This man was my tour guide at Buffalo Trace. I will always remember his joke about the bad news that the owners were not in his family. Dude is serious funny and his old man worked for the distillery. He is a gem of the business. Wish I could go back and see him again. I in no way regret my one day in Kentucky and spending it with him.

I have a very short list of people I would totally freak out about if I got to meet them. Freddie Johnson is definitely high up on that list. You can tell he’s just a great man who really loves and appreciates what he does.

@BuffaloTrace has the company (Sazerac) thought about creating a signature line of bourbon in the name of Freddie Johnson, and, or his family, i.e Blantons, E.H. Taylor...?
After watching the 'History of Bourbon' documentary on HULU, I became a consistent Buffalo Trace customer mainly due to Freddie Johnsons stories and his ability to connect with people. He is is pure GOLD! Freddie comes across as a salt of the earth type person!

They do. He actually has his own root beer that’s available at the gift shop. Not bourbon but I believe Freddie is happy and content with it.
