A higher education from a Chinese university is nearly worthless outside of china. The rest of the world knows you can buy good test scores and a high GPA. Foreigners generally can not work or become Chinese citizens.

I’ve found you can have plumbing, electrical work, and even light industry done cheaply by self taught independent people here.

Honestly, "who you know" also applies in the US, too that that's a very, very small percentage of the jobs. As for the general job market (which is bad right now), the people I see on these videos just brag how book smart they are. Book smart just proves you have a good memory. What you do what that knowledge is what makes you different. Need to spend more time on critical thinking and just not memorizing text.

I was a student there and there are foreign students who would be able to keep up with the Chinese students except for one issue the Chinese language is difficult and some schools even if they have the same course you have in Chinese in your language they will refuse you the chance to take that course which makes studying there not worth it if you are undergrade. masters and up is easier because it's in your native language.

They have a good reason for doing this, these foreign students are likely sent there by rich and powerful parents who are interested in investing in China, interested in potentially making factories or simply doing business in China and the foreign students who make lots of connections during their time are also likely to want to do business in China. When they do business in China they are going to hire Chinese people. This seems unfair on the surface, but it's part of a sensible longer term strategy. You can't complain about that there's no jobs for grads, then get annoyed when universities aren't running at full capacity to create as many local graduates as possible, because instead they are investing in rich foreigners who are likely to create the jobs for these grads.

    • @andromedamessier3176

Lol these are thai and Pakistan rich people. If anything, china wants that connection in those places. So they can set up business in that country.
