I am going to return the compliment by telling you a story. Contrary to all beleif, SAMBHAR was not invented by Tamil. It was made by Maharastrians. Maratha Ruled Tanjore. The Man in charge wanted to prepare typical Maharastrian Dal. He could not get Kokum. So he tried Puzhi and found it tasty. This Dish was first offered to King Sambhaji. Sambhaji ka Ahar (Food for Sambhaji) got twisted to Sambhar.

I prepared this for my night dinner as a side dish for Adai on 17th April 2020. It came out excellent and we all liked the recipe. My mom used to prepare this and It was very easy to prepare by myself. But the only difficulty is that cutting all the vegetables will take some time. The preparation part is very easy. Thanks for the recipe.

Would like to give you tip that you can pressure cook vegetables with little turmeric & salt without adding water for 1 or two whistles by adding water to cooker & keeping veggies in a vessal.The veggies do not get over cooked. Moreover sour curd only gives it a good taste. Hope you will appreciate feed back
