Youre doing an admirable job of squeezing all this in at a reduced scale and still making it recognisable! You also have a good intuition for how the place names are pronounced, so trust your gut with that, I'm sure someone will correct you if you get a syllable wrong... 😏 At Dalmarnock there used to be an elevated line that veered north from Dalmarnock station, some remains of its viaduct are still beside the station (now housing the plant for one of the district heating systems) and was the reason for those massive concrete beams bracing the station cutting. The lower land comprising the site of Rutherglen Station was actually Rutherglen's substantial ancient harbour, though it silted up in the late medieval period. You don't need to worry about boats that far up the river as the tidal weir at Glasgow Green prevents any boat getting further upstream. There are boating clubs for canoeing etc that operate upstream from the weir, a couple of their clubhouses are in Glasgow Green, though I think you'll be hard pushed to fit that level of detail in at the scale you're working at. Edit: Oh, and because you asked, that was Dalmarnock Road rather than Springfield Rd :) Can't tell you enough how much I'm enjoying this series, thanks again for sharing it 👍
Great work Grand! It's starting to come together nicely. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing the mix between passenger and freight traffic and the area around Motherwell come to fruition. :)
The one thing you can be certain about a Win10 update is: It'll mess up something that was working perfectly fine before MS decided to 'improve' things.
There is a building site construction mod [within a mod] that has a steel roof which may be used for the station. It's in the 'Asset Expansion' mod [I believe] and you find it in the last 'Misc' icon in the assets section under: Rohbau Produktionshallen [a grey scale construction site picture with coming soon on it].
A tip for using my roads: my Urban Expressway doesn't have sidewalks, while the City Road does. By the looks on Google Maps, the A728 there do have sidewalks, so I would suggest changing that to a City Road. Otherwise a fantastic episode.
Can’t wait to get away from work and have a watch of this! 2nd best bit of my week this is 😅. Edit, after watching, nice looking station You have there.
The two cateneries very close to each other are, I think, caused by the ballast that the game counts as track right before the station, maybe get it out a bit further
Another great one! You mentioned a football stadium (Celtic Park??) I know there are a couple of football/soccer stadium assets on the workshop that may work for you. I've modelled DKR Stadium here in Austin (not posted on the workshop.. trademark fear.) If you want Celtic Park, I can give it a go....
Thank you, as for the grounds, it would be lovely to have the actually assets. But if we have Celtic Park, we'd have to have Ibrox Stadium... things may get ugly otherwise. lol
Your voice sounds a bit raspy towards the end... don't go getting sick. Nice start on Dalmarnock.... these deep cutting stations are a pain to do in TPF2. Which is such a shame.
Due to the half scale and cramming in all the stations, I really think the speed mods (which i know you are going to do) should be on most parts of the network; and, again, with a little artistic license, keep the speeds down, so that the journeys take a bit longer. Much like your visual "artistic license" things, nothing crazy; just 15 instead of 30 closer to stations, and 45 instead of 60, on the open sections. (thinking more of the local service for that one.) And less time at 70-90 for the high speed sections.
Add mount vernon , bailiston , bargeddie , kirkwood, and wifflet , ( other way ) brigeton, argiyle street, central low level , anderson , exabition centre, partick, hindland , jordonhill, scotstonhill , garskaden, clidebank, and dalmuir
Okay, I haven't started watch yet and I already have a beef as I see that the video is less then an hour long. I pay great money for my entertainment here GT and expect nothing less then quality hour long videos. LOL!! Okay, I am guessing less fuff today, mixed with less detailing (or less saying it and more doing) or a complete video that will be a failure and GT runs away off screen to try to create/simple make it work situation. Time to see.......
1min in and I have guessed correctly (sadly) but more computer/window related. Now I hope the rest of the video is amazing..... which I know it will be since it is an GT video!!
leisure assets in Stream allows you to create pools and old Foot pitches but I have seen that SM1 has created a better assest mod on transportfever.net under Assets/SM1. Here is a link to a video of the mod: ruclips.net/video/Hg4hRFEcWd4/видео.html (no sound as far as I can see). Hope this helps as I have never used the mod.
✔️ Artistic licence
✔️ Official episode
Very excited to see where this map is going! Can't wait to see some passengers ride those trains with us
We're probably only a few episodes away from some AI using trains!

I believe the bus stop is called Springfield road because it is adjacent but I could be mistaken.
@@drlampost Ah, I see what you're saying, my bad! :)
as a edinburgh/central belt native this is great to watch also there is a heritage railway near edinburgh that would be good for steam

Thousands of objects for a only two tracks station. Well done! 👍
GrandT, I bet you had Lego as a kid! Great job mate!
Yes I did. :D

I travel this route every day to and from Central on my way to work, you're doing a great job!
Thank you! :)

Well spotted, I used that in TpF1. Good to see it move over to TpF2.
i am always waiting for your new video man, keep the great work..
Thank you! :)
The UK catenary thing is an easy fix, there's a value for it in the model file that tells it how far it should space the masts around bends

Doing great with place pronunciations, can't wait until you get to Milngavie but, lol

Just do him a model of a toilet, that would be a better fit 😁

Hey Great Vids, Also i can't seem to find the custom bridge assets!
www.transportfever.net/filebase/index.php?entry/5064-joefried-viadukte/ This one?
already thursday!! Yey!! TF2 day!!
Are you also gonna add the Glasgow Subway?
I will be attempting it, yes!
Doesn't matter if we miss Celtic Park mate, Rangers is better anyway :)
Maybe get Ibrox in if he does the subway.
Partick Thistle for the win ;)...
Hehe

Do the bus route actually follow real bus route
They will do, or at least close as possible - as some roads won't exist due to scale.
