to do list for quite a while ! Love to see your podcast continue through the travels, it's always so nice to watch !
This was so much fun. I hope you do a podcast episode when Paige is back in Australia and Sarah gets to see and touch the fo's for the first time! That would be a blast. Paige - what sweater are you wearing in this episode? x
How nice to see you both at the same time as if you were together in person. So many great knits. Paige this bag looks so much like you, how great ! Sarah, what is the plant behind you, is it jasmine ?
@Sarah: I'm not sure if I'm more amazed by your color choice or your math skill with the mohair! Another "beanie unit" moment for me 😂. And definitely the fingering option for your Sezane dupe. For some reason it feels more luxurious and polished, whereas the thicker version would feel a bit more casual.
Have you checked out Les Tricoteurs Volants (58 Rue du Château d'Eau, 75010 Paris). They are a Parisian yarn store that specializes in non superwash and French yarns. Another one totally jealous of your amazing travels and yarn experiences
@Paige: your WIP and purchase are better than the fashion in Emily in Paris, just saying... Your beanie with the logo is too good, I've decided to make a couple as Christmas gifts 😊
That bag workshop sounds amazing! I love what you made. Thanks for the tip!😊

This podcast is the most wholesome thing ever!
Thanks chicka
What an adventure! Thanks for sharing. And it’s nice to see the Australian spring flowers and hear the lovely birdsong.

Honestly, Paige's knitting/packing ability is a mystery to me too...
Absolutely loved this episode as usual, so much fun to watch, but also kinda bittersweet now that Paige's gone from Paris 😢❤
Thanks chicka ❤️
Love that Kutovakika colour work sweater!
Thank you ❤️

Soooooooo glad you opted for Eva for the green yarn. The color just SINGS in stockinette. Can't wait to see photos of it!
Thank you 💚💚

So exciting to see Paige in Paris, love all your projects especially that bag❤❤❤🎉🎉
Love a steeked cardigan moment! Once I did my first one I haven't looked back. Makes knitting cardigans so much more fun!
Haha thanks, I'm now firmly in camp-steek it :D

Sorry, still working on it...🤦♀️
I enjoyed this episode . I am so curious as how much luggage and how does Paige pack all these knits and yarn? Have you shipped some home ?
Yep she did 😂

Thank you ❤❤
OMG ❤❤❤ thank you so much for spoiling us with another transatlantic(transpacific?) podcast. Love from Germany.
Haha depends which way you're going, but one or the other :P
I'm glad to hear someone else have issues with Petite Knit patterns being recycled. They even appear to be recycling old favourites.
Mmmhmmm...
The white sweater is stunning.
Mmmhmmm
Amazing FOs! Paige, your bag is fabulous!
Thank you ❤❤

Ooo I would love that too 😛 she got it from Sezane

Sarah- is that jasmine in your background? Must smell divine :D
Yep, its heaven in my garden at the moment :)
